Well, I have tried knitting, but I seem to end up crocheting somewhere along in the process. I only ever get stitches on one of the needles, you see.

Hmm. I've tried my hand at knitting before. It's fairly simple, I just don't currently have the patience and discipline for it. It's too repetitive, I tend to drop stitches, and I can't keep a consistent tension. But I'm confident that if I felt like really dedicating myself to it, I could do it.

I taught myself by watching some videos on youtube. They were designed for tweens are a bit corny, but they're really effective and explain and show the process very well. I can find them for you if you'd like.

Here you go! There's more than one, the others can be found in the related videos, or by going to the uploader's profiles, whichever you prefer.

Cherry~ My family is huge and all across the country..and some are out of country. My gram had 10 kids. Who had kids...and so on and so forth. Plus, there is my gram's family. Her immediate family is small, but several extended members. Then my gramp's family is the same. That's not including my dad's family. Yep.

I like pink/gray. Not hot pink, but a soft shade. Nice room updates! I like the curtains, esp. the gray walls. Oooo candy dispenser reminds me of candyman.

Biggles~ A hurricane lamp? o: It's so pretty!

Wow, that's a lot of kids!

Thanks! I love my gray walls. I had been wanting them for so long and my mom got me the paint as a birthday present. Took me a while and it's not perfect (painting is hard), but they're mine and I love them.

Tired! I'm good otherwise. I got an A on my history class and I'm waiting on my Sociology teacher to put grades up. I worked 6 days straight and got off Monday, but family was visiting so that meant cleaning and cooking. I work another 4 days and I've been blessed with 3 days off. Christmas eve, day, and the 26th. I can't wait. I sleep, but I still feel tired and weighed down. Hours start at 6pm until 11:30pm. So either you're super early or late. Also, my manager is an evil critter I've been working with the diamonds, semi prec. for the holiday. I don't mean evil as in hard work, but evil as she has a superiority complex and enjoys making your life hell. My regular area with watches and costume has a new manager who is... an airhead. ._. Organized, wants to try yes. But, she's been in the system a couple decades and yet she asks what she's supposed to do...or the other thing I don't like is she confronts you about other people. That's one on one...you don't drag other people in the dept. into something between a mgr. and assoc. Bleh... I'm job hunting. Hopefully, I can snag something and say goodbye to the crapola.

... Sorry for rambling on. You asked though... ;'D Your welcome! How have you been?

Congrats on the A! Bleh, sorry to hear about the work situation, though. :gonk: You've been there about a year now, haven't you? And you've done pretty well while you were there. So that'll look quite shiny on your resume, hopefully you won't have any trouble getting a new job away from stupid managers. :)

I've been good! Just got my GED. :boogie: I did really well on it, and I'm now qualified for a full one year scholarship to the CC I was planning on going to for a year (then I'm transferring somewhere else). Huzzah!

Cherry~ Schweet! You're well on your way. Any idea for a major or taking general classes until you decide? c: I'm trying, I have an interview on Weds.

I'd like to go into psychology. :) Later I'll specialize it more into either research/studies or forensic psychology. I haven't decided which yet, but I don't need to know yet. The CC only offers a one year psychology transfer program, which is perfect for my plans since I was going to transfer after a year anyway. Hopefully I'll be able to get a master's degree in it. Boyfriend might be going to law school next year, so he can help support me through grad school once he's a lawyer. :ninja:

Ooh, yay! I hope the interview goes well! Good luck!

Are you having a pleasant holiday-type-time-thingy?

Cherry~ That's great! c: I hope so, too. Yes, I did. 3 uninterrupted days of rest. I don't wanna go back today. ;o; Gotta get ready for my apt. tomorrow. It's a group interview and depending on how well you do they call you back for another one. >o< How has your holiday been?

Group interview? I haven't heard much about those, but I can imagine. Good luck, and try to stand out (in a positive way)!

Holiday's been pretty good. :) Enjoyed seeing family and all that! Today I need to get some work done, though. I've been slacking lately.

This is the seaon for slacking (which is why I'm on here at work . . . )

Actually I'm helping out at another branch that was short staffed and since it's not my home I don't have a lot of busy work to do so I have time to visit Mene.

Miss you all

Mostly nice- had a scare with little man being sick and having to take him to the hospital - but luckily he is on the med with his antibiotics and back to his usual pleasant self :)

How about you?

Oh no. :( Glad he's feeling better!

I've been doing good! You might have already seen it on facebook (or just a few posts above, for that matter  ) but I got my GED! That's pretty much all I've got going on that's exciting/notable right now. Hmm... I'm trying to read more. That's almost interesting?

Long time no see, si~ c: Adorable baby!

Cherry~ I was called back for another interview this morning. o': Flailing about because I'm on the heavy side and apparently my fam thinks I looked stuffed for the last one. You look like you have massive implants hanging out ...blah blah. That's not going to help me lose weight and now I'm off my A-game. D': I went in confident and stomped on my nerves, but now I'm all over the place trying to work a miracle. The most I can do is wear one of those shape suits, I guess. I've always had boobs and yeah they're bigger with the extra weight... I can't zap em away overnight. >.< /fail

Any good books? I haven't read in ages. I miss books. ;.;

Augh, I'm sorry you lost some of your confidence. :( Like you said, you can't lose the weight overnight, and you certainly can't help where it's stored. Just try to make sure your clothes are modest, that's all that can be done. What's underneath them doesn't matter and certainly doesn't effect how good you'll be at the job, your level of professionalism, etc. That's what's most important and that hasn't changed since your first interview. And clearly you didn't look unprofessional in the first interview or you probably wouldn't have been called back for a second, right? They liked you! Nothing to worry about. :)

I've been rereading the Harry Potter series, which is good, but everyone knows that. Before that, I read The Golden Compass, and before that, World War Z, which is easily one of the best books I've ever read. It's a very realistic (in terms of how humans react) take on a zombie apocalypse and how it would be handled (not well). Incredibly well done, with quite a lot said about humanity, society, etc. Probably wouldn't be all that enjoyable to people who dislike the zombie thing, but for those who do, it's the best bit of zombie fiction I've yet seen/read. I kept putting off finishing it because I just didn't want it to be over. But since it consists of lots of little mini stories, in a way, it's very rereadable.

I would forget to read quite a bit too. I'm shit at remembering to do things unless I tie them to something already in my routine. So now I read right before bed. I don't forget then!

Oooo... I'm going to have to check out world war z. :3 I think I ended up doing okay at the interview. Routines are good, I need to get in the habit of one

If you do, lemme know what you think of it!

Glad to hear the interview went well!

The only routines I really have are in the morning when I shower and at night when I'm getting ready for bed. The rest of the day I just kind of float around. I need to work on that. I'm just usually so tired, it's hard to do anything.
