It's hard to explain menewsha or other sites like this to people who don't go on them/don't know they exist because they just don't 'get' them. Must be something to do with the kind of person you are?

it does! I mean, in this small town, it's not as bright, but in bigger places it happens, sometimes it's almost like day light out, in the middle of the night.

I am into this kind of website because of anime, then avatar. I like avatar.
and the whole aspect of forum.

Because my friends are not all avid English users, they are used to their english slang, which would not fit well online. They prefer to communicate in those slang, sharing of the same culture.
Like facebook, and those social sites that do not encourage long post.
