Haha, well my 21st birthday was spent with my family, so it wasn't particularly exciting.

Oh did I tell you I went through another set of health concerns and medical tests? Cuz I found out what i have and how to start dealing with it if I did.

No, those were honestly just because of neck strain and went away once I got away from the couch at my parents house (which was apparently causing it)

But no a few months back I found out that my male hormones level are extremely high and so I went to an endocrinologist to find out why. So they did a blood test and discovered that I have PCOS (Polycistic Ovarian Syndrome) which causes a number of symptoms such as high male hormone levels, high blood sugar (which I also have), can lead to diabetes, and troubles with conceiving later in life.
So I'm basically on this medicine now called metformin and have to start controlling my diet.

oh wow... and how is that working out? is it affecting you much?

Not yet honestly.
It's kinda one of those things you have to work out over time and it's not curable, which sucks.
But it's better to have caught it now than when I start trying to have kids and can't.

that is very true. i'm glad that it's figured out at least... not knowing would be so much more sucky

Yep and my poor sister just discovered she had it (it's genetic) but because she's trying to have kids and can't. So i'm grateful if a bit frustrated.

Me too, I'm done with being sick. These meetings suck, too. Since I showed up for one at 11, the person I was supposed to meet with didn't show up, so I had to sit around for an hour, and do nothing.

I would have let him know, but he doesn't care. He is annoying and my meetings with him are so useless. I can't wait until he is tired of meeting and lets me stop going. Since it's not like he goes anyways.

everything is going great Olivia started school and loves it. (though she's kinda grummpy in the morning.)
I'm still looking for a job though >.< I think when I get all better I'm going to hit it hard.

The meetings are for my job on the newspaper. I do a graphic design portion, and he is an English major, and has no idea what he is talking about, but I have to answer to him.

oh that is kind of sucky... too bad you couldn't do a collaboration or something, ya know, especially if he doesn't know much about the topic at hand

I usually just ignore him and don't take his suggestions. But we've been trying to meet to discuss changes I need to be made to the website, and he is slow as can be, and tells me it's too many, when it's like... 7 tiny things. And I used to code, so I know it's easy enough.
