[[ Good luck on those exams! And don't hurry yourself; I am alright with waiting, but wanted to make sure you all knew I was still around, and that you were too. :3 ]]

((Thanks, Dirt Man! :) ))

From the personal journal of Emma Sayers

Year 0, Day 17, Post-Storm

I'm back in my cell, but I have my things. Not my car, but the rest of it. I don't think I'm a prisoner anymore. I must have played my part well yesterday: that of a helpless, injured girl in the middle of what might have been a diner before the Storm. My wardens needed me to trick their rivals into an ambush, distract them from the real treasure. Canned tomatoes, mostly, along with some pickles, and a few tins of anchovies.

Come to think of it, maybe it was a pizza parlor. It really doesn't matter. I have some new cuts and bruises, but I got away with my life. And a treasure of my own, hidden carefully away in my bag.

If I can make myself part of this group, really earn their trust, then maybe they will let me go. Something to work on tomorrow.

--

A sharp, almost metallic sound echoed loudly through the ruins. Emma inhaled quickly, and held her breath. Deer-like, she stared in the direction she believed the sound had come from, and froze. Another sound like that, and she'd be gone. Already, she was poised to run for whatever cover she could find.

Assuming this wasn't an ambush. If it was, she’d have to fight instinct, stand her ground, and defend the girl. Or would she do that anyway? She doubted it. Her knife was out, she realized, her backpack on her back, and she was ready to escape, to leave the dog to defend Stephanie.

((Wow, sorry I haven't been on a lot, guys. Life's hitting me pretty hard atm. If I promise to be on first thing the morning of the 15th, do you all mind if, for my stories, we put this on hold for a week. I have work, medical bills, and finals all stacked on my brother fighting a felony charge no one but the legal system feels he deserves.

Can you forgive me, this once?))

((wow, my god, you all don't know how hard it was for me to get back in character. I'm posting a reply to Issac, now, but if you needed to ask me something, or I have other peoples stories to do, as well, let me know.))

The Raider wasn't nearly fast enough to dodge the hit, and doubled over with the blow, letting out a cry of pain.

The smaller raider turned towards the noise, drawing his gun, and Mordecai pulled the trigger. His rifle rung out, taking the raider off at the shoulders as the raiders near the trucks gasped, then collapsed, his limp arm over the wound. The big guy turned, confused, then let out a loud roar as the hefted the Pick-axe and Hammer, then charged Mordecai, who leapt back with spear in hand, ready to go toe to toe with the brute. As me moved back, he called, "Isaac, get whatever's in the train loaded into the truck! I'll keep this one busy!"

((Right, sounds good Fading. Unless she's against this, in which case, she'll have to say something finally, she didn't find us yet, so instead of her being in the shed, Sarah asks you to help her bury her dead love. Whether you do or not, or wait till it gets later, since it's about noon now, Sarah would head to the main house to rest a little, and finally eat something.))

Sarah walked slowly into the house, sitting down in a stable enough looking chair. She looked up at you, wondering if you'd come to a decision on helping her. She wasn't sure she could bury her lost husband in her condition.

((Okie dokie~))

Seeing the look on Sarah's face, Rachel gave a snort.

"Don't look at me like that, I've allowed you to come with me, isn't that enough to tell you that I'm helping?" Besides, she couldn't stand the lost puppy look. Denying help would only make her feel guilty later on, and Rachel hated feeling guilty.

"You look famished. This house here seems to have some food left, what'd you like? It's mostly canned stuff...I've got pickles, jam, sardines, and some pineapple." She said, going through the pile she'd discarded from the cabinet earlier. Still no water though, but maybe the juice from the pineapple cans could make do for a while....

((Do I just jump in?))

Ava Vade walked across the street, looking at the houses carefully. She was hungry and running low on supplies. She took her gun from the holster that went around her torso under her shirt. She saw movements and debated going in. She decided she would, even if that meant putting herself in danger. A lot lately it was hard to feel emotions unless she was doing something dangerous or risky.
"I'm ready to rumble," she said under her breath and, crouching, slowly inched her way towards the house.

((She's going to the house that Sarah and Rachel are in.))

Ezekiel let out a small, human sigh at the sight of a knife. He still wasn't quite used to people pulling these things on him ▬ his group had always taken the easy prey, he realised now ▬ but his surprise only made him more defensive. Being on the top of a building's remains, he could only be defensive to a certain point, and that point had almost been reached.

As quickly as he could, Ezekiel jumped up to a kneeling position. He snatched something metallic from his pocket and brandished it so that it glinted in the light, torn deciding what to say.

"Stand down," he told the girl. Hoping she trusted enough to take his word, he added "I ain't gonna hurt you."He wasn't so sure about her, anyway, so he remained where he was.

((hope this works, been a while))

He wanted to let the kid know he had done well but things had to happen quickly or things could get really messy. Issac heard Mordecai's order and went for the train quickly saying, "Common kid we gotta hurry." Now that the raiders were either down or busy Issac moved quickly to haul the stuff from the train to the truck. He still kept his eyes open but made sure to get as much stuff as he could.
