Holly smiled. She was glad they could get along, even if it was only for her sake. "So Alana your going to live in a werewolf camp?" Holly asked amazed she didn't think it was going to work out well but it was worth a shot. "Isn't it going to smell really bad?" She asked again. "What are you going to have for blood?" Holly was starting to get worried. She didn't want something bad to happen to her. "Cant other vampires track your smell?" Holly was really scared now. 'This is just asking for trouble.' she thought.

*Josh stops, hearing Holly's questions*

"Don't worry, where we're going, nobody could find by smell, doesn't matter how strong or how well memorized." *he smiles* "Come on, did you really think we hadn't thought of that? If we were that careless, we'd be extinct by now. Don't worry, you're in competent hands."

*He turns back around and continues for the Inn*

Sighing Ember closed her eyes again and concentrated on the voice that had been trying to talk to her for the last four hours. She put her fingers on her temples and furried her face. "Come on, Come on." She muttered to herslef as the voice seemed to get louder and Lounder.

[[ Excuse my lack of posting. :C I've been awfully sick lately. ]]

Helen's endless pools of gray stared at Siegfried as they walked. He seemed lonely and for that, she pitied him. He was like all of the rest in the castle, though, lonely and bored out of their minds. It wouldn't take long until one of them was bored enough to go on a slaughtering spree. Hopefully the werewolves would be taken care of by then, there was no need for a war.

Her eyes fluttered to the castle after she was silent for a few moments. He wanted to show her his library. His special place where he spent all of his time. Sure, many people came in and out of there, taking his books along with them and hopefully bringing them back, but she still felt like she was being somewhat invasive. At least he had invited her.

"I'd love for you to show me your library," she said with a smile as she looked back up at him. She had only been to the library a few times. The first time she stumbled in after recently been turned into a vampire, but she was just exploring the castle. The second, she followed someone inside who she was having a heated and angry conversation with, while they were ignoring her and scanning the titles of books and the third she needed to find a book on sewing techniques, but she had no luck.

Flashing a sympathetic look to the vampire, he sighed. "I will be sure to see that you are well taken care of. It is nothing that you are used to, but I will do my best to make you comfortable."

Valdac saw nothing evil in this vampire. There was nothing hostile. Sure, he was a werewolf, and they would of course have an internal hate towards each other. He a secret, one of which he would never tell Josh, or any of the other wolves. It's the reason she died, she was killed. The girl he was in love with was a vampire, killed by a human hunter.

Taking a step back from the two girls, he looked back towards the forest. She hated it there, always had. But it was to keep her safe. He'll have to hide this vampire the way he hid his love. In his mind it was right, because of the way she felt about humans, but in his heart it hurt him to be doing this again.

Alana could feel that this werewolf was hurting. She wondered what caused him so much pain. She smiled at him and put out her hand

"Im Alana." She smiled at him "We havent been properly introduced."

She tried to fight the repulsion she had been trained to have towards these dog people.

Taking her hand delicately, he shook it. "Valdac. Pleasure to meet you."
Smiling weakly back at her, he averted his gaze toward the inn, wondering when Josh would get back. He'd like to get the hiding of these girls over with, and get around to seeing what the Alpha had planned.

She smiled at him trying not to get sick from the smell. She still had a hand over her nose.

"Its a pleasure to meet you Valdec. Im sorry if im being rude I just dont like the smell of werewolves. Maybe its an aquired taste."

She tried to take her hand away but immediatly felt nausiated. She smiled as way of apology and ptu it back.

"I have a question." Holly said quietly. She didn't want to interupt Alana or Valdec but she had an idea. "Can we go get Alana nose plugs? She looks about ready to faint." Holly said. She looked at alana then at valdec waiting for them to say anything at all. She thought it was a good idea but of corse she was 'only a human.'

*Josh returned with the other girl in tow*

"We're definitely giving her noseplugs, but not for comfort's sake; you can take that as a special bonus... Alana, was it? Your nose will be plugged, your eyes covered, and your feet bound before we leave. We're not taking any chances with this. Valdac, take riding-wolf form."

