Man, the thread is dead tonight. Everyone's busy with family time and other plans. :XD You know, but us. We had gaming time and now we veg.

Just found out my mom is in the hospital. Trying to find out what the issue is.

Edit: Apparently she was having chest pains, so she went in to the doctor as they were becoming more frequent and painful. They said her blood pressure was abnormally high, and found out she hadn't been on her blood pressure medication like she's suppose to. (She blames it on not having the money for it...yes she smokes... -_-) Well they had her schedule a stress test today, and they told her to check into the hospital as they did an EKG and a Ecocardiogram(sp?) and are keeping her in the hospital over the weekend for monitoring. She's scheduled for a catheter on Monday and they're going to use some sort of dye to color her heart so they can do more tests? Something about part of her heart is weaker than the other, while the other is stronger and doing more work to make up for it. Well they thought she might of had a small heart attack over the weekend, but apparently have ruled it out.

That's exactly everything I know right now. I called her a half hour after the room number was down, but the nurse let me talk to her...

Oooh. Hopefully she's okay and the tests show a quick fix. :/

Yah me too. Dad seems to think she has Angina. I just hope this will motivate her to quit smoking...Because that's definitely not helping her health. :/

She should definitely quit. Hopefully there is a quick fix. But on the other hand if she continues to smoke the problem will continue to get worse no matter what treatment she's given or meds she takes. D: I hope you, dad, and even the hospital staff can convince her and provide support. :hug:

Hope your mom is okay, hon! I know the frustration. My grandma has emphysema and the lack of oxygen also makes her brain not work as well (and she was always *so* smart), and she still refuses to quit smoking. :(

Sorry I was gone last night, guys. Went to study with "Charles" last night and we ended up watching a bunch of Star Trek stuff. Hehe. I am so exhausted today, but it was totally worth it.

Well my dad and my brother use to smoke, but quit not too long ago. They'll know exactly what it's like to quit and be able to be support her.

Yah that's what I'm thinking too, Chi. I think she should still keep things going as they are. He may just be incredibly shy and wary about relationships and so it takes some time to develop trust to take things further. He sounds like such a nice guy for you though that I'd continue hanging out with him. I'm sure if he was totally against the idea he wouldn't be cuddling with you and showing other signs of affection. <3

Heh, yeah, he's pretty focused on school. And he is absurdly shy and not super self confident. So those things don't help much either. But there is lots of affection going on. Which makes me happy. *sigh*
I'm so dorky, but it's nice having a crush, actually. It is a nice feeling, compared to the numbness I've been in for the last couple of years.

Omgoodness, I had to practically bash Travis over the head with a 2x4 to get him to open up! He had had a horrible relationship before me. She was cheating on him. He knew it. He thought he could change her... Bad ju-ju.

BUT! Once I finally got him to open a little - and laugh a LOT! He saw that I wasn't out to hurt him... unless snuggling to death counts!

D'aww! Yeah, "Charles" has opened up to me a lot. We both suffer from depression, so we have a lot to talk about there.
He's such a sweetheart, though.

@Cami: Indeed. I don't like referring to people in my life by their real names, in case they wouldn't want to be identified online (and especially when I have a crush on them, haha). So instead of his real name, I call him Charles.
And perhaps some fancy boots or layered socks and stockings?

I tend to call people by their initials hyphen relation. D-roommate, E-roommate, S-friend, P-brother.
