How's everyone doing? Any weekend plans?

My spring semester of college starts next week, so I have to get some supplies for my art class today...

that's exciting! how far are you into your program? and are you studying art, or are the supplies for an elective? i'm so excited for you, i hope you learn a lot this semester and that it's a good challenge

I had plans today to introduce my best friend to my grandmother, but she had to cancel because of an issue with her kids, and that's fine! We rescheduled. So, instead, I'm going back to the movie kick I've been on.

And I agree with ghost, that's so exciting to start another round of classes; I'm also curious what your dedication is leading to, in terms of a degree.

I'm actually hoping to get my degree in graphic design. :D I'm very excited. It'll be nice to take some classes that will actually go towards my major.

I got my license recently, so I've been driving around town by myself and I feel amazing! :D I used to be too afraid to drive, which is why it took me so long to get my license. But now that I have it, I actually, genuinely, enjoy driving.

I felt the same way when I first started driving! I think most of us do, when we first start out. It's still awesome that you're doing it, though - the driving, and college! I didn't get my license until I was 19 - mostly 'cause I was broke and couldn't afford the lessons to do so before turning 18.

I'm 28 now and just got my license. xD So I totally understand waiting.
I tried for my license a few times when I was still living in Minnesota, when I was around 19-20. But I ended up with a very mean instructor who made me feel like I was going to kill someone because I rolled through a stop sign. (Mind you, this was a closed course. So I wasn't even driving with other cars!)

I was too afraid to drive after that for years!

i feel you, i still don't have my license and i'm 29. my dad was a terrifying "instructor" when he took me driving twice as a teen, so i just never got good at it, and he never even let me go on the highway, so i just grew up unequipped for it and now i have a phobia of even being in a car so it's just not for me.

that's so exciting that you're pursuing Graphic Design! i always thought that looked like a fun major, and i bet you'll really fill out your portfolio with cool projects.

That's totally fair! I used to drive on the highway in Minnesota all the time, but it's much different here in LA. There are more lanes and more drivers. Dx I thought that I would never drive again once I got my license, I had a major fear of driving. But I think driving by myself is way better than driving with someone else. I can focus on just the road and I don't have someone chatting to distract me.

I'm very excited, I hope that once I get my degree I can start freelancing and working remotely so that I can spend most of my time traveling and I won't be tied down to one place. I like acting, which is what I was pursuing for all of this time, but I don't like being tied down to one city... And it's a city I hate too. XD

I had a very busy weekend at an anime convention! It was so hard to get enough to eat and enough sleep. > u>;;; I'm feeling pretty good today though~

Nahhh, I don't cosplay. Don't really like the idea of getting attention/having eyes on me.
Definitely a ton of awesome cosplayers and outfits though!

Personally, I m really really shy and I love dressing up in cosplay! I just love people recognizing me and asking for pictures. It's a way for me to connect without talking. xD
