"Well, we can train in small groups while the other watch, unless another Elder shows up, and Tellyah, that is what you were taught but you must try and forget it, it will be hard at first, but it can be done"

Zen spoke up "Rin will you join us?"

"Well this makes things rather difficult now doesnt it!?" Anna asked as she contemplated the full extent of the companys knowlege. "Well i guess we should probably go and find them!" She said with a small sigh and a smile.

Melrose huffed and listened to Master El. "So we need to pick a partner?" She asked looking around before Sam asked her. "Um, sure!" The girl replied with a smile and looked up at him, though he was three years younger he was a bit taller then her. Her old friends at the orphanage used to her her she wasnt short, but "fun sized". It walways made her feel better yet seeing as the 12 year old was a bit tall for his age helped. "You element if earth right?"


Kaeryn listened to the two of them with a small smile on her face.

"We should split up, unlikely combinations would work best, cause if the Elders know we are coming they would expect easy combos for a first move so lets go" said Frank thinking looking at the four of them "two North, and the other two South"

Ink yawned,"Hurry up I wanna start soon!" She sat on the ground and started sharpening her scythe a bit. She really couldn't grasp the fact that she was light, but she really didn't care, as long as she got to spar with her new abilities.

Tellyah twirled the water and said to herself. "I wonder if I-" she began to move her hands apart. The water became a thin spiraling ribbon; she laughed, and brought her hands back - forming and orb again. "I can manipulate water, right Master El? Because water is in a liquid state and therefore takes whatever form it is given space for. Can I change the state of water?" Tellyah moved her hands apart again forming the ribbon, letting go of the control with her left hand the ribbon of water snaked out into a whip-like form. Tellyah was surprised she could still control it. She pretended she was holding a whip, and watched the water move as if it was one. She looked at Ink, who was sitting on the ground, as lashed the whip in her direction - smiling when she her it snap. "Sorry about that." she said to Ink. "Just getting in touch with my inner child and playing a bit."

Ink flinched a bit when the whip snapped,"Loud." She then started to analyze Telleyah.
"Let me see if I can make an illusion of you Tell," She said

Tellyah smiled at the nickname - something she hadn't heard in 8 years. She coiled the whip so it became a ball in her hand again. "Sure." she said standing very still. "I wonder how you do it. Do you bend the light so it doesn't reflect off of skin?" Tellyah looked at Master El, then back at Ink. "Go for it." she said smiling.

Ink tried to make her but only her head came out, she almost got it perfect but the feet still wouldn't show up clearly,"Almost got it!" She said as she got ready to make another one.

Tellyah spun out her whip - something that seemed easy now - and made it crack again. "Try again, Ink." she said to the girl. "It's the only way we're going to get better. Right Master El?" Tellyah aimed her whip towards the table, and watched the coil wrap around a glass delicately. She pulled back hard and the glass flew off the table and crashed into the wall, leaving a a splatter of liquid that reminded Tellyah of blood. "This just started getting interesting. Master El? Can I control other liquids, or just water?"

Ink huffed after she failed for the 10th time.
"Maybe if I...." She tried molding a ball of light in her hands, then she threw it up into the air. The ball of light then projected a perfect replica of Telleyah, the illusion waved a Telleyah and grinned.

Anna blushed deeplywhen Fred mentioned making partners. She had a full length day dream flash through her head in seconds, but with a simple shak of her head she expelled the thoughts stood waiting for fred to pick who he wanted as a partner.

If i go and quickly choose a partner he'll think i dont like him, but if i decide to go with him then he will get suspicious(msp). ohhhhh! She thought still blushing quite a bit.

"Hmm.... Maybe you can't change me." Tellyah said to Ink. "Or aren't supposed to. After all, my element isn't light, so it only makes sense that light doesn't cooperate with me well." Tellyah coiled the whip into a ball again. "It seems like everything we do starts with an orb. Or... or a globe." An Idea came to Tellyah's mind. "Like the Earth." she looked at Sam briefly, then towards Master El. "Protectors of the Earth."

