i finished off the last zombie i was facing,and turned around to see that we had won.the battle was ver,and backup had only just arrived.i walked over th where the girl was."well,arent you boys tardy to the party? it would seem we didnt need backup after all." i smiled and dropped my "sword" i felt weak again."they will have to question me later,i suppose..."i said,as my body fell to the ground from exaution.

I had ran off to attack a Lycan that had a guard in it's mouth. I slashed and grabbed the beasts head knocking it off. Then I stood there covered in its blood. I heard it again, the sweet music calling to me, just over the sea of Lycans that were now rushing towards me. One got me by the nape of my neck and threw me against a building. I lost everything and everything went blank.

The fighting was finally over by the time that the squad got to my trailer. I was starting to feel bad again.
"Sky, go let all the vampires that later I would like to talk to all of them. Tell them about the Major being down as well. Tell them all that they need to report to me in about and hour or so. have Eli come and let me know when they are going to come and see me. Tell them that they are to abandon their weapons before they come into the tent. Period, no ifs ands or buts. The vampire that came in and was in the trailer is to be between the others, that way if she goes to make some kind of move on me Ember and Eli can grab her. I am going to lay down in the medical tent. Make sure that I have at least one guard at all times besides you." With that I walked off towards the medical tent and she walked off to find the vampires.

Gemini falls to the ground next to me and I start to panic a little.
"Gemini. Gemini, are you alright?" I pick her up in my arms and start to carry her away when Sky and another guard approach me.
"Hemora would like to talk to all of you vampires later. The major has been injured and Hemora is now in command."
I sigh with releif when I hear thet Ken is in charge. He would listen to me and let all the other vampires stay.
"You are to report to the medical tent in an hour or so. All weapons are to be left before you enter the tent and the new female vampire is to be in the middle of you and the other female vampire.

"I'll let the others know. We have one more guest with us now, a male. This one I have in my arms is the same vampire from this morning. Her name is Gemini and I neet to get her medical attention immediately. A lycan injured her earlier and she is weak right now."
I walk past Sky towards the medical tent and she follows.

I had just layed down on a cot in the back of the medical tent and had just gotten comfortable when i heard a commotion down the hallway that lead to where I was. I could hear a very familiar voice making all the commotion. I sighed and pulled myself up off the cot. I walk over to my chair and sit down. As soon as I sit down on the chair I hear the voice yell at my guard to stand down, and then I hear footsteps walking back towards me. Seconds later, Captain White busts into my office.
"WHAT DO YOU THINK YOU'RE DOING? Having all the vampires come in here and meet you? Are you trying to get yourself killed?" The Captain yelled at me. I remained calm, Captain White was not someone that you want to lose your temper with.
"Captain, I know what I am doing. There is only one of them that I have not yet had any interactions with yet. And I plan on having the two that I do know making sure that the one that I don't know is retained if she should try to pull anything funny. Now, if it bothers you so bad I would leave now." I had just noticed that Sky had enetered, meaning i assumed that they were at least here in the tent, or at least Eli was. The Captain looked at me, muttered under his breath, and walked out.
"What was that about Sergeant?" Sky asked as soon as White was gone.
"Nothing Sky, it's just Captain White being himself. I take that Eli is back in the tent?"
"Yes Sergeant. She brought the new female vampire back to the tent. She was very weak." I raise my eyebrows some.
"The new female vampire?? There's a male as well?" That worried me a little bit.
"Yes Sergeant, he showed up just before the attack from what I can understand." I thought for a little bit.
"How many Doctors and Nurses made it through the attack in here?"
"Not many Sergeant."
"Go check on the ones that are alive. Make sure that they are all ok. Come back in about 30 minutes and then make sure that I am awake and bring the vampires in." I stood up and went back to my cot.
"Yes Sergeant. I will" She walked out of the office and back out. Maybe this time I can actually get a little nap in.

