My first account was made in late '06, though I never used that one after I signed up since I forgot the username. Second account was made a year later in late '07, which I used until it got banned. My latest one was made somewhere around in '09 I think, for cosplay reasons. In all I think I have around five or six accounts. Not that many compared to some...

I should see what is in the GDC, and if our ad is a topic of conversation.

I'm an '03er. :XD I've given Gaia a lot of money since I started, but I haven't lately. I just dunno... I'm starting to not be able to keep up with all of the item releases, and it makes me sad. I always shoot to have one of every EI, but things are getting tight for me financially, so I've been buying with gold instead. My reserves are depleting quickly.
@Angel: I don't think there's a topic about the ads. You should make one. ;)

I joined Gaia Feb '08. Not quite a '07er, huh? :(
My user name is Sporking, if you'd like to add. ;D
Umm.. I'm not sure what to say. I love Gaia. <3
O: I actually joined Menewsha because I was thinking of quitting Gaia...
But I think I still like Gaia more. xD Don't be sad though, this site isn't terrible.
One of the things I love about gaia is the rallies and the towns. c:
If Menewsha had those, or something like them, I'd be like, "heck yeah! :insane:"
But it probably doesn't even have enough members. :/ Maybe one of these days.
I also love the marketplace too. And the status things. When they first made the statuses I was pretty I annoyed, but now I just lovelovelove them. C:
I guess the most annoying thing about Gaia is how they keep changing the navigation. It would be okay if they were making it better, but they're just making it worse. If I was new to Gaia, I'd probably be lost instantly. :c And that's not good.
Well, not sure what else to say.
XD
I'd just keep typing good stuff probably.
Just add me on there, if you'd like.

As of this second there are 6 for Gaming discussion, none on. Over 30 for the GD, 2 of them on. Over 30 for anime and manga, 5 on. 14 for Art, 4 on. Over 20 for the role playing area, 7 on. Over 20 for Entertainment, 4 on. 11 for the Writers Forum, 1 on.
So out of over 100 moderators for the site... only 28 are online as of this moment. And half of the ones offline have not been on in months.

I am SO disappointed to read this :( I remember a topic in Site Feedback back in '05 from a kid who'd done the same thing; gone through all the forums and checked on the mod activity. He said there were some then who hadn't been on for over a year : /
I forever state that so much of Gaia's problems stem from poor moderation. Gaia has rules, the majority of the forums don't allow spam, but it still happens because there's not enough mods to deal with it. So sad.
It's the reason why we have attendance requirements for our mods. If people persistently can't put in their required hours then they have to step down, we have no dead wood on our staff, consequently, our forums are not a mess...

i really am getting annoyed with all the stuff they keep adding and changing. i mean its hard enough for older users to follow. i cant imagine how hard it must be for new comers. and they always have a bug in something. i think they need to work on fixing the old ones before adding more and more and changing layouts and stuff.

I'm Shintouyu, and I guess I could say I obviously come from Gaia Online. I've been there since 2006; or so says that anniversary sash I have. However, I was semi-active on joining, nearly unactive in 2007, and became more active in 2008 and onwards.
My main there is, as my username says, Shintouyu (oh how I just love this username). Though I have multiple mules there, let's keep their names a secret.
I mainly go to Gaia to visit the Anime/Manga/Comics forum (which I've apparently gain a Regular status there) and on some occasions, the Chatterbox as well. I've made alot of friends in the A/M/C and gained alot of knowledge from it as well. I usually went there as a past time and for some conversation, but recently it's been rather difficult to find anything to talk about. That's why I've been moving around to the Question & Assistance and Bug Reports & Technical Support forums. Even more recently to Site Feedback as I'm rather feeling distaste with many of GO's new site updates. :/
I always thought that Gaia's fun factor and strong point was their avatars with their inumerable dressing up options. But recently, I think GO has been rather money hungry and has left their gold-only users to starve themselves rather heavily; and I really take pride in being a gold-only user. But I don't think I'll be leaving GO anytime soon though.

I need to check my email to see if they've reset the password for one of my mules. Hope they have, but I'm kind of expecting no response at all, going from other people's experiences ._.

Should I worry that Gaia and Menewsha seem to be having their events at roughly the same time?

I did find it really odd that their events popped up at about the same time.
It was more odd that I was just thinking the day before that it was odd that neither site had had their summer events yet.
I'm sure Mene's event will be way better though. I picked Rich Camp btw.

I'm just a bit of an item hoarder and was worried just about getting all the items from Gaia, I don't even know how much time I'll need to get Menewsha's items too or how much free time I'll have.

I've been on Gaia since 2006.
With a bunch of different accounts though.
Not telling you my account though. >_>
I've donated $100+ over the last year.
Yet I'm starting to think they are getting a little too money hungry.
Although I know it takes a lot to run that site.
