"So when are you coming home?....Okay...well when you do, we need to go to the store...I ran out of eggs and milk, we need juice...well we need a few things actually." she said. "Well, we're hungry people dear...I eat a lot and you know it...Okay...I'll see you in an hour...love you...bye." she said and chuckled as she checked the kitchen and started making a list of what was needed. Amelia smiled and continued to kiss him and hoped he didn't get mad at her.

Kuratu deepened the kiss a little.

Amelia smiled into the kiss and matched the kiss with one of her own deep kisses.

Dennis reached over and batted their faces. 'Ba-a!'

Kuratu pulled back and looked down at him, smiling. 'Sorry, Dennis.'

Amelia giggled and kissed Dennis' head cutely. "Yeah Dennis, we're sorry." she said and smiled blushing a little. Jewel then came over to them and smiled. "Hello you little lovebird, your father and I are going to the store once he comes home...do you two want anything?" she asked them. Amelia thought for a while and smiled. "I want some candy please...skittles, and twizzlers please." she said. Jewel nodded and added that to the list. "What about you Kuratu?" she asked him.

'I'm fine, thanks,' Kuratu said, with a small smile. 'But we need peas for Dennis. He'll eat anything with peas in it.'

"Peas...okay." she said and wrote it down. She then left to get ready. Then Etienne arrived home and sighed tiredly. "Daddy...you should get some rest before you go to the store..." said Amelia with concern on her face. Etienne smiled and nodded. "Thanks Amelia...I think I will...Kuratu, how was school?" he asked him and smiled at Dennis.

'Very well, thanks,' Kuratu said. 'How was work? Tiring, it seems.'

Etienne smiled and nodded. "I'm happy to know you're liking school. Yes, it was very tiring today...but it's all to save people..." he said before excusing himself and leaving to his room. Amelia frowned and shook her head.

Kuratu looked at her. 'Something wrong?'

"I worry for my dad...I'm afraid he'll get sick or something for working too hard and too long." she said to him.

'Talk to him about it,' Kuratu said. 'I'm sure he'll listen.'

"What do I tell him though? That I don't want him to work anymore?" she asked him and frowned.

'No,' Kuratu said, 'tell him you miss him because he's away at work so much. I'm sure he'd be willing to end an hour earlier or so every day.'

Amelia listened to him and nodded. "Okay...I'll see what I can do..." she said and went over to her father's room.

Kuratu played with Dennis as he waited.

Amelia entered her father's room and saw him sleeping. She frowned and went back to the living room. "He's sleeping Kuratu..." she said to him and frowned. "I don't want to be mean and wake him up..." she added quietly.

'Then don't,' Kuratu said, smiling at her. 'Wait until he's awake.'

Amelia listened to him and nodded. He did have a point in what he was saying, so she went over to him and sat on the floor. "I'm bored...." she said and sighed.

'Well, come play with us,' Kuratu said. 'There's always room for more.'

Amelia looked up at him and giggled. She loved how he always made her happy when she was down. "Okay then...what shall we play?" she asked him and went over to play with them.

'We were rolling this ball at each other,' Kuratu said, holding it up. 'We could include you.'

Amelia smiled and nodded. "I remember I would play this with my dad when I was smaller. It's fun!" she said and sat with them.

Kuratu smiled, and rolled the ball to her.

Amelia smiled and rolled the ball to Dennis. She remembered playing this with her dad when she was about Dennis' age. She wished she was smaller again...those were very simple days with no fear, no lies...all a happy paradise for her.