(Wow... i missed a lot... most of the battle too lolz...)

the battle finished. I laughed when i heard that the soldier, who was now comander from what i hear, realized i was here... its funny. i ve been here for what seems like forever, yet it was only a day. THen i realized, i didnt sense ember here... i sensed her, but not here.
"Shit..." i said under my breath. I thought i noticed lycans leaving the camp, but i didnt notice HER leave the camp.

"DAMMIT" I yelled, knowing that i lost the one thing i was trying to protect. I would find her. I would need to talk to Hemura and the others first, or else we might get killed when we return.

I ran as fast as i could to the medical tent where he was. He was talking to that annoying little... captain thatwas always here. i waited. I was tempted to kill him when he left the tent. I just noddeed to him, as he called me an imbosul. Obviously one person didnt know who i was. THen right away, the woman Sky walked by. I let her go in first. I would wait a bit longer i guess. I walked in when she left.

"Hello. In case you're one of the people that dont know who I am, I'm one of the vampire. Before you say shit, I'm letting you know that Ember, my... friend... got kidnapped by the lycans. I'm chasing her. just wanted you to know." I said, a little ticked off at him, to no apparent reason...

I carry Gemini into the medical tent, having left my weapons with a guard outside. I lay her down on one of the beds and start to tend to her wounds. Using a damp cloth I gently clean off the blood. Sky follows me in and keeps an eye on me and Gemini.

I hear shouting and a man enters the tent and goes into the back where I guessed Ken was. I hear more shouting and then Ken's calm voice. It was about me and the other vampires, as always.

After a few minutes the same man leaves and gives me a look on his way out. Sky walks back to the back and enters the room back there. After a few minutes of talking she exits, talks to some of the doctors and nurses, and then comes to sit on the bed next to the one Gemini was on.

"Why are you so different?" she asks me after a little while of sitting in silence.
"What do you mean?" I ask her, even though I knew what she was asking about.
"I mean, you are a vampire but you don't drink blood or anything like that. You still seem, almost human."

I smile a little and answer. "I don't know why I don't need blood to survive. I guess it was just willpower. I never wanted to become a monster and I could never bring myself to hurt anybody. The smell of human blood made me sick."
"Well from what I've noticed, it doesn't seem to bother you anymore. There is blood everywhere and you aren't sick." she says.

I think for a moment. It was true I wasn't sick like I used to get when I smelled blood, I did feel a little bad though.
"I guess I've kind of gotten used to the smell from being around humans for a while. It still effects me a little, like an upset stomach, but it isn't bad."

More silence follows while I dress Gemini's wounds.

I awoke to growling around me. I opened my eyes and looked around. I had been taken to a cave or something of the sort. Lycans were sleeping all around me, some in human form some not. One walked up to me. "Your awake, good. Are you hurt?" He asked. He was younger about 19, muscular and tanned. "I'm fine, except for my side, I got bit." I sighed feeling the twinge in my side as I sat up.

Felix storm in and I get up to watch him. He was upset about Ember going missing. I hadn't noticed it earlier but i hadn't sensed Ember since the middle of the fight.

"Felix. I'll come with you. I think I know where she might be, or at least who has her. This isn't the first time somebody has tryed to get us. Especially her. Just give me a minute and I'll meet you outside. I would like to talk to Ke- Hemora."

I growled... not wanting to wait to help her... but i obliged. I need to help her, but it would require at least SOME assistance. so i waited, not patiently at all. It was the longest five minutes of my life.

"Ken, Gemini is injured and she is weak. She has vowed not to harm any human in this camp so you don't have to worry about her. Just keep her safe until I get back."

With that i turn to Felix.
"Let's go get Ember back."

"do we leave? Or do we need someone else...?" i asked... i wanted to save ember, and i would go with her alone if ihad to, but it would then be a suicide mission... oh well.. thats what im best at.

The man helped Ember up and dressed her wound. She had to undress and keep her chest wrapped up in gauze. The cavern had been packed with need and things from the world Above. "What is this place?" She asked as he lead her back to her prison. "It's just a place we found. It keeps us safe, we were fighting off Zombies and they ran towards your little area. We were confused by your scent and attacked. My apologizes." He said with a laugh. His name was Robert he told her. He wasn't the pack leader, but he was second in command. The pack leader had been injured during the fight and was being healed.

