Okay, I know some of you play Gaia and I am sorry if it is inappropriate to type this about another site. I just want to see the others opinion on this. So do you guys like their new changes? I like how they made their gold and such cool but not that black bar on the bottom. Quick thing? I don't know it is annoying. Ugh! Your thoughts my fellow mene? I think this site is where I be spending my time more now. ;--;

Yeah, Gaia is really losing me as a fan of their site. I may log in every so often, but I think I will defiantly be telling my friends they can find me her more often then on gaia. I mean between their constant layout updates, the more they make things cash shop exclusive, and that it seems like none of their mods give to turds about the members, it seems like I can't stay there.

Urgh, the new navigation bar... That footer is getting on my last nerve!!!
Between the layout changes, the cash shop and the lack of gold shop updates, I'm getting really sick and tired of Gaia. The only reason why I go on there anymore is to get my dailies.
Even back when I joined ('07), things were so much cheaper, and the site was a lot more fun.

You know what, it almost seems like Gaia is going through it's mid life crisis and is just trying to stay 'hip' with everyone.

I think gaia is on life support so its just trying to wring every dime out of its users it can before it falls apart. it's already a PG-13 version of 4chan basically. XD Nobody likes it or has any respect for it anymore.

Hell i was visiting my cousin the other day and asked his 12 year old daughter if she got on gaia. She looked at me, rolled her eyes and said she would not be caught dead on that site, neither would any of her friends. I kinda laughed pretty hard. :3

Gaia's getting greedy.
People on gaia are so fake and vain and stupid... and most just go around insulting people for no reason what so ever just because it's "fun."
They even have some people on celebrity status and everyone wants to be their friends. I'm like "This is way too stupid for me. :lol:"
Everyone is hating on someone else for some dumb reason.
Gaia has turned into a self degrading internet reality show, seriously. :XD
That and the site is getting more and more inconvenient, links are scattered in weird places and difficult to access, they change the site constantly, and usually for the worst, and just for apperance reasons. It may look better on the superficial side, but it keeps getting shittier and shittier access wise.

The only reasons I still go on there are because of some friends, a couple guilds, my aquarium, and because I put real money into my avatar. D;
(Which I wish I hadn't done. :lol:)

I know exactly what you mean. All their crud seems so expensive these days, and almost all of their new items you can't get unless you have those cash cards. I can't keep going to Target looking for new cards! It's like those admins think their users are made of money, right?
And their tektek.org seems on the fritz. Even if I don't feel like going back, I still enjoy using that system. But lately it seems like either features won't show up or when I finish I can't see the avi at all. Any theories on why that is?

@Joey Kitsune: Tektek is actually a user-run website, so Gaia doesn't have any control over that.

I didn't realize that the Kottan Bell had fully evolved. I promptly sold it. Too girly for my tastes. ;P

Why are people making such a fuss about the footer? It's not as if it's IN YO FACE or anything, it's pretty unobtrusive down there at the bottom of the page, and you can get rid of it altogether, so what's the big deal?

Yeah, I was much happier when I collapsed the footer. I just don't like footers like that in general. It's okay on Facebook, probably because it's always been there and it's more like tabs than a strange toolbar. All I want are the quicklinks really. :D Thread subscriptions, journal subscriptions and the avatar page are integral to my Gaia experience.

That footer is annoying as hell.

The way they redid the top bar where your gold amount is at is annoying, too.

I go on there daily to feed my gold-bought aquarium fish.

I don't mind it. I like collapsing it and using the quick links, which is pretty handy. Although it wouldn't really be needed if they had kept the old navigation bar. :|

It just doesn't know what to do with itself.

Or what I'm starting to get really sick of is that supposedly 'rare' trunk that pops up just about everyday at some point during the time that I am on gaia, but the only way you can get any thing out of it is if you have that stupid key! Seriously!? When are they going to get rid of the regular rare events, because I think that's what they're hinting towards.

So far I'm feeling sort of lonely around here without my old Gaian friends. But I don't feel like I want to make a mule account just to say that I'm leaving and tell them where they can find me. This week was just that broke the camel's back for me with Gaia. They can only push you so far until you fall out of the bed, am I right?
Anyways, I'm facing an emotional dilema.

I understand what it's like to leave friends behind.
I've done it so many times I've lost count.
I'm sure you will make new friends here.
And no worries, all the things that made you dislike gaia are not to be found here.

Easier said than done. Most of the people I have on my friend list here seem a tad too busy with their own affairs to have much time for casual chatting through messages. Not that I'm complaining. Just rather lonesome half the time.

It's easier to find a hangout and chat rather than chat through messages.
Posting is one of the quickest ways to make gold here, well, rather than games.
So no one wants to chat through messenger.
