Yeah it's going well. Just saving up event currency. Though I'm just a tad pissed off at the moment but I'll get over it.

Yes I know doing a week long mission trip will mean that I miss out on two hundred dollars. I know this. But I'm thirty four and have never been on a mission trip before and I finally have a chance and I'm made to feel bad about it.

You have the right to make choices that will make you feel happy and benefit you. ^_^;

I am going. I'm just going to save my money from now until the mission trip so I have money for bills when I come back. Oh and the whole week long trip costs twenty five dollars and that includes everything except one meal.

just ignore your mother, she obviously doens't understand what htis means to you and thinks she's trying to 'save' you from a bad choice or some such. if it makes YOU feel good, then do it.

I mean I know I have bills, but isn't a mission trip all about sacrifice?

and hey your planning ahead for the smallt rip so you can cover them when you get back.. so she has no right to say anything.

That is good. I might go to our "sister" church in the Carolinas but I don't know yet. :S I might consider it if I am able to go. If I go, I'll be happier. ^_^;

Well a church in a near by town goes into Detroit every summer for a week long mission trip. Hell it's not like I'm going for a month to South America or anything.

The IT guy has come and gone. An now I have WiFi again! bwhahaha and my sides hurt from laughing
