Cain smiled at the calming voice of Thomas, liking that he was the voice of reason among this group. Cain looked at her, "She is a resistance member.... She is a scientist... Which is not normally good for me..." he sighed, "Too many painful memories are associated with scientists..." he looked at her legs for a moment, knowing she had been sleeping in his arms for hours, he finally brought up something outside of the situation, "how are your legs Shinara?"

Logan sighed, "... I don't control the resistance.... if they ambush you.... You cannot blame me...." he said with a frown. Then he sighed, "I suppose you are right.... and i have the only comm here to the resistance headquarters.... I believe anyway.... Scientists are not normally issued communications devices due to the fact that they are expected to be in the lab.... Although its good that you are different Marissa..."

Logan stood silent, still close to Marissa the entire time. He felt more at ease with a member of his own group closer to him.

Marissa opened her eyes, and stopped humming. She smiled warily, and nodded her head.
"One of many reasons, why scientists go mental in that laboratory. Some of them seemed have lost all meaning of reality." She said with a smile.
She sighed, and waited for the rest of the group's reactions and their decision to move. She saw the woman schermz had woken. She nodded her head slightly at the woman. She figured the guy Cain, can explain their current situation better then her.

She adjusted her backpack a little, to get it a more comfortable position. She knew this would happen, scientists were considered to be the problem as they were the ones who caused this virus. She glanced at the sky again, seeing the plane up high before. She had a communication device, but she didn't bring one with her today.
"Don't blame me," she said to Thomas, "My world revolve around my work."
She paused, then added. "Only sometimes. I have other things to worry too."
She gave a wary smile.
"I'll go where ever you'll go," she said with a wary smile to Logan. She was sort of in no mood to go back to Headquarters.

Shinara looked up at Cain then glanced down at her legs. "I can walk don't worry about me. You must have been carrying me for a long time." She sounded more sure than she felt but she wanted to try anyways and hopped that her legs would hold up, at least they better. She thought of all the rest and thought that it should be enough time for her to heal realizing that the sun seemed to be getting rather low. Then looking over at the two Resistance member she felt slightly uneasy with one there let alone two, and a scientist none the less. "What are those two up to?" she asked Cain unsure of either of them still.

Hearing Logan's words he couldn't help but stop and turn around, thinking for a moment before he actually spoke. "I would have just said that you could control your tounge, but we both know that you can't do that either. Perhaps you might try that if you think about letting them in on our plans? I don't want to have to rip your tounge out for letting it wag too much." A blatant threat, perhaps, but it wasn't like he trusted Logan right now. "I might not trust you, but I respect you enough to understand why you'd call evac. Don't lose that respect, because you will live to regret it I assure you."

His gaze then turned to Marissa. "Yeah...I know how work can get you so involved, even if I'm not a scientist like you are. All the same, though, it appears you're not too keen on staying in the lab either." He gave a light shrug. "What you do is up to you, but I can guarantee your safety either way since going with Logan means you're going to a safe place anyway and with us three I'll make sure there's no skull-bashing unless it's someone trying to kill us, which I'm sure you'd appreciate seeing as how you're of a medical profession, not a combat specialist."

Leaving the two of them to decide then, he looked to Cain and Shinara, giving a nod. "I understand your feelings towards scientists and the Resistance, but if we can get them to co-operate with us then we have a far better chance of negotiating our way out of human fights than if I was alone - and since I'm not Resistance, I'd likely end up captured anyway even if I tried to save you two alone, which means you'd be stuck by yourselves again." Gently placing a hand on Cain's shoulder, he nodded. "I'm just thinking about what's best for everyone at the moment, we can't let grudges against the idiotic majority cloud basic common sense."

His eyes then looked back to the others to see what they decide, which hopefully they'll decide soon - the sun was starting to give the sky a soft orangey glow.

Logan almost angrily looked at him, "Are you done threatening me!? If I had the choice.... I would choose evac without hurting you guys!" he said as he covered his eyes, "Stop making Assumptions..." he groaned, turning to Marissa, he smiled at her as she mentioned that, he gave her a weak smile though, "I guess... I'll stick with you.... Just... please don't make that assumption again.... Alright..."

Cain allowed her to step on her own, keeping hold of her hand until he was sure she could walk on her own. Cain looked at the two, "I have no idea what the two are up to right now...." He said softly and sighed as he felt Thomas's hand on his shoulder, "Thank you Thomas... I'll keep that in mind.... But I will not hold back if the scientist attempts to collect samples from me.... and I won't hesitate to rip her in half if she attempts the same on Shinara as well.... I'm alright with observation though." he felt like an animal, subjected to these things. Studied, observed... such words were not in his desires.

