I commit many culinary crimes like that-- This year, instead of turkey for Thanksgiving, I had salisbury steak!

That's not so awful. My grandmother used to make prime rib for Thanksgiving and duck l'orange for Christmas.

The point is, I remember when, but I don't remember today's date. XD

I've never had duck except Peking duck-- which is excellent.

I imagine being able to afford prime rib for a whole family would be a good thing to be thankful for! But then, usually my slightly extended family gets together for Thanksgiving when all the grocery stores have a good deal on turkey. (My proper extended family gets together sometime in October, and we have to rent a place big enough to hold 200~ people, all of whom will be bringing amazing homecooked food. My family reunions are awesome. XD)

Grandma didn't keep in touch with extended family, so she was only cooking for 3-4 people.
I love my family's reunions as well. I have a big family on my dad's side.
Duck l'orange is delicious: Om nom nom. But then, I really love duck. So delicious.

Mm... that looks pretty amazing... too bad Mom isn't fond of duck, or I'd have to try that recipe!

My mom doesn't like duck either. She says it's too greasy.
I love fowl. And I like beef in certain forms. Pig I only really like in bacon or ham form. I will occasionally eat pork. I'm a veggie eater more than a meat eater, but I just love birdies. They're so delicious.

Meat is pretty amazing! I love veggies, too, but I couldn't be a vegetarian... there's just too much deliciousness out there.

Chicken is literally the reason I failed at being a vegetarian. I did it for almost five months, but mom was making chicken one day and it smelled sooooo good.

I won't quite eat anything, but I'll eat most things... I seldom eat fish, because... I just don't like it. I've tried and tried to like seafood of all sorts, and I just don't. My tastebuds refuse to enjoy aquatic creatures unless they're fully enveloped in beer batter, deep fried, and then liberally anointed with malt vinegar, and at that point I don't think it really counts as fish anymore.

Haha, I don't really like fish either. Except, randomly, canned tuna.
