Gemini yawned."Probably not for a couple days.We will need to be prepared for anything.It could end up being a long journey." She said,making a mental list of things she would need to sort out before she left."I'll ask Sir Lance to keep an eye on the treehouse,and we'll need supplies..."

" I will see if I can get my blade sharpened as well." Mew said knowing it was full now, he was in thought and slowly stated to drift asleep. He had a dream that they were being chased by something and she got caught up in a trap. He had tried to get her out but failed. He turned and ran at the monster to fight it. But light struck his fission and he work up. Seeing here will laying here he thought. 'A dream? Or did I just have a vision?' He asked himself.

Gemini slept dreamlessly for a while,until she sensed Mew awaken.She yawned and opened her eyes,looking up at him.Watching him silently for a moment,she waited to see if he noticed her waking.He seemed off in thought."Mew? Rabbit for your thoughts?" She asked.

Mew sat there quietly as he felt her move some. "Huh? " he asked as he looked down at her, he didn't want to worry her, so he figured to stay quiet about it. "Just a dream" he said making a smile appear on his face. 'I hope it was a dream' he thought to himself, it bothered him that was for sure, a scared and shocked loomed still filled his features. "Sorry if I woke you" he said softly, he couldn't keep his eyes off her, he would keep her safe.

Gemini frowned."Mew,please be honest with me.I can see the shock on your face,and even if I couldn't,I can smell it on you.Of course,I won't force you to tell me if you don't want to." She said,realizing that she was being pushy.She only wanted to comfort him.

Mew looked down, more toward the ground than her. "You were in a cage with this thing getting closer, I couldn't get you out so I rush head first into it, and woke up." he said changing his gaze to her. "Not sure what this means, but made me worry, I am sorry." he said forgetting her nose was good and sniffing things that he couldn't, like his fear. "Some thing doesn't seem right.." he said looking around some, "Can you seance anything besides me?" He asked her curiously.

Gemini listened to his dream intently.When he finished,she thought for a moment."I understand why this would upset you.My nightmare...I have a fear that parts of it may come to pass.It could be that we are both forseeing the same chain of events." She mused.When he asked if she could sense anything besides him,she went completely still and closed her eyes.One could see her nose twitching slightly,an indication that she was sniffing out any abnormalities.She was also listening with all her might.After a long moment,she opened her eyes."I can sense something,just a fleeting feeling.As if whatever it is,is skirting the very edges of my awareness.If it would only come a bit closer,I could identify it..." She said.

"keep an ear open" Mew said as he looked toward the window a bit. "Things are just not making any seance.. Why would the mutants or anything at that matter, want to hunt us down?" He asked more to himself than to her but is she answered than it may make a bit more seance as well. He knew that he would be safe from danger as long as she was around, and he wasn't going to leave her side anytime soon. "thanks Gemini" he said softly as he looked down at her, he didn't know what his life would have been like if she didn't save him. He sighed taking that out of his mind.

Gemini nodded."I will." She said,her attention divided between listening to him and listening for trouble."I don't know why they would be hunting us.Unless you have some enemies from home? I do not know anyone beyond the village...my reputation as the forest protector has spread,but I can't imagine why anyone would want to hunt me down for it.Perhaps both of us combined...?" she mused.It was too convenient to be a coincidence that all these mutants would suddenly appear just as she and Mew met.

"Enemies?" Mew said thinking for a few moments and it hit him. "Lukus.." he said softly as he looked down at her. His brother wasn't as noble as he was and when mew killed the king, their father, Luke would want him dead. "My brother probably made a deal with them to hunt me down" he said softly. "They know where I am Gemini.. this village isn't safe anymore." He said looking a bit sad. He had put this place in parel, and they had to get out soon. "I am sorry.." he said softly, he figured finding her parents would be hard, but fighting an army of mutants would make things worse.

Gemini looked up at Mew."Your brother...? I did not know you had one.Why would your own brother want you dead?" She asked,confused.She couldn't imagine why family would try to kill family.Then again,she didn't know much about family.She sighed,looking sad."Well,I knew I would have to leave to find my parents,anyway.I had worried that leaving would put the village in danger,but it turns out it would be safer for them if we go." She said,with an attempt to sound cheerful.It failed.She never even gave a thought to staying while he left.She would not do that.

"Yes, I have a brother.. and after I killed the king, our father he would be furious with me." Mew thought he had explained the stirrup to her but he could have forgotten that part from the beginning. "He would do anything to become the king, but he wouldn't kill him. I ended up doing that witch gave him all the power he was wanting." He said hearing in her voice that she really didn't want to leave. "You can stay if you wish Gemini..." he said softly not wanting her to but knew how much this place meant to her.