Logan sighed, "Well... if we are going to go.... We've wasted more than enough time.... Nightfall is coming soon..." he nodded at Marissa, "Shall we go?" He quesitoned with a smile to her.

Marissa felt sorry for him by now, it must be hard to be a medic expert, while being in the resistance amongst resistance hater and a schermz. She raised her eyebrow at Cain's comment and nodded her head.
"I'll take that option," she said with a wary smile. Today was becoming more and more interesting for her, as well as getting rather strange. She had seen shadows growing larger as nightfall will come soon.
"We better get going." She murmured almost inaudibly. "I will not back any assumptions."
She turned her back to Cain and the rest of her group. She needed a minute by herself just to think. Having that minute she ran through the options and thought it would be interesting to follow Logan to see what he will do. Turning to face them again.

Shinara watched her feet as she steadied herself on them and obviously feeling a bit stiff after being off them so long and already having hurt legs when she got hurt. Once she steadied herself she looked up at Cain and gave him a huge smile, "Thanks for the lift," She laughed then continued, "I really appreciate the help, I'm really not this weak on my feet usually just since you met me I am." She laughed again noticing the irony of her greatest strength, usually, being her weakness since she had met Cain. Then glancing around at every one and seeing the tension she sighed at them with frustration. "Would you all just shut up and get along? Man, you would think I needed a baby sitter to get every one to get along while I recovered." She was now smiling at them all trying to lighten the mood the motioned to the sky, "Lets get moving I've got a pair of restless legs now and the light seems to be running out soon!" She pulled herself out of Cain's helping hand and ran slightly fast, but as slow as she could let herself go, "Come on wasn't it you who decided to come with us in the first place? So wheres this indecision coming from?" then glancing at the scientist, "I promise I won't bite." She said with an impish smile and a playful tone, then ran back over to Cain, this time with more speed as she wanted to stretch out her legs some. "Yup all better! Lets go!"

The words thrown back at him from Logan didn't ease his doubts but he could see that he was trying hard to not hate him or the words he spoke to him. Perhaps he had gained a bit more respect for admitting that he wouldn't see harm come to the group in Thomas' eyes, but there was still that air of distrust in him that made him uneasy around him. Still, if he planned to stay with the group that meant he could be observed and kept in line.

He then turned to Cain and grinned to the words he spoke to him as he left Shinara to land on her feet. "You know...I probably wouldn't hold you back anyway. In fact I'd likely join you and decapitate Logan in the process." He got distracted then as Shinara seemed to have recovered herself, her attitude and stamina seemingly recovered as she almost became like a 16 year old teen who was having the time of her life. "Heh...she's more youthful than I ever was." He commented softly, gazing to Cain for the moment he spoke. "You can tell she's back to normal."

Suddenly in a lighter mood from the perky attitude that she bounced around he couldn't help but join in. "You heard the lady, let's go!" His voice sounding cheerful as he called it out, he took off in pursuit of Shinara, though he noticed oddly that this was becoming a bit of a habit for the two of them (especially since this is the second time now he's chased her to someplace), something he couldn't help but laugh at. "Just remember not to push yourself, or we'll likely get left behind." He grinned to Shinara then. "I know you don't try do that to but being so chirpy you could end up bouncing off the walls to the factory blocks."

Finally, someone he could joke with again, something he missed from this place.

Logan laughed as he saw the two run, Cain following soon behind and shouting after them to slow down, considering his power was... power. "Ah... Those crazy kids...." he patted Marissa on the shoulder, "Come on.... Hopefully they won't drive us too crazy... I don't want to see them die.... Our orders are to keep humans alive at all costs anyway... Remember.... Law of the Resistance..."

Logan paused, seeing she had turned around, placing a hand on her shoulder, he questioned, "Something... on your mind...?"

Marissa heard Logan saying that he hoped that they won't drive them crazy, a chuckle escaped from her lips as she turned back to face the rest of the group.
"I remember the rules," she said with a slightly dry voice.
She didn't like it when people correcting her. She sighed and nodded.
"I'm fine," she said with a bright smile, "I just needed time to sort out some... stuff on my mind."
She smiled again, but this time it was slightly forced.
"Let's go, nee?" she said.

[OOC: Seems everyone's turning in for the night. I'll wait until Shinara and Flower posts again before I'll add any more to this, so I'll turn in for the night too.]

[[Well I'll be moving my stuff from my old room to my new one while I wait for you guys and probably while we rp, but I'm here ^,.,^ just be patient okies?]]

