idek. I think there's a lot of unnecessary attention on gender in general. On both sides of the issue. Like its totes not cool for someone to try and decide another person's gender. But I also think its not necessary to expect every person to know every single different type of gender and their specific pronouns, as long as its clear that they'll accept you whatever you are, as long as you're a mentally well-adjusted not-butthead? That's just how I handle it.

i think gender's a very self kind of thing. i dont expect everyone to know what agender means obviously and most people are absolutely transphobic as hell but i expect them to not be assholes about stuff when i tell them. most of my friends irl know and all my online friends know and they've done their best! i'm not actually too picky about pronouns (although i do prefer they/them but i know it's hard) as long as people avoid really gendered language like specifically calling me a "girl" or "boy" :p that's just my personal experience with stuff though

nah i'm.. i go by a personal basis. like i try as much as possible to be politically correct and not offend someone because i'm in several minority groups and i live smack dab in the bible belt so i know it gets pretty frustrating to deal with but in general i dont mind so much. like theres so many genders out there that people ID as aside from male/female but then there's the main nonbinary genderfluid/agender/bigender (i think) and then there's the Other Stuff. as long as someone tells me and i'm pals with them i'll do my best to remember and treat them accordingly - like you wouldn't suggest girls to date to a gay guy friend :p

it's just one of those things that are important to me personally but in regards to how other people treat me i don't really mind too much as long as they're not "HOW COULD YOU THAT IS WRONG AND TERRIBLE" etc. about it. like i have a friend who's a trans boy and referring to him as a girl really hurts him but the reason i say i'm agender is because i'm literally genderless and idgaf most of the time haha

nah, dys, i see where you're coming from and i know that it's difficult for a lot of people! especially if it's not something that impacts you directly it's a lot harder to care about.
but i also get where they're coming from though because it's frustrating as hell sometimes when you're tired of people rejecting you constantly and it's easier to just find people who'll get it right from the get-go :p sometimes i do the "i dont even want to waste time talking to you" thing too but that's usually only with people i just dont feel it's worth anything to talk to haha