Gemini sat up."You told me you killed the king,but you said you were his right hand man.You never mentioned he was your father,or that you had a brother." She said.He mentioned her staying,and she shook her head,rejecting the idea immediately."No.I will not stay here,not while you are in danger.My village survived before I was it's protector,and it will be fine now.Anyway,you promised not to leave me.So if you have to leave,then I'm going with you.Besides," She went on before he could object,"What would happen if you left me here? They know we are together.They must know that you would not wish me harmed.If we separate,they will still come after me and my village,effectively harming someone you care for,which would put you right into their hands." She finished pointedly,arms crossed as if daring him to contradict her truth.

Mew looked at her, her words settling in. She was right and he knew it, but he had said it anyway. "You have a valid point, and I wouldn't leave you.. I just had to see if you really didn't care being hunted down alongside me." He said with a sigh. "I apologize that I lied to you. I had to say what I said before to protect myself. I didn't think it was a safe idea to just flaunt around saying I was a prince." He said looking at her, sadness showing in his eyes. He really didn't want her hurt but he kinda put her in danger no matter what he decided. "I don't want you hurt anyway you look at it Gemini.." he added softly hopping she would understand.

Gemini reached up and hugged Mew."I understand completely.In your position,I would have done the same thing.I wouldn't want anyone knowing such a big secret.I'm just glad you trusted me enough to tell me now." She said.Anyway,there is danger everywhere.That's part of being alive.Even if we had never met,I would have to be in danger eventually.So there is no use worrying about it.We will be fine,as long as we stick together." She added.

Mew looked at her, catching her gaze. He could actually believe what she was telling him. "We can do this" he said softly making a smile on his face. "I would still rather fight with you than without you Gemini" he said looking more towards the ground. "I feel like there is something between us, that has locked we more less need to travel together, because alone we might not get far." he said not sure if it made any sence to her or not but it was quite an odd feeling for him. First time in a long time he felt this way.

Gemini nodded."I feel the same way.We were brought together for a reason,and somehow,now,we can't be separated.Mew,I'm with you all the way,no matter what.That is a promise." She said.Gemini's promises were sacred to her.If she made one,she would keep it or die trying."Now,we should start getting prepared.We probably do not have much time before the next attack,and I want to be far away from my village and the wolves before it happens." She added,standing up.They would need to go to the village for supplies,and she had to visit the wolves to inform them of what was happening.

Mew got to his feet as well, he had a smile on his face and he nodded. "Sounds like a good plan to me, I just want to see if Sir Lance could sharpen my blade." He said looking down and grabbing it from beside the wall. "I am going to miss this little place." he said as he looked around again, it was the closest place that he had felt safe at, with her. "I have some gold for our travel, but after a while we may run out.." he informed her as he waited for her to get ready, he was just watching her and still couldn't take his eyes off her.

Gemini picked up a deerskin backpack,clearly homemade,and started putting things in it.She didn't have much,but her few items of clothing went in,along with a turquoise comb and some dried meat.She had a water bladder as well."Lance can sharpen any blade to perfection.The sword that I carry,he made for me for my 13th birthday.It is magical and responds only to me,and has a blade so sharp that you almost cannot see the edge." She said proudly,ready to go.She looked around her treehouse with a smile."I will miss it as well,but we will be back.Lance will keep it tidy while we're away.I already look forward to our return." She said,clearly confident that they would be back.

"A sharp blade is all I ask" mew said standing up as well. He didn't have anything that he couldn't carry, he looked at her blade in awe. "That is a nice one, this was the first one my father gave me, kinda wish I have a better one now" he added looking at he as she talked about returning. "You well see this place again" he added with a smile. He honestly couldn't believe that far in the future, he didn't believe in himself that much. Time would pass and all he could do is just fight to stay by her side.

Gemini nodded."Lance can fix up your blade good as new,and make it last for years to come.He's the best there is.And he won't even charge you,except to ask about the princess he was in love with.Come to think of it," She looked up at Mew,ready to go,"Wouldn't that same princess be related to you? If Sir Lance was from a neighboring kingdom,and he was in love with the princess of your kingdom?"

New looked around and back to Gemini " that would be nice" he said thinking back to the princess comment. "She left the kingdom to go to the delree castle a while back before I left, she may still be there" he said with a confused look. "I knew she was in love with a knight but I didn't realize that was lance." He said, she was a quiet girl but spoke a lot to him. He hopped out of the tree and waited. "You think we can try and find her too, for sir lance?" He asked softly not sure if she would be will to or not.

Gemini visibly perked up at his words."Oh,Mew,could we? Lance would be so happy! I definitely want to try.After all that Sir Lance has done for me,it is the least I can do for him." She said,happy tears in her eyes.She lifted her pack over her shoulder,ready to go.

The kingdom the princess went to was one that mew despised, his brother had sent here there and that's the thing he didn't like about it. He never trusted his brother, he was big into dark magic and fought a lot. They got to where sir lance would be and he waited for her