Shinara couldn't help but laugh as she kept letting herself go to fast for everyone else to keep up, but was pleased with herself for lightening the mood and being able to stretch out her legs in nice long leaps some times finding herself in need to run back to them knowing that she was by far the fastest in the group and the most rested seeing as how far Cain had carried her. This time she had ran on ahead a little farther thinking she had seen a factory and she was right. She ran back to them and gave another big grin, "We're almost there!" she told them with pride, then looking up at the sky, "Good thing too, looks like there's not much day left to waste." it had gotten to the point where you could see darkness on the opposite horizon and it warned of getting dark quickly. "Your all so slow!" She taunted as she slowed herself to their pace. She looked around at everyone glad to see they were at least no longer fighting and seemed to be in good spirits. And caught herself a few times giving nerviness and curious glances back at the resistance scientist, but not knowing her name because she wasn't awake when they had said it. She though that she would wait patiently because some one was bound to say it eventually. She pranced along side Cain. taking in the new area and wishing she could just sprint it but didn't want to lose every one.

Cain, who was naturally faster than Thomas due to his height in general, lost his energy sooner, panting and eventually getting to a slow walking, "Hey!..." he paused for a few moments, "Wait up...." he sighed and ignored it, instead walking the rest of the way, seeing the factory in the distance.

Logan sighed, seeing the smile was forced, she still had something on her mind, he was good at reading emotions. He allowed her to keep it to herself for a moment, returning her a weak smile, "Well.... if such is the case I am here to talk.... ok? Lets go..." He sighed and turned as he saw them running even further ahead. "Well... We need to catch up..." Logan, with his agile features quickly started off, but stopped to see if she could keep up.

Cain smiled as she slowed down, "You trying to give me a heart attack Shinara?" he questioned, turning toward the factory, he looked at the rusted pile of metal, sighing, "And this is our home? Doesn't have a homey feel to it.... I prefer the outdoors anyway.... Although that is now dangerous..." he sighed, "Looks like i have little choice..."

As the sprint continued, he could feel himself wearing down, gradually slowing into a walk as he continued along beside Cain who, surprisingly, had about as much in him as Thomas did. He didn't spare the time to puzzle over this though as he could feel the side of his chest aching from all the running, his one hand holding Grand Edge as the other embraced the bottom of his rib cage, the source of the pain that pestered him. He never was good at running at a distance, he figured, looking back to see the other two were following behind also. It seemed to be a nice little travelling party that was developing, all the more cheerful thanks to the very energetic Shinara as she bounced to the distance and then came back only to repeat - pretty much like Thomas thought she would.

Seeing that she had come back with news of a factory nearby, Thomas couldn't help but smile, especially as Cain commented upon the fact that he was exhausted too. "Hehe, suck it up Cain. If you're gonna be with her after this conflict you'll need to work on your stamina." He laughed at the joke but then fell into the trap of his own body, a sharp sting rushing up from his chest to quell the laughter into a grunt of pain, eyes shut tight as he felt it piercing him. "Damn it...didn't think this would hold me back now..." He looked forward again then, sighing. "Never mind. If we're almost there I can relax there before I start going on the move again." His gaze then turned to Cain and Shinara, expecting them to worry. "Usually passes over if given about twenty minutes."

Didn't help him now though as the pain started to throb viciously over his chest, cursing himself for letting his excitement take him this far. Giving a glance back he could see Logan and Marissa seemingly having their own conversation in the back. -Wonder what they'll be like when we get there...- He thought to himself, hoping that they could actually coexist with each other and the two Schmerz. All looking back did though was show how rare someone like Thomas was - neither Schmerz or Resistance but still looking to put an end to this war. An empty sigh passed his lips as he looked ahead once more, seeing the factory within a few minutes' walking distance now. It was a relief for him but Cain evidently disapproved.

"I know, Cain." He commented softly to him. "If you wanted a home, you'd have to travel where humans live these days - and even then it could never be home to you." He had almost reached out to pat his shoulder but then realised he had no free hands to do so and held back, grasping at his chest a little in frustration. "When you're stuck in a war, you have to make do with what you got. I just figured a factory would be the last place anyone'd look for a couple of strays, you know?" He then gave a passive shrug. "That, and the fact that any other option would lead up to some of us getting killed - if not all of us when branded as traitors on both sides." Another passive sigh. "I guess I should apologize to you and Shinara for that..."

He fell silent then, now the group being so close to the factory Shinara spotted.

as Cain asked his question, Shinara gave him a big impish grin and asked, "Yes! It's all part of my evil plot to take over the world!" She inserted some horribly fake manacle laughter then saw Thomas in pain. Her face quickly went very serious and worried for Thomas, "Are you sure you'll make it there ok?" Her eyes wandered back over to the factory and gave a small shrug. "It will due I guess, not my favorite kind of area but I've seen a lot worse before."

