Drabble 81: #3 First Flower
Character: Avani, Safara and Keb
Pairing: Nah
Location: Angelus (the city they live in! xD)

Being an earthbender rocked, Avani concluded on day. She could do many things with earth. Today however was slightly different from her usual playing with mud and dirt. Today she was going to try flower growing. Avani grinned. This was so much fun!

Avani took a deep breath and focus. She felt the power grow and flow through her body. She forced the power into the ground, feeling it spread and reach a dormant seed.

To her amazement the flower grew, blooming and revealing it's petals. Avani quickly called her father and aunty's attention. "Daddy, Aunty! Look I made my first flower bloom!"

Drabble 82: #46 Color
Character: Kisei
Pairing: Maybe...
Location: I'm sleepy ask me tomorrow.

They say the world is a colorful place. Kisei, begs to differ. The world as simple as it was only three shades of color: Black, White and Gray areas in between. Of course each shade had it's own characteristic and no everyone who fell into the shade Black was "evil" so to say.

Kisei himself likes to think he merely falls in the color Gray. He also knows that with her pure and innocent nature, Aira most likely falls into white while Ambrose is more like him and falls into the shade of gray. Reality of it though, is that Kisei doesn't feel like he belongs to the color gray and subconsciously things he betters fit the color black. He crushed Aira's frail childhood, took away her family and let her to fend for herself. He really belonged to the color black... but every time he thinks that Aira comes along and changes his opinion.

Apparently she has a bigger influence on Kisei then he thought. Aira, who still hasn't made the connection of who he is, smiles and just forgives him for whatever silly mistakes he has made. Kisei often wondered if she would change her mind should she ever find out.

Kisei takes back his original statement. The world is indeed a colorful place. He just wish it was as simple as black and white.

Drabble 83: #27 Dog
Characters: Kyatto and Byakko
Pairing: *shrugs*
Location: Lalala

It surprised Byakko the first time he found out that Kyatto loved dogs. It puzzled him since Kyatto was a Cat Spiritus it was strange of her to like dogs. It got even weirder, dogs like her. Weren't dogs supposed to chase cats? It didn't make sense.

"Oooo Byakko! Look puppies!" exclaimed Kyatto as she dragged Byakko off to the pet store.

Byakko shook his head. He'll never understand dogs and cats.

Drabble 84: #70 Late
Characters: Aira and Ambrose
Pairing: *blinks*
Location: Ame Town

Morning sunlight pour into the room, falling on Aira's sleeping form. She groaned a bit, annoyed by the sun that was pouring in. She rolled over in her bed and groggily looked at the clock.

Aira sat up rapidly in shock. "Shit. Ambrose! We're late!"

She got out of bed and quickly ran around the room trying to get dressed and grab her things. Ambrose stirred slightly before mumbling, "Five more minutes Aira."

Aira shook him. "No! Not five more minutes! We're late!"

Ambrose moaned and fell back asleep. Aira twitched and snapped open her fan. -wham- Ambrose went flying into the hotel wall. "Damnit Aira, what was that for?" Ambrose shouted, sleep leaving him. He rubbed his head where it had hit the wall.

"WE'RE LATE!!" Aira shouted at him.

Ambrose's eyes widen. "What! Why didn't you get me up earlier?" He got up and began to grab his things.

"I tried!"

The two scrambled around running back and forth trying to get packed. "Oh we should have packed last night," Aira mumbled to herself. She zipped up her bag and tossed it towards the door before dumping the bed sheets on the bed.

"Hurry up Aira. We're late remember!" called out Ambrose. He was heading out the door to check out at the front desk.

"I'm coming!"

Five minutes later they out the hotel door and heading towards the doctor. "What are the chances we won't be late and actually make it on time before ferry leaves?" asked Aira.

"Slim to none," answered Ambrose.

In the port ahead, the ferry's whistle rang through the air. Ambrose and Aira's eyes widen in shock and realization. "Ah! The ferry is gonna leave soon! We're late!" they cried.

Drabble 85: #71
Characters: Aira, Ambrose, Kisei, Kyatto, Byakko, Ravi and Aysel
Parings: Mostly likely
Location: Fork in the road

Life is like a stage. A big grand stage where everyone is meant to perform to their best abilities. The curtain will rise and fall between each act. Of course there will be mistakes. One cannot expect that performance of life will be completely smooth. Someone will forget their lines or the curtain will fall too early or too late.

The curtain raised too early for Kisei. His mistake however lead to the brilliant gleam of another. Aira's life is unique in so many ways, however the curtain will close on her far sooner then Ambrose will hope. For now Ambrose's curtain rises and falls in normal pattern. Ironically how Ambrose is the one who attracts the most attention, is actually the most normal of them all.

Kyatto and Byakko's curtain rose like normal people but their journey has been long and hard. It will be difficult but hopefully their curtain will not closed on them so soon.

