Tsuki looked down at the baby faerie that was cradled in Eric's arms. She had a deep gash in her stomach, the doing of the Millenium Hunters Society. That was something she knew to well.

"There isn't a hospital around here for about 5 miles. By that time we would get there with the baby, she will be dead. My house is on the other side of the city, so we cannot go there." She said, in a truthful and straightforward tone. "Maybe you know someone nearby?" She asked, her tone unchanging.

"yes" said eric, "i know a house i doubt they'll be too thrillled to see me though" considering i just tried to kill them he added in his mind.

the baby was unconscious but she insticntively shifted closer to Eric's warmth.

Tsuki looked away, and then shifted her eyes back on Eric. "It is the only logical place to go, since all the shops are closed right now." She said as if she knew something went on between Eric and the family.

Without another word Eric turned and began to lead the way back to the house. He knocked on the door wondering what the heck he was supposed to say when they opened it.

Tsuki followed silently behind.When they reached the house, she took off her coat and handed it to Eric to wrap the nearly-dead faerie in while they were waiting for the door to be answered. "She needs it more than I do."

Rose perked up."Daddy,person at door!"

Adrian opened the door,

"please we need your help" Eric said.

Adrian gaped at him, "you..."

Tsuki looked at Adrian. "Don't be alarmed, and please do not attack him. He found a baby faerie, both of her parents were killed by hunters. She nearly was killed herself." She said, her voice shaking with anger as her hands started to ball up. "I was walking not to far from here when he asked me for help himself. From the look on his face, I could tell that he wasn't acting when he found her." She was still digging into her hands with her nails. "Please....please help save this child!"

Rose looked at her mother. "Mommy, hunters?"

Lily looked at Adrian, sympathy in her eyes at the newborn faerie."Adrian..."

Eric did not know what to make of Tsuki and her mood swings, does she have bipolar disorder or something? he wondered vaguely.

"um..uh... yes come in" Adrian tried to regain his composure, though he watched Eric warily as he came in the door.

Violet watched the proceedings with wide, solemn eyes, her thumb in her mouth.

Eric shook off his thoughts as he walked in the door, it hardly mattered at the moment. He didn't care if the girl was the reincarnation of Hitler as long as the baby got taken care of.

Tsuki walked into the strangers home. She had no idea who they were, and why Eric would want to kill them. But that didn't matter at the moment to her. 'This child doesn't deserve to die at the hands of those vile hunters! They would be joyed at the thought of a supernatural not being alive in this world! If I find out who they are...I swear I will....'

Her thoughts diminished, and her anger flared at the thought of this child, if she survives, to experience loneliness and the pain of losing her entire family.

Like her.

Tsuki's icy-blue eyes slowly started to turn into a navy-blue. She had to dismiss the thoughts before her powers would unleash itself, and lash out at the nearest person to her.

Rose looked at Tsuki's eyes. "Mommy, blue." She said as she walked over to Tsuki, and gently tugged on Tsuki's pants leg, as to tell her she understands. "It ok. She be fine." Rose smiled, her eyes lit up at the thought of a friend to play with.

Lily looked over at Tsuki. "Are you ok?" Lily walked over to Tsuki, and gently set her hand down on Tsuki's shoulder.

Tsuki's eyes slowly went back to their original color."Yes, I'm fine." She said, her voice soft as she walked over to Eric, Adrian, and the baby faerie.

Violet frowned, looking at the baby, "mommy, she need bandaid"

Adrian retrieved first aid supplies frm the bathroom.

Eric gently lay the baby on the table. Tucking a pillow from the counch under her head, tenderly.

Violet looked up at Eric, confused, "so are you a good guy or a bad guy?"

Eric stared at the little girl, having no idea how to answer her question.

