Not a clue, Chunsa, ask Oto, she should be able to point you in the right direction.

Chu, the same thing has happened to me except that it happened to my mule account. I can't remember which account I used for the life of me. But I find it strange because my password was something really easy.

I suspect a hacker, in which case my Coco Kitty is in danger.

Otohime ;; I agree about the Famestar. Don't you just love how Gaia supports gambling? I mean, those random-item boxes and stuff. Come on now. Its hard to imagine people actually blowing a ton of irl money for a chance to get a rare, PIXELATED item. I can't really say anything, though, I have spent more than my own fair share of money on there. A year or two ago. D:

I miss when all Gaia asked of people was a mere $2.50 a month to keep the site running. ;w;
It seems like its reached the point where you need money to fully enjoy everything the site has to offer. It drives me insane when I log on, and I see an announcement. My first thought is "Hey, maybe its something really important!", but then I see its just more CS and Aquarium items. >_<

I don't mind some of the CS items, though. And some of the Evolving items are absolutely amazing. @w@

But they rarely ever update the gold shops anymore. And the items they release in them are so expensive, to where you're tempted to go and buy more Gaia Cash to be able to get them.

But sadly, no matter how many times I swear up and down I can't stand Gaia, I'll never be able to leave. I'm kinda addicted. ;w;

Okay, I'm done with my pointless rambling. xDDDD
Sorry to have bored you guys to death.

I migrated from Gaia to here, actually. xD

My username is the same there, too.

So far, I kinda like this site better, aside from being so poor. D':

Koneko Ki, I've merged your thread with our official Gaia topic. All discussions of other avatar websites should take place in this subforum.

I think you'll find that plenty of us are members of Gaia as well.

I haven't tried the famestar item yet, but did the egg thing a while back. THAT was painfully addictive, which is why I am avoiding the famestar items. I figure that if I like something that's only available through famestar, I'll quest for it later. I have 2 accounts there in addition to a third that I share with my daughter.

Back in January, Gaia made a mistake and sold their null fragments for 2gold instead of cash, so I bought a bunch. Then they realized there was a mistake, and they took the null fragments away. I wasn't happy, but what could I do. They sent me a mail on January 27th saying that they were taking them out of my inventory, which they did.

Then on February 27th, they sent the exact same mail note. I figured it was just a mistake. But then they took ALL my null fragments away. These I had earned through the zOMG game - I had never gone back to the shop to purchase anything, so it's obviously a mistake. I replied to the mail, asking that they rectify the mistake, but have gotten no answer.

I've been trying to figure out who I could contact to fix it. There's no obvious place in the zOMG forum. I've posted a few threads, but haven't gotten any real responses. Any ideas?

Sorry for bringing this here, but I thought maybe one of you guys could tell me what to do. You all are so much more helpful here than they seem to be on Gaia.

I think PMing Qixter would be your best bet at this point. I doubt you'll hear much by e-mailing them...

I actually tried that, but Qixter doesn't accept PM's from anybody but his friends. It wouldn't take the PM.

Qixter is a developer... I guess he must have been getting too many complaints like mine.

They always say things like "post to the Moderator's list at the top of the forum", but I can never find anything that looks like it would be a moderator's list

When I PMed someone ages ago about getting an account unfrozen, the PM went through but was deleted without being opened. (I asked them to freeze it since my account security was breached, but it took them too long so I lost everything. =/)

I know it was never read since I checked everyday to see if the PM ever moved from my outbox to my sent box, but one day it was just deleted. I'm sure they have to deal with a ridiculous amount of claims, but it's still pretty frustrating to have such a difficult time contacting someone.

There is a small link at the top of every form that says "View Forum Moderators". Unfortunately, most of us have our 'online' display turned off. Just PM any of them.

Thanks, Alyx.

I found the "View Forum Moderators" list.

I've sent a note to Kilarra (just picked a moderator at random). I'll see what happens. I don't want to mass send it to the entire moderator list...that would be too obnoxious.

Again... thanks for the feedback. Folks are so nice here.
I'll report back if anything happens.

I haven't liked gaia since 2005. It lost its soul! D:
Gaia was soooo fun in 2003. Totally miss those days and the closeness I shared with all the mods and admins. I really felt like it was my online home... And than all the hackers, scammers and spammers RUINED it for meh.

At least we've managed to hit two years without going to hell, but then we've always enforced our rules and kept the place tidy :)

Hungry, lol. Hungry and watching a cooking programme because there's nothing but that or kids/educational stuff on at this time of the morning =_=

I really so wonder how differently Gaia would have turned out if they'd had better/more staff from the get go, and not let spam had such a free reign. They wouldn't be as massive as they are now, but they might not have been forced to sell-out through lack of income either.

Maybe one day Mene will make enough money to be able to headhunt someone like Fleep :ninja: The guy could do with a break from constant complaints from thousands of ungrateful brats.

Kilarra is awesome; she will surely help you or at least be able to direct you to someone who can. Also, I would fill out a Feedback form explaining the entire situation. Screenies of the E-mails are always helpful to them. It sounds like someone forgot to log that the items were already taken from you. Here is the link to the form: Feedback Form

There must be some sort of mod to user ratio or formula that needs to be hit. D=

I swear Gaia wasn't bad until they started offering those cash cards at Target. That whole wave of new users + bought gold just K.O.d both forum and avatar fun.

I mean, things are never going to be the same as when a site starts out, but you know ...

I play Gaia as well as Mene. I'm leaning toward staying here. My name is Mr August Rush. The only reason I would stay on Gaia rather than here is because I like the fast replies for threads, we get a little slower here which I can deal with. ^^

Not all of their staff are horrid. That's a massive place to deal with, staff wise. ._. I do know that every time I reported a rule violation I always got a personal thank you from whoever handled it. Even if the thank you was a few days later. I also know a few moderators who are absolutely wonderful. They definitely need more staff, though. However, finding people must be like looking for a needle in a haystack. >.o