For Ravi and Aysel, their lives were bittersweet. A tragic mistake in their acts, forever changed everything and something that was suppose to ending happily ever after, will end in sadness.

Life is a grand stage. All we can do is act out roles out until the curtain closes.

Drabble 86: #68 Mess
Characters: Aira and Ambrose
Pairing: Hn
Location: Sleepy sleepy
Special Note: This is the semi-sequel to... ummm drabble ___ (the scribbling one!)

It turned out that markers weren't so washable. Aira and Ambrose were given two buckets of paint and told to cover it up or be faced with a bill neither of them could pay. So here they were, painting the room with a fresh coat of blue.

"This is your fault Aira," Ambrose grumbled.

Aira glared at him. "You didn't have to join in on the scribbling. And the markers said they were washable. They're suppose to come off the walls."

"This mess is still your fault."

"Stubborn bastard."

"I know."

"You know what your problem is?" Aira said turning around to face Ambrose. She didn't noticed that by doing that she had splattered paint on Ambrose from her paint brush. Aira paused, her train of thoughts broken as Ambrosed twitched.

Being the child at heart that he is, Ambrose did the sensible thing. He flung paint back at Aira. "Ambrose! You idiot. You're making a mess!" shouted Aira. This time she just painted his face. Ambrose growled before letting out another spray of paint towards Aira.

Thus began the paint war.

Two hours later the hotel manager opened the door to the room. He hoped that those two managed to cover up all those scribbles. What he found though was a war room. "What is this mess?" he demanded!

Aira and Ambrose, both of who had finally ran out of paint, looked at him. "What mess," they asked as innocently as possible. A vein nearly burst in the manager.

"THAT MESS!" he exclaimed point to the room. Everything was covered in blue paint. The beds, the windows, the carpet was stained. "Ehehe," said Aira.

"We'll clean the mess up right away, sire," offered Ambrose.

"You better!"

The manager stormed out of the room. "See Aira, this mess was all your fault," blamed Ambrose.

Aira glared at him and threw the remaining paint she had left at his face. "Then clean up the mess by yourself!"

Drabble 87: #81 Confetti
Characters: Aira and Ambrose
Pairing: I don't think so...
Location: a festival

A festival is a place of fun and laughter. People gather under the falling confetti and streamers the litter the ground. They share jokes and be merry with their friends and family. Children dart around, playing games and winning prizes. Scrumptious food and treats are sold like hotcakes.

But not all festivals are fun and safe and lurking among the crowd are thieves and gang members. One particular thief thought he had struck gold when the managed to steal a wallet. He didn't expect them to chase after him though.

"There he is!"

Raniez the thief turned around in shock. Those idiots he had just swiped the wallet from, were still chasing him. Didn't they know when to give up? Raniez darted down an alleyway hoping to lose them in the crowd again. He nearly slipped on a pile of confetti.

"Hey hotshot, give me back my wallet."

Raniez looked up just in time to see a guy with silver hair drop from the sky to hit him on the face. Raniez nearly slipped again on the blasted confetti. “Man give up will you?” Raniez shouted as he ran away.

“Ambrose you idiot, you’re letting him get away!”

“Oh be quiet Aira. I didn’t see you doing anything.”

“You’re the idiot who let him steal it in the first place!”

Aira and Ambrose chased after Raniez. Confetti fluttered down from the streets below, hindering Raniez’s escape. Aira and Ambrose quickly caught up again. This time, Aira’s fans snapped open. She swung them, a giant breeze flew out, glittering and sparkling towards Raniez.

The thief slipped and fell, hitting his head and falling unconscious. As Ambrose retrieved his wallet he asked, “What did you hit him with Aira?”

Aira smiled. “A wave of confetti.” Ah, it was raining confetti outside.

Drabble 88: #93 Coffee
Characters: Ambrose
Pairing: Nah
Location: A chase around town

The day would not start for Ambrose without a cup of coffee. Every morning he would wake up to go down to the local coffee shop to buy himself a cup before Aira and him left to continue traveling. Aira learned the hard way that if she didn't let Ambrose have his cup of coffee, that he would be even -more- cranky then usual. Aira decided it was much better to just let him have his coffee and the day would go along so much smoother.

Which brought us to Ambrose's current problem. He was in a town where there was a coffee shortage. Ambrose was currently standing in a long time. Only a certain amount of coffee could be released every day so that meant everyone was camping outside the coffee shop waiting and hoping to be the first to get a good cup of warm coffee.

Finally it was his turn. "I'll have one --"

He was cut off as Kisei slide in front of him. "One cup, black to go."

The lady handed Kisei the cup and then shouted. "That's it for the day. Come back tomorrow!"

Ambrose twitched. "KISEI! That was suppose to be my cup!"

Kisei smiled back at him. "Hmm... Sorry."

