Huh, that sounds a little it better. At least a glitter would be more waterproof than flocking powder. You wouldn't have to worry about messing up the texture as much.

Personally, it'd drive me crazy too. I would look at it and say, "That is NOT finished."

I would constantly want to put a gel top coat on it. Probably a couple layers of top coat, since tinsel glitter tends to be a tad more pokey.

I'm not sure you could even get the appropriate number of top coats over that to make it feel smooth. V_V

Yeah, no, it would probably take a lot of top coats, but eventually - especially if the glitter was pressed on properly in the first place - top coat would cover it.

I've used multiple layers of top coat to smooth out glitter. All that accomplished was entire nailsworth of polish dropping off the next day >_>

Jelly, if I had only seen that photo, I would have assumed that was a pair of fake nails you'd bought and painted. I can't believe that all that polish just flaked off in one whole hunk.

That seriously has and does happen. I've had it happen to myself as well as a couple of my customers.

I've had that happen several times, but only with glitter polish. It sucks, too, because if the polish is going to pop off like that, it'll be within the first couple days. You just look down at some point and go "wtf?"

Yeah. Glitter polish, and one too many coats of top coat.

Such irony, as glitter polish is such a bastard to remove normally -.-

Just keep loading on the top coat, and allow to fully dry in between layers. Maybe four or five layers should do it. Six if you want.

So, I splurged today and bought 5 new bottles of nail polish today. I got two bottles of the Sally hansen crackle overcoat, two bottles of Essie nail polish, and another bottle of a different brand. Yikes, The Essie polish is spendy, but they're so pretty T_T

@ Kay: Have fun with your new colors! I'm starting to get tired of my polish but I already have so many I feel like I probably shouldn't buy any more. ^^;

If I've managed to get this job, I'll use a tiny bit of my first paycheck to get a bottle of Essie 'Set In Stone'.

That is so cool! I'm totally going to do some researching and browsing to find some nail polish like that. I have never seen that before but the effect it just amazing. I am like super into nail polish, i'm always wearing it, i never go nude nail, it makes me feel undone. But anyway, i am always looking for new and cool ways to do my nails, and this totally peeked my interest.