*Josh proceeded to stuff cotton soaked in strong-smelling wine into Alana's nose, tie a piece of thick black cloth securely over her eyes, and tie her feet together with rope.*

"The only reason your hands are free is so they can grip Valdac's fur as you ride. You two girls, when I go wolf I need you to jump onto my back and hold on tightly. Don't let go for any reason at all, and when the time comes, hold your breath." *he glances at Alana before turning back to them* "You'll know it when it happens. Let's go." *he turned into a lion-sized wolf with long coarse fur good for gripping*

Holly got onto the wolfs back. She honestly didn't like the fact alana was alone and bound together on the other wolfs back. Holly closed her own eyes and gripped onto the fur. She wasn't all to fond of riding on a wolf. She never liked riding on any type of animal. At least this ones part human. She thought trying to get herself to stop thinking about a boy as a wolf even if right now he was covered in fur ready to run off on four legs.

Alana growled. She didnt like the idea of being tied up like a prized catch. She accepted it though glad for the nose plugs. SHe stood there blindly waiting to see what would happen.

*Alana feels herself grabbed roughly and tossed onto what she assumes is Valdac's back. All she can do is hold on tightly as she feels them take off running through the forest.*

* The five of them tear through the woods at blinding speeds, twisting and turning, leaving confusing loops of scent trails should anyone be trying to follow or track them. Suddenly the trees break away and it becomes clear that they are fast approaching the river that springs from the Lake of Legends. Neither werewolf shows any sign of slowing down or turning away or even preparing to jump, and Holly remembers Josh mentioning a time when she would need to hold her breath. *

Holly quickly sucks in a breath of air and stops breathing as they go through the river. She isn't very fond of water so she closes her eyes and burrys her face in the fur on Joshs back. She waits while they run through the water. It feels like years are going by to holly. When they finally are out of the river holly sits up slowly and takes a few deep breaths not at all happy about being wet.

((Just to make sure it's clear, we didn't actually enter the Lake itself; we entered the river that springs from it, but we're several miles downstream. None of the vampires at the castle would be within sight or smell range of this.))

*As Holly looks around, she realizes they aren't anywhere she's ever seen before, or even heard of. They are in an underground cave; she can see the river they just ran through rushing by to their left for a moment before it drops out of sight behind them as they keep running through a system of tunnels. A myriad of strange smells assault even Holly's weak human nose, and as the wolves keep running down turn after turn through what seems like an underground maze of tunnels the smells change and shift between many different odors, all very strong and none familiar at all.*

Holly is amazed at the tunnels shes going through. "Wow." She says aloud. She's started smiling brightly she might enjoy herself here. Everything looks so interesting and intracate. Holly waches around them as they move swiftly. Any and every bit of color she can see is just a blurr. The only clear thing beside Josh she can see is alana and the dark figure she is holding onto.

*We've been moving so fast that by the time we reach the end of the tunnel system, everyone is completely dry. We slow down as the tunnel becomes a ramp, then a staircase, and finally we walk out into a town-sized clearing in the forest, with wood huts and grass shacks scattered randomly about. It's far less organized than a village, but more permanent than a camp. Werewolves in human and wolf form, and even several pure humans, are milling about the clearing. We stop, and Josh lets the humans get down, then reverts to human form and unbinds Alana, though he then keeps an iron grip on her left wrist (not uncomfortable, but definitely too tight for her to slip out unnoticed)*

"Welcome to the Werewolf Camp."

((I'm going to wait until Alana, Holly, and Valdac have *all* responded before continuing this part of the story, to make sure everyone's caught up ^_^))

Holly looked around the camp. She was amazed that people could live out here. She smiled at some of the werewolfs and humans. Holly wanted so badly to go hug alana and thank her for coming with her. She just moved over to stand next to her. "Thanks for coming with me." Holly smiled at alana. Very happy to know that someone, even a vampire, would be there for her.

Valdac lowers his body and gently bumps Alana off his back. Turning back into his human form, he took her by the upper arm, being careful of what seemed to be very delicate skin. Sighing to himself, he looked to Josh to see what he wanted done. Frankly, he didn't want to have to hide her in one of the small huts. They were not the most elegant of dwellings, and nothing like her usual lifestyle.

Under his hand, her skin was cold, reminding him of his love. Deciding not to get emotional before his friend and the girls, he removed his hand from her arm, and down to his side. Figured it would be best if he let Josh lead her for now.