Ambrose lunged forward in an attempt to grab the cup. Kisei skillfully evaded the attack. "You're have to catch me before I drink it all!" Ambrosed chased after Kisei.

The two jumped over walls and ran across fences. All over town the chase continued as Kisei taunted Ambrose and Ambrose growing angrier and angrier. Finally Ambrose managed to tackle Kisei and to the two's horror the cup of coffee went flying, landing on the ground with a -thud- the delicious dark liquid spilling to the ground.

"Kisei! Look what you did!"

"What I did? You're the one who tackled me and knocked the cup out of my hands."

The two continued to argue back and forth until Aira showed up. "There you two are," she said. "I've been looking all over for you. I have your cups of coffee ready."

Kisei and Ambrose stared at her. "How..." asked Ambrose.

Aira smiled. "Silly Ambrose. I travel with you. I made sure to buy a can of coffee just in case I need to make a homemade cup of coffee. You're welcome to join us, Kisei."

"That would be loved," Kisei smiled. "I could use a good cup of coffee right now."

"Yeah the day doesn't start without a cup of coffee," said Ambrose.

Kind of cheesy. If you were to use this in a larger piece of work, I would suggest adding description to make it more real.

Drabble 89: paper
Characters: Aira and Kyatto
Pairing: None
Location: Somewhere

For Kyatto paper was the worst thing to be created in the world. While it didn't have it's ups and downs but for Kyatto, everything she did with paper seems to go wrong. Paper just seems to hate her. Kyatto had lost count how many times she had gotten paper cuts. Paper has a bad habit of disappearing or getting destroyed whenever it was around her. More then often when she was carrying her manuscript, the wind would suddenly blow, causing them to fly everywhere or it'll instantly rain, soaking her novel.

Paper that has phone numbers and addresses will end up lost and misplace. There was even one time where it was snatched out of her hand by a crow.

Needless to say, Kyatto learned the hard way. Never trust paper and always make backups on your computer.

On the other hand, for Aira paper was one of the best things in the world. Her teachers and parents would tell her endlessly that paper was a terrible material to use when making paper fans. Aira scoffed at the fact. She would gladly tell any other master Windcrafter that paper fans had saved her life many times.

Plus paper was always in supply. It was easy to find paper and fashion it into a paper fan should the need arise. Also there was such pretty paper out in the world. If made correctly a paper fan could be as strong and pretty as metal and gems ones. Aira loved using paper. It also quite good in getting rid of annoying stalkers. Using her regular fans would have killed the boys.

There was plenty of paper in the world and everyone treats it differently!

Also, did you ever take another look at the kingdoms RPs I was telling you about? I'm going to be creating another Kingdom so there will be plenty of opportunities to post there and throw a character in there without having to read lots and lots of back story.

For Your Inspirations: A collection of tips, pictures, quotes, guides, links to help you write. Also allows people to gather and talk about their stories, get help ect ect.

I was also thinking there should just be a general thread about what the literature forum is all about. I think a lot of people think that the RP, Books and literature forums are quiet similar, but perhaps there should be a thread with clarification as to what the purpose of this forum is about. Also just some general rules.

Some reasons as to why the forum is here:

1) To discuss original prose, short stories, poems, and get feedback on them.
2) To brainstorm ideas for future original works of literature.
3) Create group round robins that allow all authors to develop many different characters that are not necessarily their own creation.

Something things I was thinking of that people need to look out for are:

1)Discussing other works that are from other authors. This should probably go into the books forum where they can discuss books, poetry, and other works that are not created by the members that frequent this site.
2) Copying and pasting unoriginal works from other authors. This again, goes into the books forum where they can discuss those things there.
3) Having a round robin turn into an RPG where they only play their own characters.

Those are just some things rolling around in my head.

I asked Mike about it that. He says just wait on it for now. *shrugs* so I wait.

I finished two guides and the index. *tired sigh*

And I'm working on For Your Inspiration.

Any other suggestions?

To be honest, I see a lot of cross over between the literature forum and the book forum. I think they could all be one umbrella forum with a bunch of little sub forums but as long as people know that this is the place for original works of literature I think that's all that really needs to be known.

Yeah. We can suggest that they give us more forums here... like one for poetry one for stories one for fanfics, and one for round robin games/contest/ etc
but that does make it a little harder to move around in. >> Like... gaia.

Nah, I'm not suggesting that the forum is split up further, I'm just saying that we just need to be clear that this forum is for original works and that we want to foster creativity in each other. Debating and discussing other's work (people from outside of mene) should be done in the books forum.

Oh yeah. xD But of course for that. *nods* But nothing we can do about it right now. xD I asked Mike about it, he said to wait on it for awhile. *shrugs* if you want, we can ask another mod with more free time to do it. Or you can make the thread and ask them to sticky it.

If Mike said to wait on it I don't really see there being any point to going around him and asking some one else. It's just something to think of for the future.
