Lost kept his eyes closed, hugging Isis close. It was a few moment later when he frowned, peering into the water. The reflection there was not his own, nor the one that belonged to Isis, but Calla's. When he looked closer, the image seemed to motion to him.
"Do you see that?" he whispered, afraid to scare the picture away.

((Bah, short. :XD))

Isis was so into the warmth coming from the doll next to her that she almost missed his question. She looked at him. "Huh?" She looked down at the water, she blinked in surprise at what she saw, nodding slightly in response. "...Calla..." She said softly, resisting the urge to reach out and touch the reflection. This couldn't be a dream, not if both of them were seeing the same thing.

((Don't worry about it.))

[[Hi guys! Sneakin on in here >.> Sorry I haven't posted til now >.<]]
Seraphina and Leon were in a corner of the house, Seraphina sitting on the gruond and drawing while Leon leaned against the wall, staring off into space. After a moment, Sera stood, rising on thin, long legs.
"Hey, brother, lets go explore," she said, dancing in her small ballerina flats. "I don't want to sit still."
"Are you sure you're up for it," he asked, frowning a little. She giggled, smiling.
"Come on, worry wort, I'm fine." She took his hand and began to walk ahead, dragging Leon behind her as he tried to hide a smile.

((Don't stress over it. Take your time, I don't mind. And it really is great that there is at least someone else. Not that I wasn't enjoying the one on one, but I mean having more people join in will add a little something to the plot.))

[[D'aww, I feel so special :insert big dorky grin: Yeah, they're siblings, Leon being the older and Seraphina the younger. And don't worry about me, I'm just truckin' along here.]]

((Coolness. :D))

Lost shook his head as the image faded. "We are seeing this for a reason," the doll said quietly, running a dark hand through Isis' hair. "Mother should know." Letting out a cough, he looked back toward the house. It would be a month before the woman returned. Hopefully things wouldn't get worse before then.

Zarrah let out a sigh. She had been inside all day, and it was killing her. The blue-haired doll moved to stand outside, letting the sun filter about her. When she saw two other dolls, she was tempted to ignore them . . . but they seemed nice enough. Grudgingly remembering Mother's words, she shuffled over to stand near Leon and Seraphina.
"Hi."
A bout of awkward silence followed as the skinny doll stared at her shoes, the sky, and the distant horizon.

Isis felt a littlw twnge in her heart as the image faded away. A small part of her didn't want her sister to disappear, but it didn't take long for Isis to get over it. She nodded. "This time mother has to say something. She just has to." Isis said, laying her head on his shoulder once again. Isis didn't know if she would be able to wait an entire month.

Seraphina turned and offered the girl a bright, cheery smile, Leon nodding his head in acknowledgement. "Oh, hello," Seraphina said. "Why are you standing here by yourself?"
"Seraphina, people do that sometimes," he said with a chuckle, nudging her with his elbow (Which hit the top of her shoulder; he was a bit taller then her.) "Hi, I'm Leon, and this is my sister Seraphina." He held out a hand to her, a kind, somewhat sad smile on his face.

Lost closed his eyes, enjoying the feel of Isis leaning against him for many minutes. After a while, he couldn't help but stroke her back. "Want to finish our book?" he asked, reffering to the story that Mother had left for them. It had been carefully placed in his room, and the dark-haired doll suddenly felt like reading again - especially if it meant spending more time with Isis.

Zarrah narrowed her eyes warily, and she met Leon's hand with her own. Since hers was so tiny and skinny, the male's encompassed hers completely. The blue-haired woman forced herself to stay where she was instead of walking away, but she was starting to feel a bit curious.
"Zarrah," she introduced herself, attempting a weak smile. It ended up more like a grim expression, but it was worth the try.

Isis' eyes lit up at the thought of reading. "That sounds great." She said as she lifted her head from his shoulder. Isis didn't mind at all, it meant spending more time with Lost. She really did love him, and she was a little affraid of losing him again, sos he would take whatever she could get. Isis thought of Zarrah at that moment. She wondered how she was getting along with the other dolls. Isis knew it was difficult for the Others since this environment was quite different rfom their own. It saddened Isis a little at how much the dolls from the house were making it difficult. But, that was nothing she could do to change that. "Shall we go?"

Leon squeezed her hand briefly, then let it go, not wanting to make anyone feel uncomfortable. "Zarrah is a pretty name," he said simply. Seraphina nodded enthusiastically, standing a bit behind her brother.
"Were you going to go outside? It's a really nice day out."
"Seraphina, calm down," Leon said, patting her hair affectionately.

Lost gently pulled Isis from the fountain, catching her in his strong arms with ease. He carried the woman to the door before setting her on her own two feet, taking her hand instead. It wasn't long before they reached the room under the stairs. Slipping inside, Lost shut the door behind them, his black eyes lingering on the handle.
Motioning toward the bed, Lost let Isis pick a spot to sit while he went to pull the large book over. Sitting beside her, the doll manuvered the tome into their laps, flipping it slowly open to the spot they had last left off. Hesitantly wrapping an arm about Isis' shoulders, he began to read. Slowly at first, but more quickly as he fell into the story. This time, they wouldn't be interrupted
.

