Rail stared after him unmoving, "Hell if I know...."

Gray frowned looking at Charmase then back at Rail.

Charmase sighed, softly, and thought for a long moment. "I don't think you should push him so hard. If he doesn't remember, then he can't really talk about it..."

Rail grumbled a bit thent nodded, "Fine....whatever..."

Damon headed back out into the living room and sat down on the sofa, sipping at his orange juice. He looked defensive, unhappy.

Charmase nodded, slowly. "...I still think you should try to talk to him...about other things, though."

"Like what he's like a clam?" Rail said softly looking at Damon worriedly.

"Maybe you two should do what Gray and I did. Just...talk about each other!" Charmase suggested. "...You do need to see him as Damon, after all..."

"I do see him as Damon…and I tried that he didn't want to talk…" Rail huffed.

"Don't push him about the abuse and he probably will talk," Charmase huffed back, putting his hands on his hips.

Rail opened his mouth to say something back but realized he couldn't win so closed it. "Fine..." He scowled crossing his arms.

"Then, shoo! Off with you! Go make nice with him," Charmase encouraged, smiling.

I'm going..." He grummbled as he went over to Damon. "Look I'm sorry...."

Damon had just finished his orange juice. "I am, too...but if I don't remember, I don't remember...I just know it happened..." he muttered.

"All right that's fine..." He sighed, "What about anything else...not relating to your childhood...." He said trying to relax a bit.

Damon set his empty glass on the small table in front of them. "Like...what?"

"Uh....I don't know like...animals...everyone likes animals..." Rail said nodding. He smiled, "So what's your favorite..."

"Horses..." Damon replied, absently. "I have never ridden one, but I would like to...someday..."

"I like horses...love dolphins though...." He said softly, "Loved Flipper as a kid..."

"All animals are all right with me...but horses are my favorite..." Damon trailed off, staring at the ceiling.

"What else...uh...kids...if you had a kid what would you name him or her..." Rail said.

"I never wanted kids...and I still don't," Damon informed him, softly. He simply couldn't see himself as being a fit parent.

"Huh....I've always wanted a little girl...I'd name her Jasmine..." Rail said softly. "Anyway you ask me a question..."

"I don't think I would be a fit parent..." Damon sighed, scratching his head.

"Really? I think you'd make a great parent…" He said smiling.

"I really don't think I would...I've never raised anything, not even a pet..." Damon mumbled, playing with his fingers.

"Do you want a pet? Gray's been bugging for a puppy…and Ryan wants a snake…" He said softly.
