well I would save it, but everytime I check the saved area, i got nothing, because I got nothing saved there.

Good, cause the NPC's don't show up till you have a certain amount of candies :3
Once you get 12, check the same spot again, and if it isn't there, then that's the wrong spot!

I've got 28 candies, and no third clue, so I'm gonna guess they don't have the third clue/candy out yet.
