Well, we can think of what brought us here.

I came here today because I googled for games similar to Gaia Online while trying to search how to make a game similar to it, and found a Question/Answer post on Yahoo's Ask thing, which the person answering posted a long list of avatar community sites. I browsed through all of them, and found this one most appealing to me.

On-topic:
I know for other games that I don't go on often, both client-based MMOs and browser-based avatar games, I would most often be persuaded by promos or events for free/discount new items. Not so much for real cash buy-able things, unless it were really amazing.
