I was thinking about painting my nails a translucent pink today but I'm not so sure. I have a hangnail that's bothering me...

I've always struggled with fake nails, because my nails are much more curved at one end than the other. My little fingers have the most curve, and that lessens with each nail, my index fingers are petty flat by comparison. I've not known fake nails to be made to accomodate that.

Hm... That does sound like it would be a problem. The press on nails I was talking about above might work because they seem to form a bit to each nail due to the gel-like sticky stuff on them but I can't guarantee it.

I'm thinking about getting a manicure.

I have a set of the Impress nails but haven't used them. 1) Because I'm not allowed to have fake nails at one of my jobs. 2) Because it's got some animal print on it that I don't care for...

Yeah... I don't think anyone looks good in animal print, unless it's a small thing like a scarf.
Kinda like no one looks good in paisley...

I also have some Sally Hansen nail appliques that are both animal print but got them for free.

I got some random nail appliques for free one time. Tried it out, didn't work out so well.

Apparently Maybelline has a Midnight Plum polish as welllip stick.

it is a blackish color with sparkles in it. that makes it look like night lights.

That sounds really pretty! I've only seen a few shades like that before online.

Recently I've been watching the water nail polish videos on youtube and I think I lost my brain somewhere in there.
Have any of you done something like that? Any tips/advice if you have?

I reeeeallly want to try doing that sometime but I feel a bit intimidated by it...

I haven't had any success with it at all.

Right now I'm just going natural with my nails. They've turned thin and kind of brittle lately, so I'm just letting them grow out, and clipping them as they grow. I've got to find a strengthener to put on between now and Thanksgiving, because I want my nails to look nice for that day.
