Pottermore is apparently going to open to the public this April. Those of us who couldn't get into beta won't have to wait much longer. :yes:

MyHogwarts has pretty much opened up to everyone in Beta now, so at least I'm getting to experience the Harry Potter fandom a little bit. There's not much on there at the moment, though. My "Dorm Room" is mostly just filled with people gossiping about Pottermore. :lol:

What dorm room are you in? I'm there too, spazzing with cutie all the way and prodding her with my wand. XD My roomies are great, though, very enthusiatic. ^^

I'm on Pottermore right now. I was put into Hufflepuff...yay :D that's exactly where I should be lol
I finished the first book and sadly am at a stand still since the 2nd book isn't up yet, us being in beta and all. I was on a roll, it kinda sucks to be stuck waiting.

I know how that feels! I haven't logged in in a while, it's just kind of stale, right now... Let's hope after April they'll open the second book.

I missed out on being part of the open Beta so I am getting EXTREMELY antsy for when it actually opens. It was supposed to open MONTHS ago, but I guess they with all the work they have been doing to it the wait will be worth it.

I have to laugh. All the people I know IRL that are on Pottermore, are either Slytherins *Like Me ^.^* - or Ravenclaws *laughs*

I just did this. It was a lot of fun. I spent several hours going through everything just now.

I hate the username system a lot though. I am ThestralSpirit5903 because all the other choices (by which I mean the four other choices...) were terrible, and the fewer digits in a name, the more I like it. /is extremely picky. I don't understand why we can't choose usernames. Is it going to change when the site is out of beta?

I also didn't like the sorting quiz... I mean, why do you care if I prefer forests or rivers? What does it matter? Maybe there's some kind of reference I am missing though... Oh well.

Widow: no there wont be a way to change the name. It's in effort to keep little kids safe on the internet.

Also with the quiz every answer you give tips the balance to one of the four houses. That's why some people have tie braker questions.

I guess that makes sense. I mean, even Neopets allows you to choose your own name, and kids can always be supervised. But it makes sense.

I know how quizzes work. I used to write them all the time. There was a question that was like "How do you want to be remembered?" and the answers were like "brave", "nice", "wise", and "great". Something like that. Anyway, that made sense. Some questions didn't. But I guess the writer of it probably had a reason for putting questions like that. I'm no Harry Potter expert. Can you explain what house I am more weighed to if I choose "river" over "forest"?

sorry but I don't know what Rawling was thinking of when she came up with the questions. To me, forest would probably be earthier houses, probably Slytherin and Hufflepuff, while river makes me think of more open, less confined houses, Ravenclaw and Gryffindor. But thats just me.

I'm not sure that's how it works. Every answer must have a psychological meaning to it, and that is what makes you lean towards one house or the other. My mother explained that very nicely to me.

And it wasn't a special writer that made up the Sorting method, it was Rowling herself.

I just joined Pottermore and after going through the chapters finally got myself sorted, and I was surprised to find that I'm in Slytherin. I'm not disappointed or anything, just surprised. I thought I was more of a Ravenclaw or Hufflepuff type.
