Bruce did his best to comfort Helena, though he wasn't sure exactly how to do so.

"I don't know...but we need to find out." Gemini said.

Lena was glad he didn't push her away. After a few minutes she pulled away rubbing her eyes. "I get why mom likes hugging you its like a firm teddy bear." Lori snorted on her laugh. "Come on let's get home and...bury Damien...do you want to rebury Jason?" Lori asked taking Bruce's hand.

A look of mixed fury and pain crossed Bruce's features. "We'll bury them both. But Jason will be buried in an unmarked grave in the local cemetary. He doesn't belong with us anymore." He shook his head. "This time, I'll do it myself to make sure."

Gemini bowed her head. "I should get home. Do you need any help?" She asked.

Lori gave her a hug. "Just try and keep Joker quiet Bruce may just kill him." She whispered before heading to Damien carefully arranging the cape so it was he shroud.

Gemini nodded. "Will do." She said. She glanced at Damian once more before she left, and ran home as fast as she possibly could. When she got to the door, she took a deep breath before entering. Don't cry. Don't cry. Don't cry.

Bruce stood up and came over to Damian. He picked him up carefully, making sure he stayed covered. "Let's go. Alfred is probably worried."

Joke looked up. "Welcome back! I managed to survive... What happened?" He frowned.

After they got home Lori held Martha as she watched Bruce and Alfred dig a grave Lena was up in one of the spare rooms sleeping. As they finished Lori held Martha up to Bruce "Daddy!" She reached for him smiling.

Don't cry don't cry don't cry... Gemini burst into tears instantly, trying fruitlessly to wipe them away. Between sobs, she managed to explain what happened.

Bruce managed a tortured smile as he took Martha. "Hello, princess. Were you a good girl?" He asked.

Lori sat down next to him as Martha nodded her head giggling softly. She had no idea what was going on all she cared was that she was getting attention from her father. "I bet she was as good as I am." Lori smirked a little.

Joker grimaced a little. "I don't think I can say anything that will help since I'm the one who killed Jason in the first place." he hugged her gentle.

Bruce chuckled. "I'll bet." He said. "Well, it's late. We should all get to bed now. Do you want to sleep with us, princess?" He asked Martha.

Gemini buried her face in his chest. "Well, now we have something else in common." She said with a giggle that sounded slightly hysteric. "I just wish I could have done something. I spent years at school to become a nurse, but I still couldn't save Damian. He was too young...had such a bright future...and now Martha won't get to know her big brother. Helena was just getting to know him, too. It's not right that he's gone. It's not fair..."

Martha nodded then yawned snuggling her head against his shoulder. "Daddy." she mumbled happily making Lori nearly burst into tears. It was so cute almost like the girl knew her father was unhappy and wanted to be cute to make him happy.

Joker swallowed and smoothed her hair sighed he really didnt feel bad but he hated to see her cry. "Why don't I ask around the underworld see if anyone knows anything?"

Bruce secretly shared Lori's thought, and nearly cried himself. However, he knew he couldn't burst into tears in front of Martha, since she would get upset. "That's my girl. Let's go." he said, taking Lori's hand with his free one and heading inside.

Gemini sniffled. "I'd appreciate it. Although I'm not sure I'd do anything even if you found something. After what happened with Jason, the whole back-from-death thing is probably not the best idea."

"Maybe." Joker kissed her cheeks and smiled at her. "Though I do like ruining Bruce's life." he shrugged.

Lori followed Bruce and changed Martha before herself tucking both of there bodies under the bed. "Daddy story!" Martha demanded with a pout. "Pwease."

Gemini had to chuckle. "I've noticed it's something of a pastime for you." She said, rubbing her eyes. "The twins are asleep, right? Can we go to bed, too?" She asked, suddenly exhausted.

Bruce smiled. "Alright, but just one. Let's see..." He thought for a moment. "Okay, I've got a new one. This is a story about the brave prince Damian." He started, and wove a story about a brave prince who saved the kind, queen and princess, and as a reward he got to go live in a place more beautiful than anything.

By the time Bruce had finished Martha was asleep thumb in her mouth little hand clenching Lori's shirt. "Bruce..." she broke off with a shaky sigh. "I haven't said it but I'm going to miss him." she sniffed and leaned her head against his shoulder.

"Bed sounds good." Joker lifted her up and carried her to bed.

Bruce nodded, rubbing her back. "Me too, Lori. More than I can say." He said, once more pushing back the tears he so badly wanted to let fall.

Gemini fell asleep in his arms, before they even got to their room.

Lori hugged him tight. "I'm here love go ahead and let it out."

Bruce shuddered, trying to hold it in, but ultimately failed. He finally released the built up tears, and cried silently into Lori's shoulder until he had cried himself to sleep.

Lori woke to Martha poking her face. "Neh." she grumbled then hushed Martha leaving Bruce to sleep. She took Martha to the kitchen and began to cook letting Martha play with her blocks.

Bruce woke up a few minutes later, noticing the absence of warmth from Lori's side of the bed. Rubbing his eyes, he headed down to the kitchen, figuring that Lori and Martha would be there.

Gemini woke up the next morning feeling foggy and bleary-eyed. Despite that, she got up and started making breakfast, as if on autopilot.

Joker was already there pancakes on the table making faces as he feed the twins and himself. "Morning." he smiled with flour on his cheek.

Lori looked up from her waffles and smiled at him. "How are you feeling?" she asked reaching for the plates. Alfred was watching Martha play a sad, pained look on his face even though the boy had been trouble at first Alfred had come to think of Damien as a grandson just like he thought of Bruce as a son.

Gemini smiled, though it didn't quite reach her eyes. "Morning. Thanks for making breakfast." She said, coming to sit down.

Bruce grimaced. "I'm feeling...well, about how you'd expect." He said, going to help her set the table.

"No you sit." Lori jumped as Helena screamed. "Jeepers!" Martha started to cry. "Ack! You get the large girl I'll get the small one." she pulled Martha to her hushing her.

"I thought you needed it." Joker kissed her cheek.

Bruce didn't waste time answering, he just ran to find Helena. "Helena? Lena, are you okay?"

Gemini nodded. "Thank you. You were right." She said.

Lena was sitting up in bed casting around a look of fear. She raced to Bruce and collapsed against him crying.

"I'm the best." Joker chuckled taking the spoon April was trying to eat away.

Bruce patted her back reassuringly. "It's okay...I'm here. What happened?" He asked, figuring she had a nightmare.

"Yes you are. Cal, put that down!" Gemini said, catching Cal just before he threw a piece of pancake down to Lucifer. Lucifer huffed and slunk away.
