"Doing research," the brunnete smiles, though the smile widens as she notices Leane's blush. "Oh my. You were up to no good, huh?"

"Well, you could say that.. but really it was just keep Fynn from getting into a lot of trouble.."

Sitting down beside Anna, Leane explained the previous evenings events starting from the library to the interview with Professor Snape.

"..so you see, if it remained in my trunk, and they asked if I had any, I couldn't honestly tell them no, and they'd search, which would put Fynn into a lot of trouble.."

As Leane had begun to tell her story, Anna'd closed her book and put it aside, calmly listening to the circumstances. It amazed her, somewhat, that Leane would be so open to her. Didn't the other girl dislike her?

At the end of the story, though, Anna was laughing cheerfully. "You're really covering your bases - but that's what a good liar does." Grinning, the brunnette nods approvingly.

Leane scowled as she stood up, "I knew it was a mistake trying to talk to you like I would Saiyuri.. just forget I told you." Stalking off Leane's temper got the best of her. 'How dare she make it seem like all I do is lie! Ugh! And everyone wonders why I think Liam's an idiot for liking her! And I'm even more of an idiot for trying to be her friend and confiding in her!'

Still fuming, she went into the common room and quickly dressed. Pulling a brush through her hair, Leane was too infuriated to do anything with it or put on make up. Shoving her arms through her cloak, Leane hurried downstairs and went to the bathroom to brush her teeth. As everyone finally started getting up, Leane made her way out of the common room and went upstairs to wait for Fynn. Pacing in the hallway, still fuming and cursing Anna as she waited.

Not witnessing Leane's temper, Josh went about getting ready for the day as normal before heading out of the common room and heading off to the usual spot at which he met Kalli.

Kalli, Liam, and Drew all, like Josh, got ready as normal and headed down to the Great Hall for a spot of breakfast.

With running off like that so suddenly, Leane left behind a very confused, and somewhat hurt Anna. Thinking over the one thing she had said, the Belgian girl tried to figure out what exactly she had done wrong to send the other girl running off. Finding nothing noteworthy in her small sentence - and rather, having expected to be able to confide in a fellow skilled liar - to have been offensive, Anna sat on the stone bench feeling a bit depressed - and purposely staying there throughout breakfast.

"What're you being all anxious for?" Fynn called out to her from a distance, walking down the staircase towards Leane. He hadn't noticed yet that her pacing was due to rage, rather then impatience. "Don't tell me you were waiting?"

Leane stopped pacing as she heard Fynn's voice and looked up at him. Forcing a smile, Leane wrapped her arms around his neck when he reached her and placed a tender kiss upon his lips, "No, not at all. Sleep well?"

"Just fine," he replied calmly, looking at her with slightly narrowed eyes. "Though somethings' wrong. What happened?"

"Nothing, nothing at all. Anna only practically said that all I do is lie, but nothing out of the ordinary. Let's go get breakfast," she said in a hurried rush as she slipped her hand into is, linking their fingers as she led him down the hall.

He allowed her to lead him for a moment, before pulling her to a halt. "She did what?" The tone of his voice predicted thunder. Lightning would soon follow.

Leane shook her head, "Really, it's nothing, I'm fine."

After a few moments of walking again Leane stopped and burst out what happened, "... Ugh! She just makes me so angry! How could she practically say that all I do is lie?! I do not always lie.. I only weasel my way out of getting into trouble. That hardly makes me a liar. I was definitely wrong in trying to confide in her like I would Saiyuri. She is no Saiyuri."

"I don't think you were wrong in trying to confide in her," Fynn said quietly, following after her with his mind racing. "But she isn't Saiyuri. She's more like you-" he raised his hand in advance, trying to keep her from getting mad at him, "Which I don't mean in a bad way, it's just to explain why you two clash."

Leane rolled her eyes as she pulled her hand from his and crossed her arms, still scowling, "How the hell is she like me. We're completely different! She's a peppy little brat who said that I lie all the time!"

He grins lightly, amazed that she doesn't see the resemblance herself - but not planning on getting into trouble with her. Instead, he offers her his hand again - hoping he won't be turned away. "You're right - she's different. I apologize."

Eying him, Leane stopped and leaned her back against the wall as she took his hands into hers, not really angry with Fynn, just confused and angry with Anna, "You're a bad liar. I know very well that's not what you think. Tell me, Mr. MacMillan, how are Anna Van Orsenhoven and Leane Supton similar?"

"Because you both know when I'm lying," he frowned lightly, crossing his arms over his chest. "I'm not saying you're a liar. It's like you said - you're good at getting out of trouble. But the same goes for Anna - I've heard how she's improvised an elaborate lie. I could never do that."

Leane frowned as she too crossed her arms over her chest, glaring down at the floor, "Talk about calling the kettle black.. No matter how similar we are, she had no right to call me a pathological liar. I'm not a liar.."

He nods, agreeing; "You're right. You're not - and that's seriously hypocritical."

Leane sighed as she let her arms fall to her sides, still looking at the floor, "I'm just a magnet for fights... aren't I.."

"It's because you act so confident, most of the time," FYnn smiles as he wraps his arms around her, moving a bit to the side so that no one will bump into them. "People expect that you can take a punch." The smile he gives her is warm, and gently he brushes her hair behind her ear. "They don't expect you to be the way you are."

Sighing, Leane leaned into his palm, "I know.. and if it were from anyone else I probably could have taken it and retaliated with a curse.. But with Anna.. Sai made me promise to be nice.. so when she called me a pathological liar I.. I reacted like I would if it had been you who said it to me.. I shouldn't let her bother me so much.. I just.. Do you think that I'm a liar? Does everyone think that? I mean, Anna hardly knows me and she's calling me one..."

"Anna annoyed me so much that I admitted to loving you," Fynn smiled lightly at her as he shrugged. "She's the devil's advocate - she tells you things you don't want to know because she thinks it'll help you. The only way she know WHAT buttons to push is because she pays attention to people."

Letting out a small sigh, he started caressing her cheekbone with his thumb, his headed tilted in the opposite direction of hers. "I don't think you're a liar. You're good at getting out of trouble - but then, you're a Slytherin, so that's not so strange. I don't know what others think about you - but I don't think they see you as a liar."

While one hand slid into Fynn's hair and the other rested on his hip, Leane pulled him in for a long, deep, tender kiss, her tongue slipping between his lips to softly brush against his. Looking up at him as she broke the kiss, Leane placed a tender kiss upon his forehead before resting her forehead against his, "I suppose I'd best go and apologize for losing my temper... shouldn't I.. She is Saiyuri's friend, after all.. Not to mention she is one of the reasons we admitted our feelings to one another.. Though I can't fully forgive her.. she did say I was a complete liar, after all..."

"Hear her out," he suggests, gently rubbing his nose against hers. "And tell her what you think. I think you two just have to sit down and get prejudices out of the way."

Leane sighed as she wrapped placed a tender kiss upon Fynn's lips before giving him a hug, "Wish me luck?"

He smiles against her lips before kissing back, "Good luck."
