It is a bit sour at times, but lol, I tend to enjoy being alone. Since I do not need to ask other people's opinion on things I do or to spend extra effort to 'tolerate' other people. :< *ultra selfish*

And I understand about the hermit thing. Lucky for me my mom feels the same way, and we get along well enough that we can kind of be hermits together.

There are a few places I got sloppy... And I've been considering changing the color, just for kicks. But overall, I'd be pretty happy with Steel's owl as a tattoo if I weren't terrified of needles.

and still being terrified of needles and pain the beauty would not be tattooed on me

I don't mind pain that much, actually... it's just I'm utterly creeped out by things poking through my skin. That's why scorpions freak me out, too.

Well... that and the fact that they move like weird little alien beings that should not exist.

The ones around here aren't very poisonous. I'm told they don't hurt any worse than a bee sting. I'm pretty amazed I don't know first hand, considering they get into the house all summer and I hate shoes and prefer to go barefoot when at all possible.

... Heck, for that matter, I'm pretty amazed I've never been bitten or stung by anything while walking around barefoot. I've stepped on snakes on a couple of occasions, and they just slither away. I didn't step with my full weight, of course. The cold smooth thing under my foot when I'm expecting grass is a pretty big hint not to stomp down. I did sit on a bee once... and when I briefly worked in a pet store a snake bit me, but that wasn't really a big deal. It was a tiny snake, and I hadn't done anything wrong-- the owner/manager just neglected to tell anyone that the snake had been returned for being extremely aggressive.
