"Ok." Meriel nodded, smiling at Kiwi and hugging him from behind. "kiiii..." she murmured.

Seeing the tables turned, the three boys glowered but hesitated, backing up. Gavin of course burt out laughing. "Deadly, foxy, funny, and a good gambler? Well shit if it ain't the perfect dream girl!"

"Y-you wouldn't dare! That's just a toy, or unloaded. Besides,a lady can't shoot or aim. That's probably just a prop to scare low class boys from jumping you."

Kiwi kept her shielded, watching the situation with amusement.

Deckle raised an eyebrow. "You want a demonstration?"

She dug in her pocket and pulled out her silencing equipment. It took her a moment to attach it to her pistol. It was already loaded, of course. She glanced around and found an empty, slightly crushed soda can on the deck, which she promptly scooped up.

Deckle tossed it into the air above them, aimed, and shot with perfect precision. The silencer made the shot sound like a faint 'pssh.' Nonetheless, the can above them was obliterated, and tiny aluminum scraps littered down gently on them.

She blew the smoke coming from the tip of the gun away, grinning. "Think a lady can't shoot, eh?"

At this, Gavin lost it, hooting with laughter at the young men and clapping in amazement and approval of Deckle's extremely impressive demonstration. He had found a perfect woman, and he'd be dammned to let the chance of courting her go by. "Splendid! Absolutely delightful!"

Meriel watched, looking at Kiwi in a question. "What's that?" she pointed to the gun, wanting to know what to call the strange item.

"You got lucky, now be greatful we're in good moods today. and you." snapped the haughty boy. "Should keep your stupid wench on a leash." With this, they turned to walk off.

Kiwi glanced at the gun. "Uh...that is a gun. It's not a very good thing...it can kill and injure. But it is useful to have if you're in danger."

Deckle chuckled. "I can always find them later. With my paintball gun. That isn't deadly, but it sure is fun to play around with! And I won't be put in jail for firing it at them."

"I'd pay to see that show." Gavin snickered as they ran off, giving Deckle a thumbs up. "So anyway, never got to ask you, what's your girlfriends name? Introduce us to her stupid."

Meriel blinked, not knowing what killing or kill meant, but it sounded bad. "Kii..?"

The twins scowled at the attention generated by that....female!

"I told you already..." Kiwi grumbled, not wanting to deal with drama from those twins at all, "...she's not my girlfriend." He glanced over at the twins quickly and pointedly, so that Gavin could see what he was trying to avoid.

Deckle stretched her arms out, seeming quite amused. She could see that those twins were awfully jealous of any female paying attention to Kiwi, or any female who was even near him. So, to be irritating, she jutted her hips out and stood there, looking both attractive and seductive.

Gavin grinned, loving Deckle's idea, not that he hadn't already been thinking along the same lines. "Aw, no worries man, no need to be so shy. She seems nice, now hurry up and introduce us you nucklehead!" Gavin placed an arm around his best friend's shoulder, grinning as he proceeded to be, well, an ass. Gavin had no shame in being irritating.

The twins started to walk over, or at least, the first one did. Making Gavin even more estatic.

"I don't understand..." Meriel said softly, holding onto Kiwi's sleeve.

Kiwi's eyelids droop. "Man, knock it off. Really...I don't want to deal with any drama. If you want to get to know Meriel, you should go get a table in the dining hall and talk to her. But use simple words, please...she doesn't know a lot of English."

He patted Meriel on the head. "These are friends of mine. They just like to tease me. If you want to make friends with them, you can go to that hall I sent you to before and talk to them.

Deckle grinned as the twins started walking over. She wouldn't be too amused if drama started, though, and she nudged Gavin, muttering, "I don't think it'd be a good idea to prolong this. Snooty rich girls mean even snootier rich fathers. Whaddya say we take Mer out to the dining hall and get to know her?"

With a dramatic sigh, Gavin relented. "Oh all right all right. You have a point. But you, my drama hating friend, are coming with us now, no more flirting with AIDS now eh?" Gavin took Deckle's hand and Kiwi's shoulder, motioning for Meriel to follow. The girl obliged, smiling, but a puzzled look on her face.

Kiwi frowned, looking weary. "If you take me away, then the drama will start," he replied boredly.

Deckle stretched, ignoring him. She'd leave it up to Gavin--she didn't really care either way, as the long as the drama didn't involve her.