Eli informed me of Gemini's situation. I decided that I would have SKy take care of her. Eli turned and left. It was hard watching her leave again. After she left I called for Sky and the guard that was standing in the hallway. When they walked in I immedietatly pointed at the guard. He looked shocked, and he had a good reason.
"Private, you failed to do your duty and not let ANYONE in this office. The Captain is one thing, cause he does after all outrank you, but when you let a civilian walk RIGHT PAST you, umm, yea, your fired private. Go tell your squad leader to send me two TRUSTWORTHY privates." The private was upset I could tell, but it was his fault that he got fired. I turned to Sky once he was gone.
"Once his replacements get back, you are to go and take care of Gemini until Eli gets back. If her vital signs start to plumet, you alert a doctor immediatly. Understood?" I knew that I could actually trust Sky, she hasn't failed me yet.
"Yes Sergeant. Will do." She turned around and walked down the hall. I could hear her stop right at the end of the hall and she stood right in the middle. Now MAYBE I can I get some sleep.

"It will be just us. I just need to get a few things." i say to Felix before i disappear for a moment.

I dash to a building in the outside of the city, i had often used it as my home or hiding place. I kept all my weapons i collected here. I grab a few guns and strap them on along with a couple of daggers. I take a sack off a table and fill it with a few more weapons before i turn to leave. Above the door I see my most prized posession, A jeweled sword. I grab it and wrap it in some spare cloth before i take off for the base again.

I stop when i get back to Felix.
"What weapons do you prefer? I have just about everything you could think of." i say with a smile as i lay the sack on the ground.
"After we find Ember, I need to find Leon and Elsa." I hadn't seen them since I put them in the trailer and that was now in pieces. I just hoped they were still alive. I would kill myself if something had happened to Elsa.

first,the sounds came back.there was yelling,and arguing.someone got fired.people were talking about me.thent here were softer sounds,water dripping,hearts beating,heavy breathing.i opened my eyes,a soft light surrounsed me,along with dim colors.the medical tent,i guessed.someone was right outside,gaurding me.i still wasnt trusted.oh well.i deserved that,i suppose.my wounds had been cleaned,and dressed.i tried to sit up,but fell down from the dizziness that came over me."oohhh...my head.i guess i didnt get enough to drink.ouch! ah,stupid lycan,clawing my chest." i guessed the battle was over.i knew we won.i wondered where my new "sister" had gone off to.Eli,did she say? that was her name,i thought.a nice name."i wonder when they'll realize im awake?"

"Before we leave I have something to give to someone. I'm sorry for holding you up... It will only be a minute."

I take the jeweled sword wrapped in cloth and go into the medical tent to check on Gemini. When i enter i see that she is awake.
"Gemini!" i run over to her and gently give her a hug. "I brough you a present."
I hand her the cloth package.
"It is my most prized posession and I want you to have it, as a thank you and as a welcoming gift. I have to leave you for now but I will be back. Ember went missing and Felix and I are going to go get her. If you need anything ask the guards. If anybody doesn't listen, tell me and I will take care of it when I get back." I smile and hug her again before I leave.

I pass Felix and head off into the woods, following Ember's scent.
"Let's go."

i stay calm while she speaks.i absorb every word,commiting it to memory.after she leaves,i look down at the cloth-wrapped object she gave me."her modt prized possesion? but why give it to me? she barely knows me..." i felt a warmth in my chest,something i hadnt felt in a long time.happiness? i was happy.i unwrapped the cloth to reveal a beautifull jeweled blade.i held it up,examining it with wonder.the craftsmanship was impeccable,it was beautifully made,and perfect of length and weight."wow.this is...amazing.i promise to treasure it forever." i re-wrapped it and made sure it was safe.i was not letting anyone take this away,no matter what.i swore that it would still be in perfect condition when she got back."now,i just have to wait for the interrogation..." i sighed.this was going to be a long night.