Tsuki examined the almost-lifeless body of the baby faerie. "She has a severe laceration in her abdomen. From the look of the size of the wound, the assault weapon was a Fairbairn-Sykes dagger from World War 2." She slowly sat down by the baby. "She also has hematoma around her right upper bicep. Presumably from one of the hunters trying to take her. Most likely, her mother snatched her from him, causing the hunter to try to keep his grasp." Tsuki said as she pulled her bag around, and started to dig through it.

"um... how old are you?" Adrian asked her, wondering how on earth a teenager knew all this.

Violet was still looking at Eric, not sure whether to be frightened or not.

Eric met her eyes, "i won't hurt you" he said softly bowing his head.

"I am 16." Tsuki said, still rummaging through her bag for something. She accidentally pricked her finger on her hidden knife. Tsuki barely flinched at it.'I might need to keep that for later use.' She continued moving her hand around, until she pulled out some bandages.

Eric gently cleaned the blood off the baby with warm water, softly singing a lullaby to her as he worked, "/ Just close your eyes / The sun is going down / You'll be alright / No one can hurt you now / Come morning light / You and I'll be safe and sound ..sound.."

Violet was still watching Eric with the baby, her head tilted to the side. He was a nice man she decided, although she still wondered why he'd tried to kill her.

Tsuki looked down at the baby faerie, sadness barely showing in her eyes. She put the bandage back in her bag. Despite how much she wanted to go after the hunters, she had a feeling that she should save this child. To let her die like that, Tsuki wouldn't be able to control herself. 'If I get my hands around those vile...THINGS! I swear I will tear them to a million pieces!' She thought to herself and started to shake with anger."Hey,hunter, promise me...that you will take care of this baby. Give her the love and care that she needs. Give her a family, give her a LIFE." Tsuki said as she started her hands started to give off a purple manifestation of her power surrounding them. (())

Rose stared starry-eyed at the manifested power. "Pretty!"

Eric blinked at her in shock, "um...yes ma'am" He looked at the purple aura around her, wondering what on earth the girl was.

Violet nodded in agrrement with her little sister, "very pretty!"

Adrian just stared at Tsuki, not saying a word.

Tsuki set her hands down on the baby faerie's wound in her abdomen, the power starting to glow like a flame. She poured the power into the wound, healing it with each passing of the power poured in. Tsuki flinched, the more she used it to heal the baby, the more it would harm Tsuki herself.

Eric noticed her flinching, "um, are you okay?"

Tsuki looked up at Eric. "I am fine." She said as she flinched once again, and then the power slowly dimmed down."It is done, she will be fine." Tsuki's powers disappeared into thin air as she dismissed them.

Rose looked down at the baby faerie's stomach. "Whoa..."

"I think she said it best" Eric muttered, staring.

Just then the baby woke up, looking around, confused, "Mama? Dada?"

Eric pressed his hand to his mouth, staring at the baby, feeling like his heart was breaking for her.

Tsuki looked away from the baby faerie.'It seems...she remembers the hunt.' She thought, pained at the thought. "My work is here is done." Tsuki said as she slowly stood up, and suddenly stumbled, but kept her balance by leaning her hand on the couch arm.

Lily, looked at the baby faerie, shocked at what she said. She wanted to cry.

"Mama? Dada?" The baby repeated again, sounding a little bit upset now.

Eric swallowed hard, "how on earth do i tell a one year old that her parents are dead" he whispered, "thta they're gone forever? especially when less then an hour ago i might have been the one to kill them"

Adrian picked up his younger daughter.

Tsuki picked up her rain-soaked leather coat, her bag, and her umbrella. She looked back at Eric, and the family, and then she walked towards the front door. Tsuki opened it up, and was about to step outside.

Rose slowly fell asleep in her father's arms.

"hey" said Eric, "do you have anywehre to go?" he walked over to the baby and picked her up. He noticed a har lump in the pocket of her little shirt. He took out a little heart shaped locket with the name Avelina engraved on it in beautiful script. Inside was a pictureof the baby with her parents.

Tsuki stepped outside. "I do." She looked around at the rain-soaked trees, buildings, and roads.