She looked at Thomas as he apologized to them then, unable to control herself, let out a small laugh. "Oh yea because being hated by those who already separate themselves from us is really a horrible thing for me. I'm just going to miss being beaten around like a toy." Her expression went dark for a moment but she caught herself and tried to lighten the mood again, "Besides your the one hurting because of my lack to control myself, I should be the one sorry." She watched him closely making sure he would be okay as they walked to the factory.

Cain took one glance back at Logan and Marissa, taking their time as he recovered from the run, not taking a lot of time to do that. He looked back to Thomas, thinking it was simply exhaustion, he waved it aside, not seeing it as a big deal. He looked up to it, "Lets just hope its not harbored to some resistance or Schmerz..." he exhaled greatly, "I doubt they would take refuge in such an... Unhealthy environment..." he paused, walking in closer as he knocked on the gate, the door looked sturdy, the lock rusted shut. Cain wasted no time in taking down the doors, a heavy punch as the door went flying of the hinges, he shook his hand, quickly removing the pain that came with the punch. "Well... Shall we go in?"

Logan took his time, staying close to Marissa.

He had a feeling Shinara would worry even before he heard her response, but to think that she'd still worry even after being told it'll pass...Thomas couldn't help but think that she had a great heart for people. For a moment he realised how easy it would probably be to fall in love with a female like her, even if she isn't completely human. Not that he saw her as anything but human considering how everything else about her was a typical young and vibrant female.

"You got nothing to apologize for, Shinara." Thomas managed to get out despite the ache pulsing on the base of his lungs. "I wanted to get here before nightfall anyway, so it's thanks to you that we've done that. So don't apologize - this pain will pass when I get a bit of rest." He then watched as Cain smashed apart the lock on the entrance, blinking. "You said I have the stength of 1000 men, but I wouldn't even dare to do that in my dreams." He winced at the thought of him doing what Cain did and evaluated that he would both have a broken wrist and the feeling that he looked like an idiot as he'd fail. "Besides, who'd leave a rusted up lock like that at the entrance if it was home to anyone?"

Thomas thought it was a fair comment and, taking the front once again, he looked around as he passed through the gate, noticing a couple of office blocks besides the main factory, seeing that all the power was off inside the seemingly abandoned factory. He blinked for a moment then as he looked up at the name of the factory, somewhat surprised that he was familiar with the name himself. His head tilted again, almost in disbelief, as the name seemed to echo in his mind, trying to recall what made it so familiar. He shrugged then as the name seemed to fail to connect to him at that moment in time, but he at least knew that he was only familiar with it because of seeing it back in UK stores...

"Oh well, I'll remember it eventually." Thomas whispered to himself.

Marissa gave a wary smile and nodded her head.
"Yeah, let's go." She said with a nod.
She ran and followed the fast disappearing group. There was still things on her mind, but she'll have to put it aside for the moment. She needed an outing to calm her nerves and block her memories. The wind in her face made her smile, she loved the feeling.

Shinara watched as Cain beat the door inward and looked at him knowing that even with their strength, that would still hurt a lot. "Lets see what we can do about this place!"as said as she walked in the door and looked around to see what was left of it. "It's not to horrible here, a little dusty and quiet, but not as bad as it could be!" she glanced back and saw others catching up. "And I thought you guys were slow!" she laughed teasingly at Cain and Thomas.

[[it's ok ^_^ I really don't know what might help you other than some Ice, that's how I lived through a fever but it was the middle of winter and my parents shoved me outside for a few hours XD. I didn't have anything warm on either but I felt so warm already that it didn't matter]]

Cain laughed at Shinara as she commented as they caught up, "We are only slow when your head is turned away.... Shinara..." he said, poking her nose as he walked in deeper. Cain sighed at the compliment, smiling a bit, but the smile wore off soon, "I never take pride in my strength... I take pride in other things..." he walked forward, being the second one to walk in behind Thomas. He looked among the steel walls, seeing that rust basically coated this entire area, "Its as if some kind of watering system malfunctioned until the supply ran out.... This place is covered in rust...." he said as he looked at the floor, seeing the rust on the floor as well and frowning, "The power is obviously out.... and unfortunately... I am not equipped with Night Vision as you asked earlier..." he said as he stepped deeper into the structure.

Logan stopped just before the factory, his eyes not too happy with the place as he looked upon it, "This is where they plan to take refuge....? Good god.... Its a dump..." he walked into the door, "But I suppose its better than nothing in this environment..." he stood at the door, leaning against one side of it on the inside, "Well... want to take a look? Its pretty massive.... And it looks like it has not been touched in years..."

