But considering the origin of the Phoenix in roughly the form we know it as--Greek, potentially some Egypt influence or the other way around--it would not at all surprise me if it was the other way around.
Greek mythology is, after all, not known for being kind to its subjects.
(Sorry about the lack of posts to our RP, by the way. Been a bit too distracted to type up anything that even vaguely makes sense for it.)
Except for that whole "head split open by Hephaestus; thus Zeus giving birth to Athena" part, for one.
Which is (well, if you follow certain branches of the mythology over the others) a pretty massive paradox, because the mythology also holds that Hera gave birth to Hephaestus as revenge for his asexual birthing of Athena. Who was only born from Zeus after Hephaestus split his head with an axe.
old references : click 1click 2click 3 Ignore the heights on this one, BH is like a foot taller than I drew him in that.
Description: Medium height, Lightly toned (not skinny not hella buff), thick rimmed glasses, plugs in ears, single lip piercing, sloppy mohawk light brown with red tips. Has the bad luck of being best friends and translator to Bearhawk.
No, your magical personality makes them grow legs and wander over to you.
Hope the headache won't return.
Probably not. There's a difference between "not pleasant" and "skull split by axe", though. XD
If only my magical personality could really do that, haha.
It's here, though not as bad as it was yesterday. Past couple months, I've been getting some bad ones a week or so before that monthly gift arrives. I think my hormones might be off. :/
Note to everyone: My paternal grandmother passed away approximately eight hours ago after her state had been rapidly deteriorating for the ~48-72 hours previous to that (and more slowly since early December after a severe cerebral haemorrhage). It does not come unexpected and is--for everyone involved and especially for her--in many ways a relief, but I nonetheless of course still mourn her.
As a result, I both have not been around much the past few days and have hit a creative block. While I will try my best to get out the art freebies and RP responses several people are waiting on as soon as reasonably doable, I cannot currently give any sort of estimate as to when this will be the case.
This message will be crossposted as quote to the OOC threads of both RPs I am involved in.
I won't worry about them for now unless inspiration or the urge to work on them strikes me, but I figured it'd be fair to give everyone an update why I haven't been around much the past few days and why things have been delayed a fair bit.