Zarrah narrowed her eyes warily, glancing about as though expecting a trick. "I don't know where I'm going," she stated, her blue eyes flickering from one doll to the other. "Do you have any good places to go around here? Back home we have the pond. And the forest. And the glade." The skinny woman seemed to deflate a bit, but cleared up quickly when she remembered that she was in someone else's presense.

Isis smiled, blushing as he carried her to the door. She had never realised how strong Lost actually was. She took his hand as he led her to his room under the stairs. Once there she made herself comfortable on his bed as she waited for him, She was so happy to have a chance to finish the book. It didn't take long before Isis was completely lost to the pages of the book, leaning ever so slightly into Lost.

"We actually haven't explored much," Leon said, rubbing the back of his head. "Sera wanted to go outside, I think."
"Actually, I'm kind of hungry now," Seraphina said. "Is it ok if I go to the kitchen?"
"Sure," Leon said with a shrug. Sera smiled, waved goodbye, then skipped off, humming a song. Leon turned to Zarrah, suddenly feeling awkward. "Uh... would you like to accompany me outside," he asked awkwardly, his hand still at the back of his head.

((We should figure something out for them to do until they see Mother again. :P))

Lost wrapped an arm about Isis, pulling her to him. It felt wrong not to have her by his side. Continuing through the story, the dark-skinned doll leaned back against the wall behind them, shifting the book to set more comfortably with them.

Zarrah watched Sera leave, and then turned her blue eyes back to Leon. Seeing him so awkward made her smile. "I would love to look around a bit," she said. "I saw a pond not too far from here. Want to go see it?"
She felt better around one person instead of two - and this made her feel a bit strange, but she could handle it.

Seraphina entered the kitchen and immediately rummaged through the cabinets, looking for a snack. She had one thing in mind- well, anything strawberry-flavored, really.

Leon sighed inwawrdly, relieved. "I'd be honored," he said, before stepping over and opening the door, holding it open for her. "If you're ready," he said quiestioningly, blue eyes watching her curiously.

(What did you have in mind? Should be time skip to a few weeks before she comes back or just figure out something they could do?)
Isis smiled when he put his arm around her. She leand agaisnt him as he pulled her closer. She closed her eyes for a second and sighed happily before turning her attention back to the book. Lost made it difficult for her to concentrate. As he leaned back, Isis followed and continued to read.

((Perhaps. :P Lost has been "ill" in a sort of sense for the entire thread. But maybe Isis gets strangely sick or something that makes Lost panic enough to contemplate looking for Mother? >_>' Something that will get their happiness broken. *laugh* So cruel . . . ))

Life watched the other doll absent-mindedly, his own thoughts elsewhere. Leaning his head on his white-sleeved arms, the pale doll closed his eyes. He didn't much care what happened around the house anymore. At this moment, he was still mourning the sudden loss of Selma.
When he opened his eyes again, he saw Seraphina rummaging about in the cupboards. Wanting to feel useful again, the former Party Prep slowly lifted himself off of the table. "What are you looking for?"

Lost kept his eyes on the story, but he had to re-read multiple lines. It was awfully hard to read when your mind was elsewhere - such as locked on Isis. After finishing a few pages (taking much longer than normal to complete a page), the dark-skinned doll gave up on reading, and let his black eyes rest on Isis herself. His gaze was soft as he watched her read, and he gave her a gentle sqeeze. Both of his lean arms were wrapped about her waist, keeping her next to him as though she might get up and run away. Honestly, it was something he feared. Lost didn't want her to disappear, to think wrongly of him . . . to leave him. He had finally found someone, and for the first time, he was desperate to keep her with him.
His shaggy black hair fell in front of his dark eyes as he shifted to allow a more comfortable resting place for Isis - mainly in his lap.

Rolling her blue eyes at her own forwardness, Zarrah reached forward and grasped Leon's hand, not even bothering to look at his expression as she did so. Despite her skinny appearance, the "Other" was rather strong.
Pulling her new aquaintance along, the blue-haired woman headed in the direction she remembered the pond being. "Have you ever seen it?" she asked when they were nearing their destination. "Have you been there already?"
Even with her sometimes put-off or gruff attitude, Zarrah was curious. After all . . . she knew there were other dolls, but this was the first time she'd seen any of them.

Isis was having trouble concentrating as well. She continued to think of Lost while reading, causing her to look at the same words over and over again. She felt safe in his arms as he held her to his side. If she could, she would never leave his side. Not ever. She looked up from the page when he shifted her to sit in his lap. Turning her head to glance at him, Isis smile softly and kissed his cheek. She knew he was insecure about her leaving him, but she never would. Not now.

The expression of contentment that spread across Lost's face was complete, and he rested his head on top of Isis'.

((Erm. Brain fart. :XD Can't think of what to write.
Do you think Isis should get sick or hurt to the point of needing help?))

((Haha, brain fart. I haven't heard that one in a while. That's fine with me. Either an illness or being hurt could work.))
Isis smiled and closed her eyes. Since they had come back from saving mother, Isis had felt strange. She hadn't said anything because she hadn't wanted to worry Lost, but Isis was starting to think that she was coming down with something.