Marissa arrived at the factory, and looked around. She whistled as the sheer size of the factory. She heard Logan's words, and smiled a little at his comment.
"It's better then nothing," she said with a smile.
She glanced around the factory's floor. Sure it looked dusty, but it was better that way.
"It is better this way, that way not many people would know there are people are here. Besides, I reckon if we only occupy one part of the factory, the others will think no one will be here at all." She stated.
She paused as Logan said something else. Then she nodded her head.
"Sure, let's go and check this place out," she replied.

Thomas couldn't help but sigh as he heard Cain talking about the rust and the general condition of the place. He had to admit now, this was far from his best of ideas, but he looked to the sky and blinked softly in hope as he spotted a full moon appearing over the horizon, on the trail of the sun it would've seemed to him. He did look around, hoping that there was some other place not as ruined as this one was that they could hold up in but with the dimming light he couldn't see very far, giving off a passive sigh as he looked to the office blocks that were nearby.

"It looks like we'll end up using those for the night then." Thomas commented, pointing to the biggest of the three he could see. "We can hope that there's something there that will give us some light but considering the condition of this place, I doubt we'll find much." He didn't have much to say about Shinara's comment about the other two, but gave a passive sigh as he looked back to Logan. "Any chance of finding out if this rust bucket has some power source or a backup generator? I'm unfamiliar with these things, so I wouldn't know the first place to look." He gives a passive shrug. "Dunno what makes me think you'd know more than I do but you've been around this country longer and I'm really grasping at straws here."

He saw what the other woman had to say then and sighed, realising that her logic did make a bit more sense. As he turned around though he dropped his head in his palm, thinking about how stupid his idea really was. Although he was expecting something a bit more recent, not so rusted up and a lot more white than he was seeing. He came to think then that this factory was older than two years, since no amount of rainfall could do this much damage even in five or ten years. Emptily sighing, he forgot about the ache in his chest, though it seemed dull enough now to barely ignore. That and the fact that his idea had quickly rusted his hopes along with the factory idea.

Wouldn't have thought he was one of the more eager people if anyone were to look at him now.

Shinara grabbed her nose and blushed a little bit and Cain had poked it and laughed quietly. she sighed at the factory and knew there was probably a better place to stay but every one needed to rest now it wasn't going to help to complain about it now. Then she looked over at Thomas, "Theres usually a supply room where they keep emergency items such as flash lights, but if you want to find that your going to have to find a map of this place." She looked around hopping to see one on the wall or on a desk some where, but couldn't find any thing. Then she noticed he seemed to relax himself, "You seem to feel better now, I'm glad." She gave him a small smile and continued studying the rusted factory.

Cain laughed as she blushed, he couldn't help, "My that was..." he placed a hand on his chin and released a quiet laugh. "Cute is the word I'm looking for...." he couldn't help but give her a quick hug, not thinking it would be a big deal considering the fact that she had spent quite some time sleeping in his arms.

Logan looked at Marissa, then Thomas, "Calm down... we have no idea what we are doing in here.... and as for the backup generator..." he walked over to the left of him, a small console to the left of him, he pulled a kit out of his back quickly, it was small and it looked unusual, but it looked effective, "Thank god for the military..." he said jokingly with a laugh as he pressed the mechanical device to the wall, and amazingly it stuck. He puled a few wires that seemed to escape the wall, they were plugged into various ports of the console, and amazingly the console started even though the rest of the plant was offline.

Logan began typing in various commands, a small map appearing as a few red dots appeared on it, "Bingo... Found the backup generators... One is functioning... Amazingly.... I'll see if I can't patch into it..." Logan continued to type in these commands, a massive interface appearing in front of him he rubbed his head, a small amount of sweat on it as he worked feverishly.

After about 20 minutes of typing and annoying groans coming out of Logan's mouth, the lights above them began to turn on, one by one, the whir of mechanics could be heard in the distance. "Well... Minimal functions are on... as for the supply room.... there is one within the lower level... Unfortunately the backup generator leading to the lower level is not functioning.... so unless we somehow route power from the working upper level generator directly into the second generator, there is absolutely no way we will be able to get through that rienforced steel..."

Cain pipped up shortly after, "Hmmm...." he thought for a moment, "You think I might take a crack at it?" Logan couldn't help but laugh, "Are you kidding me? We are talking about rienforced steel here.... You may have greater abilities than a human.... But that doesn't mean you can get through something that thick..." Cain sighed, "Well.... there is only one way to find out really..."
