@ lina - I love french braids. I worked at a science and animal camp as a counselor for the summer and would always braid the little girls hair in my cabin. Haha. I really liked it, but I cant seem to do mine very well. It's just too long and tangles. I would love for people to do stuff with my hair, though! I want it to look pretty. One of my fellow counselors in my cabin would play with my hair sometimes. She did a crown before and it was really nice to have it out of the way without being too heavy.

Yup. I prefer good people that I can really enjoy spending time with that understand me and won't judge me. In being an odd person, it's hard to find those kind of people. But I really treasure my friends. Haha. I get attached too!

Yeah, I've been at school doing schoolwork today because I knew I wouldn't get stuff accomplished at home. But I couldn't stay too late because then I wouldn't be able to take the bus home. And what did I do as soon as I got home? Parked my butt with some sweets and put on My Neighbor Totoro while reading manga updates I'm so useless sometimes

But it made me pretty great at french braids. I had never really done it before then. I even experimented with doing fish-tail french braids. I liked it. Oh, that same counselor also braided my hair into Princess Leia buns! :D

Oh, i've not heard of that before, but I've seen those hairstyles. I think that style is super pretty. I didn't know you could get it like that. My hair will form into ringlets or small waves if I let it stay down. But brushing it just turns it all into friz. :x I could try to find pics, but I don't have too many that show how long my hair is. I've put some in the photo sharing thread on mene, though, in the past. I added my recent Halloween one where my hair was braided into a noose around my neck

You could probably find a place to do the perms if you tried real hard, but I bet it'd probably be really expensive then :(

Yes! I don't see the point in having a lot of money if you're miserable getting it, which takes up most of your life anyway. Poor but enjoying each day sounds great to me :)
I cry every time. I'm such a wimp. But I still watch it. lol I remember I bawled during Chronicles of Narnia when the lion died when I was in theatres. I was so embarrassed.

Normally I'm no good at making myself do that. This time I planned ahead. I would like to do it tomorrow, too, but I'm pretty sure the library will be closed since it's a holiday. :x I know classes are canceled.

@ lina - Haha, well most of them come from pretty rich families, so a lot of them were indeed pretty spoiled. But they were such sweet girls. And I liked how much fun they had and how much they enjoyed it. It was definitely worth it. I had a great time.
I went to camp once as a child and then went back as a counselor at that same camp. Then I worked at this camp for the summer. That's about it. I wish I had been able to go to camp more as a kid. I loved the nature and science of it, and the animals.

Yeah, so much frizz. It doesn't help I have super dry hair, so it just does it more. Especially in humidity. It's like a big fluff ball. I have really thick hair, so it's pretty voluptuous regularly. It gets in the way down, though. It's so heavy now that it just goes straight down instead of really keeping it's volume outward.
Here it is if that helps. It was really fun and I have wanted to do it for years. I wish I'd had more time to work on it, but I would have been late to work. I just did it real quick in a half hour. Maybe i'll try again next year if my hair is still long.

@ lina - My group that I had was around 9-12 years old usually. So its a pretty good age. I would get lots of hugs, though. I miss those ornery kids, though.

I don't like brushing my hair. Its too time consuming. So I just leave it braided even when home. My hair use to be straight before I cut it off. Then it curled up since the weight was gone. It can be a bit irritating, honestly, but I think curls are pretty. It's a hard line to decide on.

If you want to give your hair more volume you may be able to put it in braids overnight when it's wet and take them out in the morning. That may give you wavy hair.

Hmm. I'm not sure. It may depend on your type of hair. You could try loose or tight and see which works better for you? And then maybe use mousse the next day to keep its volume? I don't really leave my hair down, so I'm not sure. But this is what my hair does when left braided all day and then taken out. It tends to have more volume. So maybe it will work for you, too? You could probably look up tutorials online, too.

I feel like there are a lot of bad hairstylists, for sure. They don't really seem to know how to do what people request and sort of do their own thing sometimes. I know many unsatisfied people. And they're all very expensive. It costs $20 just to trim a couple of inches off my hair. Literally all they have to do is cut it straight across the bottom and they expect that. So ridiculous. I just have my mom do it now.

And it's got great jokes. I get Hooked on a Feeling stuck in my head a lot after that movie.
