D8 I don't know what I should spend the pies on since I know I won't get enough pies to both buy the event items and the commons I'd like to have ; ^ ; I like hoarding things and I'm not on the site often.

I'd say try for the event rares, and buy your commons with whatever you have left over, but only after seeing you don't have enough to get another rare.

Think about it, although they're discounted now, the commons will always be there. The rares however will go away, and will only go up in value, especially because there is not only costume play potential, but naughty/goofy avatar potential.