Ink grinned and the illusion disappeared,"Well I don't want to go too far into illusions, but I'm gonna work hard until I can use light to make people look differently!" Ink clapped her hands together,"From now on I'll work hard to master this!"

Tellyah looked back at Ink. "You're a fighter - you know how well camouflage is. I think what you're doing will help us greatly." Tellyah had found hope, she realized as she scanned the room of kids. The hope she felt only made her heart believe more - even though every thought in her head was telling her to walk, to run, away. For once she ignored her mind and unlocked the belief in her child's heart. The ball of water in her hand froze into a solid ball of clear ice. "Wow. This is what happens when you throw logic out the window." She laughed tossing the ball into the air and catching it again. The weight reminded her of a softball and before logic could stop her she called out. "Hey Ink! Think fast!" and threw the froze orbs at the girl.

Ink grabbed her scythe and sliced it in half,"Whoops wrong end!"

Tellyah quickly formed another orbs and froze it. "Wanna play some baseball while we wait? I'll pitch." Tellyah looked around, remembering that they were in fact, still in a dining room. She looked at El. "Or maybe that's not the best idea." she mumbled.

Ink grinned,"I wanna see what else I can do with Light.~"

"Why don't we spar?" Tellyah said to Ink. "It seems like a good thing to do. It will help us learn each others battle styles. Knowing that we'll fight better as a group." Tellyah "uncoiled" her whip again, and cracked it once to the side, then once over her head. "Try to make a weapon with light, like I do with water." That made Tellyah think. If I can make a whip, I wonder what else I can make. She rubbed her throbbing head, just now noticing the beginning headache. She spun the whip near the ground, making a loop. She jumped in it and pulled it up so it was circling her knees, then she raised it to circe her waist, then quickly switching her hold, let it circle around her head before snapping it towards the ceiling.

Ink sighed,"What can you make with light?" She make a few orbs of light and they circled her head,"Light can only do so much."

Something blinked ((no pun intended)) in Tellyah's head and she laughed. "Lightning." she said. "It's the most powerful form of light, isn't it?" She looked at Rin, then back to Ink. "Hotter than fire." she smiled, and motioned towards herself. "More unpredictable than the seas." Thinking quick she caught Sam's eyes and said "It can destroy earth in seconds." then she turned to Melrose "It slashes through air like nothing." then to Zen. "And sends darkness running." At last her eyes fixed on Master El. "Yes, Ink." she said. "Light can only do so much. But without light, how would we be able to see?"

Ink grinned evily,"Oh yeah, thanks for reminding me!" She then stuck a pocky in her mouth,"But I need something that'll conduct it....."

Tellyah grinned sheepishly and said. "That is where my thought process come to a staggering halt." She formed another ball of water, having let the previous one freeze and smash on the floor. "I never took high school chemistry." she threw the sloshing ball into the air and caught it again. "I've worked in a fish factory for the past eight years. I've never been to any form of secondary school." Tellyah sighed. "Kind of lame that the oldest one is the one that never learned anything. Don't get me wrong, I can read and write. But that was mandatory if I wanted a job. I can do simple math in my head, but I don't know anything above basic algebra." She let the ball freeze again. "However, if it comes to a swimming race, I'm a faster than a fish. I spent my whole life in the water; learned to swim before I learned to walk." she laughed. "But that's enough about my past. I don't want to bore anyone." Tellyah sat back down in her chair eying her empty plate. I haven't eaten in a long time either. But that's nothing they need to be concerned about.

"Mmmm....." Was Ink's reply,"Maybe I can use the ring!" She put her fingers about 3 inches away from each other, and visible sparks flashed, Ink's eyes sparkled as she did it repeatedly.

Tellyah was to busy concentrating on the emptiness of her plate to notice Ink anymore. We've had our fun, Ink. she thought. Now about the others... She looked around the room. I wonder what they can do.
