I think a lot of slang in Halo, is actual slang people have used over time, at least one point or another I'm sure.
So, you can't really say they ripped it from Halo.

I just feel that a lot of the words are used because they're words that people know so that its easier to explain so that people understand what they're trying to say in the other language.

Yeah, if you don't want people to get confused and frustrated, use a word they know already.

I personally like the second one better, as I think it has a nicer flow to it. I hate those tube socks on the first one. XP Plus, it seems like there are more randomly thrown-on items in the first one as well.

I really love the first one and how sinister it looks like. It has a great balance, too.
The second one has that nice earthy tone that gives all the colours a nice pastel appeal. To be honest, I enjoy them both, but the second one appeals to me just a hair more. Great creations, Seiki.

I think that they chose a good work to kind to let people know what else it could be associated with.
And thats clever with what the meaning of the word is.

But yes, Unobtanium is an actual word. I had mentioned earlier that they chose it as kind of an ironic joke.

Unobtainium is a humorous name for any extremely rare, costly, or physically impossible material needed to fulfill a given design for a given application, usually in fiction or thought experiments.
