now that I have texting. Yes I do text a bit. My boyfriend has a different phone provider than I do, so it costs more to call him than to text him. I do like to hear his voice, but the occasional "I love you" is easier on text

See I don't even know why I have a cell phone. I hardly ever text anyone or call them. I find that I can just message them on MSN, facebook or send them an e-mail. If I need like an answer 'right here and now' then I will text them, but for the most part I hardly ever touch my phone.

No, not really, but I have friends that texting is their calling card so to speak and I have to text them back, but the thing is I suck at texting as I try to spell out each word and then after awhile I get lazy and start using chat speak and even then I'm still not very fast at it. I have watched some of the todays' youth get on their cell phones and text as if I was typing on a keyboard!! It is just amazing at how fast they can do it. I have been doing it for some time and the skill still seems to elude me. I just don't like to do it when it all comes down to it really. I would rather just pick up the phone and dial someone's number and talk to them the old fashioned way.

I like texting but I don't think I text as much as a lot of other people. I would text a whole lot more but hardly any of my friends have texting on their phones, as unbelievable as that sounds. It drives me crazy. I don't really have any problem calling people, but texting is so convenient if you have one thing to say. I like being able to send pic messages to people too. >_< Two of my friends just don't like texting so they don't have it, and one of them isn't allowed to have texting... Which is rather frustrating, my friends are all adults but she's one of the youngest and her mom just won't let her. @_@ The person I text the most often is my boyfriend. We text quite a bit when we're away from the computer, which is where we talk to each other otherwise. I call him if I want to have a longer conversation though. I've got another friend who loves sending me funny pictures she takes from her phone, and then a couple of other friends who text me every once in a while. I spend a huge amount of time online though, so most people can contact me through AIM or MSN or Facebook, or even PMs on any of the various forums I'm on like this one.

Noooo. I've sent like twenty text messages since the whole thing came into existence.
When I was a teen I texted my mom a few times to be picked up from work, and to be polite I've texted back
to the few people who've sent me messages. Most people know not to text me. I'm not a fan.
Pretty much feel like, if you want to talk then CALL me.
Anyway, I downgraded to a super cheap phone and plan so I can't even receive messages from the odd friend
who hasn't gotten the memo on me not being a text-er type person.

Well, I only text if there's something going on, or something I need a pretty immediate answer to. Which is why I have the smallest text plan available. But I do tend to prefer to text over voice, unless it's something involved which I need a lot of info about.

I like texting, and I do text a fair bit, but there are times when calling is just so much more convenient. I am thus very annoyed that my evenings went from 6pm down to 9pm. Grrr. I don't like you Rogers. Hiss.

I hardly ever text. The only time I remember texting a lot was when this guy I really liked **pause to swoon** got my number for the first time. :3

Yeah I text all the time. I don't exactly prefer it too calling, its just easier is all. Though if its to my boyfriend I normally call him at my lunch hour rather than text because I can say all I need to and don't get all antsy waiting for a reply from him. Though its different with friends. I mean I call them too obviously but not as often.
