I forgot what I *really* wanted to say... D:

I quit smoking cold turkey after my heart surgery.
Everything smells so "intense,"...and stuff tastes totally different.
I don't trust the vape method because I'm not sure how safe that vape juice is for the lungs.
I hope that Faerie can kick the habit altogether and show it that she's the Boss!

Alas, I'm a baby with too much Fire influence to be good at baby steps. *giggle* I appreciate the calling me a baby, though! It made me happy like you wouldn't believe.

I quit 2 times before...both after heart attacks...but stress and depression drove me back to smoking.
This time I might stay quit..Having one's chest sawed open and being on a heart/lung machine while they sew new bypasses in tends to make smoking look a whole lot less desirable!

See, the vape is eventually going to be a flavored pacifier to keep me from returning to smoking. :P I've quit once before after using a vape for a few months, but this one is too easy to use, and also i can't adjust the nicotine level. Which means I can't step down.
My goal is to step down off nicotine completely over time and then only use it if I'm realllly craving a smoke.

I remember a fellow student saying a smoker's lung looked like a steak.

A burned steak. o-O

I remember it being quite a brown lung with a chunk of cancer.

I nearly gagged when I read that...

Steak doesn't look appetizing to me anymore, but the thought of a charred, nasty piece of meat with cancer on it... EWWWW!!

I also made a point to purchase some supposedly high grade "juice" less chemicals in it than the ones I'm using now. Supposedly, at least. I feel like vape "juice" isn't really well regulated.

Oh yes fairy. Quir. I was doing 3 packs a day plus when i finally quit. It took me several trys. And then i had copd ffom smoking and the complications almost killed me and i was just crazy from steroids and vicoden but thank god i did quir and followed my drs instructions and im much healthier not than i was then. Dont wait. Do it now.
