Dried apples are delicious. And dried carrots aren't bad either.

Powdered eggs smell AWFUL though. And powdered cheese. And any corn product that isn't whole corn.

Also don't try to eat dried peas, they will break your teeth.

That would be an interesting job though. I would enjoy that, even if I still wouldn't feed my pups Purina. Haha.

My coworker had the best job. She got case files from the complaint/questions/compliments call center (which is outsourced to another company) when they met certain criteria, and then would get samples from the customers who called. We'd see all sorts of weird stuff that people claimed was in their pet food. This one lady claimed that tiny pink flamingos (like, confetti-sized) came in a bag of food for large dogs. Another customer said she got a whole cheeseburger in one of her bags.

We also got a lady who tried to tell us that there was grass seed in her dog food. We're like "none of our suppliers even handle grass seed, that's impossible, it didn't come from us." A week later she called back and said that her dog sitter had used the bag to store grass seed 9_9

We got plenty of legit calls too though. There was a belt that had snapped off of one of the machines at one of the plants and made it into one of the bags and got sent back to us. We were able to verify with the plant which part it was. It was a huge piece, I was surprised it didn't catch on something before bagging. We also got calls about pieces of wood, usually from old pallets that splinter pieces off and puncture a bag, then break off.

Corgis are hilarious. My friend has one who is afraid of floor vents (she got her tags stuck on one once). Throw a toy over the vent? It's gone forever, man, just let it go. She will NOT cross it. xD

4am wakeup calls, every day. Though now I can sleep through it, there was a rough transition period for me.

Yeah, roosters are like mockingbirds. They require very little light before they start calling. Porch lights, a very bright moon, headlights from a car....they'll set it off.
I had a freaking mockingbird that kept calling at TWO IN THE MORNING!!! ARGH I WANTED TO KILL IT!
I never got used to it at all. I hate summers because of that dang bird. He hasn't come back yet this year, though. Maybe he got too old.

Hubby's mom used to live down the street from a guy who kept peacocks. He said those were the worst. :C

Oh yeaaaaaah. Peacocks are soooo annoying. But, they ARE pretty!