"So Josh, where will we be taking these lovley ladies to stay?"

Ember gave up and decided to go for a walk. She changed into a pair of jeans and a t-shirt and walked down to the lake where she sat next to a tree and stared into the beauty of it. It seemed to be full of tears, but it was just rocks. She remembered the story she had heard about the god who feel from heaven and landed here. Such a foolish story, there was no such thing as heaven, and she surly wasn't going there.

((I didn't see anything in Sephi's post that didn't fit with my posts... Maybe I missed something? But I think you can go ahead and respond, Tali, it all seemed to fit together okay to me, just put Valdac's actions around Josh's [Valdac bumps Alana off his back and steadies her with his hand, then Josh unbinds her and grabs her wrist, then Valdac lets go and asks his question, which I'll answer as soon as you post ^_^] ))

Alana looked around her a moment. She wondered what was going on. It was pretty here. She looked at Holly and smiled at her.

"Your welcome Holly. I suppose as long as I dont die Ill be ok."

She left the stuff in her nose because the smell of werewolves made her feel nasiated. She waited to see what was going to happen. She hoped Helen wasent going to be to upset. She rather liked her.

*Josh turns to Valdac* "We take them to the Alpha, he'll decide what to do with them."

* The werewolves lead the two humans and the vampire through the camp to the largest building in the clearing; it's still only one story tall, but it's fairly wide and very long, like an Iroquois Longhouse. It's made of nails and sturdy wooden planks, rather than logs or grass and twigs, so though relative to even a standard human village house it is quite humble in its construction, it is still the most impressive building here. There is a door in one end of it, which Josh opens, leading everyone inside. *

* The first thing everyone notices is the throne, if you can call it that. It's not fancy or decorative at all, but it is large and made of stone, standing out against the wood, grass, and clay that everything else in the entire camp is made of. The next thing everyone notices is who -- or what -- is sitting on the throne. Josh and Valdac of course immediately recognize the Alpha, but the humans and vampire would react differently depending on how much they know about werewolves, because -- if they know this -- it looks like they are seeing a werewolf in his rabid forced full-moon transformation, though the full moon is still about a week away. He is tall, muscular, and bulky, with a human shaped body but a wolf shaped head, with fur all over his body but especially long from the top of his head like human hair would be, which is braided and hangs over his shoulder in a long ponytail. An ornately carved long-handled silver warhammer is leaning against the side of the throne. His eyes don't seem crazed or rabid, though; they seem warm and kind, if a little careworn. His wolfish mouth is smiling calmly, and he is sitting relaxedly in the throne-like stone chair as though there was nothing for anyone to worry about. Though his appearance is alarming, his demeanor puts off somewhat of a soothing, calming aura. As everyone walks in, he looks up with a smile, and speaks out with a deep booming voice. *

"Ah, young Josh, welcome back from the hunt! And Valdac! It is good to see you again my pup! You have been far too long away from us, it is well that you are back!" *He smiles kindly as he gets up and walks forward* "And who are these that you have brought with you?" *he sniffs the air* "It would seem to be two humans and... a vampire?" *He looks at Alana with curiosity, but there doesn't seem to be any hatred or even aggression in his demeanor. He turns to look directly at her and addresses her personally.* "And what are you doing here, Child of Cain?"

(("Child of Cain" is an ancient, very respectful term for "Vampire". Alana hasn't heard it in over a hundred years.))

Alana looked at the giant werewolf in front of her glad that her nose is still plugged up. She took a deep breath and then walked up to him. She stood up tall not showing a trace of the fear that made her want to run and hide.

"I honestly dont know what im doing here. I am trying to help this human. "She pointed at Holly. She saw an attack and currently is under attack by a vampire clan. Shes in grave danger and these two" Pointed at josh and Valec " They insisted she be taken here. I dont think you understand the gravity of the situation. I was supposed to kill her but I wont because Ive always liked humans. I used to be one myself. I want her safe from the vampires who are out to kill her and I want to make sure she is actually safe. I am not fully aware of how your pack can handle a whole clan of vampires. They are bent on not having there identitys known. When they set there hearts on somthing they will make sure that it will be done."

She tried to control her heartbeat. She had heard her whole life that werewolves would kill a vampire. She was just hoping that this was a myth and that she wasent in any danger.