I had been sleeping for a quite a while when Sky came in and woke me up.
"Sergeant, you should prolly at least come and interrogate this vampire that is here now. She seems like she could really use someone to talk to. I tried talking to her and it doesn't really seem like she wants to talk to me, and she brought up you coming to talk to her." I didn't really want to get out of the cot, it was actually one of the ones that was really nice and comfortable. But I finally decided that I would. It was the perfect time to talk to her. I made sure that my uniform was all nice and straightened up. Then I walked out into the medical tent. There were still cleaning up the mess from the attack. Gemini was in her own little area. I walked over to her. I pulled a chair over and sat down next to her.
"Gemini, my name is Staff Sergeant Hemora, or just Hemora if you like. I am now the commander of all the military personnel in this unit. I would like to hear the story of what happened to you. This will help me begin to understand what you have been through, and I know that this sounds kinda pathetic, but I can help if I know what happened. So please, tell me about yourself." I held out my hand as I finished off. I was hoping that I had struck the right impression with her. All I could now was wait.

i jumped a bit as he came in.i waited for him to finish talking.i sighed.i had known this was coming."alright.heres how it is.im 18,i came here from ireland to become a bigtime actress.i had a boyfriend who died from the disease.i was turned into a vampire,even though i hate it.ive been on the run since a couple of kids put this scar on me right after the plague struk.they thought it would be funny to mark a vampire with a cross.after that i got a letter saying that both my parents had died i an accident,so i have no family left." i turned my face so he could see the cross-shaped scar on my left cheek."i came here tonight because i am pathetic.i have tried to live off animal blood,but it doesnt work.i tried to stop drinking altogether,and found myself almost dead.thats how i came here.i smelled humans,and in my weakened state,i thought mabey i could take one.however,i fainted on the way in.when i woke up,i was in that trailer,all tied up.i sensed a hybrid disgused as a human,and tried to call for someone.a girl came in and talked to me,then left.then the battle started.i fought because i wanted to make up for trying to sneak in.the girl,eli,said i could stay.i dont know if thats true,but it would be nice.ive sworn to protect everyone here with my life.she gave me this" i motioned to the wrapped sword in my lap."i already think of her as a sister.she said she trusted me,and to tell her if i got any trouble.i dont intend to cause trouble,or impose on anyone.thats all.i know the wrongs i have committed,and i admit to them.you may do with me as you see fit."

"You can stay. Unlike some of the other officers here I actually care about other people. The only reason that you will be removed from this camp is if you lose control and hurt someone badly. I will have to remove you if that does happen. Now, just relax. Sky here is going to help take care of you until Eli gets back. have a nice nap." I walked away. Sky sat down in the chair i had just been in and started talking to her. I got back to the office and sat down again in my chair there. I looked out the windows of the tent and just watched the people working on cleaning up the slaughterhouse that was outside all over.

I had laughed when Eli asked what my weapon of choice was. I thought back when i was a normal vampire. It was my shotgun. i no longer had it, but since i was a hybrid now, i used... either my fists, or zombies... intresting. what would she think of that if i told her that...

"zombies is my main weapon. i can control them. sort of. if there arnt any of them, my fists."

she soon left, but returned. I was still in the same spot, unmoving.

we left.

"What's your weapon of choice?" I asked her. since she asked me, i wanted to know hers.

I smile and let out a little laugh.
"That's interesting that you can control zombies. They are mindless anyways, but I suggest you take a weapon for where we are going. I smell werewolves."

Felix asks me what my choice weapon is and I think for a second. I loved all my weapons, that's why I collected them.
"I can use any weapon from guns to swords. I prefer a bow and arrows though. It's light, silent, and perfect for distance. For close range I would have to go with daggers because they can be easily hidden." I had my favorite bow slung around my chest. The wood was a deep brown with engravings in it. The arrows were in a leather case strung around my back.

Bows and arrows? intresting. What WOULD i use...

"Do you happen to have katars? Japanese weapons. I used to use a pair when i was human..." I looked off into the distance

"I collected weapons of all kinds. Check the sack, i might have thrown some in, if not then they are at my storehouse." I tell felix when he asks for a specific kind.