"C'mon man, they won't follow without getting dressed right? You don't want an STD or a lousy lay right? C'mon, I'm your friend, and I know, that those two, are trouble for you, they are no good, now march soldier!" Gavin insisted, getting behind Kiwi and pushing with both hands.

To try and avoid drama, Kiwi made it look like Gavin was obviously forcing him to leave and made sure the twins saw that. So the drama would go to Gavin instead.

Deckle snickered, walking along willingly.

"Run boy run! Head for the hills!" Gavin hollered at his friend, pushing him faster and running from the twins, grinning in triumph. Motioning to Deckle, he indicated that she should pull Meriel along too and escape before the twins could catch on or get to them.

Again, to try and avoid drama, Kiwi still made it look like this was all forced.

Deckle chuckled and helped Meriel along quickly. "This way, girlie."

"Girlie? Kiii?" Meriel followed, watching Kiwi with confusion as Gavin dragged the uncooperative male along until they reached the dining hall.

Kiwi grumbled. He hate, hate, hated drama and often did everything in his power to avoid it. "It's an affectionate term for girl," he informed Meriel wearily.

Deckle helped Meriel along, watching Kiwi's almost pouty expression with amusement.

Meriel nodded, trying to figure it out. "Girlfriend?" she asked, pointing to Deckle before Gavin shook his head once they got to the back with a big booth. "No no, see, it's something someone, usually a guy, says to a girl when she's special, more special than others to him." he tried.
Looking to an irate Kiwi, the young man nudged him. "Man, it's a wonder she learned any English at all with your vague, unspecific explanations."

"Blame that on the internet," Kiwi informed him. "I used something online to help teach her."

Deckle watched all of this, leaning on Gavin boredly.

Gavin shook his head. "Well you gotta make up for the lack of knowledge the computer has." Smiling delightedly, he wrapped his arms around Deckle's shoulders, letting her lean.

The pose looked nice, so Meriel mimicked Deckle's gesture by leaning on Kiwi's shoulder.

Kiwi let her lean, also wrapping an arm around her. "Yeah, I guess so. I've been trying my best."

Deckle leaned, watching the situation. "Technology hates us all."

"Well, that works. She learns fast. So, tell us about her mate." Gavin asked again, idly playing with a strand of Deckle's hair. Chuckling at her comment, he nodded in agreement. "True that."

Meriel sighed happily, smiling at the feel of Kiwi's arm around her shoulder. "Kiiii......I like...." she mumbled.

"Well..." Kiwi studied her, realizing for the first time that he didn't know all that much about her.

He couldn't really tell them how he'd actually found her...for one, Gavin wouldn't believe him--he thought Deckle might. "I don't really know what to say..." He kept the arm around her shoulders, smiling at her.

Deckle seemed to sense he was hiding something--she grinned rather knowingly, slinging one of her legs over the other.

"I smell a big lie coming on."

"Lie?" Meriel wondered, tilting her head curiously.

Gavin looked curiously as well. "Oh? You can read my buddy bud allready? Funny, I'm kinda unsure so far, what makes you think he's gonna lie?" Gavin arched a brow before turning to face the other male.

"What exactly do you mean Kiwi? She follows you like a puppy, you let her sleep in your room, in your bed, and you are teaching her....surely you know something? And where did you meet her? And...why does she keep saying 'kii'? Does it mean something?"

Meriel smiled at Kiwi, repeating his name as Gavin said it. "I like Kiwi."

Kiwi shifted a bit, somewhat uncomfortable. He kept his arm around her, though. He opened his mouth immediately to, just as Deckle said, lie. Finally, he sighed, relenting. He muttered out to Gavin how he had really found her, and everything. "I can prove it if you want me to...just need to get level with some water."

Deckle raised an eyebrow. "Huh. So he didn't lie after all. I thought he would." She glanced at Gavin. "I'm talented at profiling people. I can tell when someone's lying."

Gavin was somewhat skeptical, but knew his friend had no reason to lie. Besides, the world was full of strange things, there's no reason it was impossible. "Well dude, that's an interesting way to meet a girl, but it works as well as any. If you and the missy have no objections, I'd like to see her for real." Gavin requested before turning to smile at Deckle.

"Man oh man woman, is there anything you Can't do?" he grew more and more intrigued and impressed by his lady friend each moment. "Damn am I glad Kiwi told me about you."

"W-what did you call me?" Meriel asked Kiwi, not really knowing what humans called her kind.
