@ Lostin: Converse would be key, yes. I work with kids and one of the more...annoying children came in one day wearing converse high tops. He called them something else and was going on and on about how awesome they are and how all the cool kids wear them and I told him that they have more of a nerdy origin in popularity and tried telling him about Doctor Who 'til I saw his eyes glaze over. I had lost him.

@ Taiyo: Woah...wait. He was in a Harry Potter movie? Which? I am American and I had heard of him from the Doctor Who show.

Yeah, I'm an American too (looks like everyone online tonight is! How odd!) and the only reason I knew about Doctor Who was because my mom used to watch the old Tom Baker episodes back when they used to be on PBS.

I'm not exactly sure what the percentage of Americans is.... All I know is that I've met people from all over the world. even Australia! Thats why there are people online 24/7.

but I was actually referring more to this particular thread. There are less Americans in this thread, because Doctor Who isnt quite so widely known here.

This is true and quite sad. There are so many great UK shows. I am watching one now. :D It's called Peep Show. I would link you to it but I don't know if that is allowed.

aha, is it not PG-13? lol

I like UK shows too! Especially Catherine Tate's comedy stuff! I seriously quote her all the time, but of course nobody has ever heard of "Aint bovvered" or "How very dare you!" or "gooseberry & cinnamon yogurt" around here! *cries*

While I am not too familiar with Cathrine Tate (I probably am but just not remembering it) I promise that you can go all Doctor Who mumbley on me. Hahaha. We can have one of those "repeat the same word in different tones and stll have a complete conversation" moments. :) Those are always a good time.

No. It's not PG 13. It's rather adult. But hilarious if you are a growned up. :3

I always wanted to have an entire conversation using only DW quotes. In real life. Seriously!! My dad and I do it all the time with Homestar Runner.... whats more nerdy than that?

Okay.
Are there ANY crocheters in here?
Because.
Five.
And Ten.
I've only just begun crocheting (literally, only a week ago), so I'm not up to par for making them, but they are on my faves list at Ravelry (which I caved and joined right after learning to crochet).
When I get there, guess what's first on my queue!

I crochet. I would love to see what you are linking there but it says I need to create an account. What is it, exactly? And while I am not the BEST crocheter, I am fairly clever when it comes to crafty things so I can help you out to the best of my ability.

Gr. Um.
Here's Ten. That same person just made modifications to that one to make Five and Rose, which I've just found.

Welcome Rhumbullion! Do you go by any other names? That's quite a mouthful. :)

Hur hur crocheting.. sometimes I wish I could do it. I just started knitting last year and I seriously don't understand how to follow the patterns and that.. I can knit forever, but when I need to make changes I get all confused. Dx

By the way guys, I've made an event thread as usual! So come over here and join me!

You may just call me Rhum. It's much faster and everyone would still know who you were talking about...unless I have an evil twin here...
