Eeek! I envy those who can make clothing and enjoy it. Do you sew for your own wardrobe? The most difficult thing I've ever sewn was a pair of bib overalls one time. ONE TIME! Never again. Hahaha! I made a long halter dress for myself one time too. It had issues, but overall, it looked very nice.
What kinds of paintings do you do? Mine are mostly outsider - primative types. Occasionally (is that spelled correctly?!), I'll do something whimsical. I am shy about taking my stuff to farmers market though, since they are not paintings I think people will really 'get'. But then I haven't been in the mood for painting for a while now.
Embroidering - I used to enjoy that. I can't remember what I did though, at the moment, other than little pictures on the back of baby's training paints. LOL! Oh - yeah - I remember. I was embroidering on fabrci squares with the idea of incorporating them into a quilt. Well, THAT never got done. I would love to have some embroidered pillowcases.
Start Date - March 23, 2014
Progress - 1 out of 25
Current - finishing up a baby afghan (crochet)
Coming Up - A striped infinity scarf (unless I find yet another unfinished project in my yarn cabinet!)

yeah i have sewn dresses and skirts mostly. I have plans for a dress for halloween, and I started a vest many moons ago but have yet to finish it... and I have made a corset or two... and i have plans for making a sweet lolita shirt... but i need to use stretchy fabric in order for it to fit me right because im an unusual size and incredibly difficult to fit property up top without stretchy fabric.
I am constantly creating and working on new projects and learning new skills. i love to make things and learn new ways of making things. I always want to wear the most fanciful and glamorous things... but i find myself having to make it in order for it to fit me. Someday I will make an avatar outfit and wear it and have my avatar wearing the same thing and take pictures.
start date: March 1st
progress: 0 out of 25
currently working on:
-embroidery fish for my nephew
-crochet bustle skirt
-magic pillow quilted
plans:
two halloween dresses - sylveon for myself and zubat for my friend.
lolita blouse
victorian jacket

Oh, wow! So many very cool and very ambitious projects! I just want to give you a big old squeeze for being so talented! Hahaha! Honestly, it makes me happy to see someone else's enthusiasm in their crafting.
Sewing... I did forget to mention, that I found a skirt in my closet that I started several years ago and didn't finish. It is just a long, straight sack-like construction. :/ The fabric is black with pinkish roses and greenery on it. I'm not sure what I'll do with it. I should finish it, I guess. If I don't like it enough to wear out of the house, I can always just wear it at home. ....Yeah, I should do that. This challange is really getting to finish up my half-done stuff. And I have more of that than I realized!

Sounds like we're all a bunch of jacks-of-all-crafts. ^^ It's great to see everyone getting motivated and enthusiastic.

This. This is such a great idea! I totally want to see pictures from that.
All this talk of crochet reminds me that I have plans to knit up a pair of house slippers. I've got the yarn, needles, and pattern all lined up, I just need to sit down and do it. I've got some television to catch up on, so that will be a great time for knitting.

I could use a pair of those. I keep ruining socks by wearing them around shoeless, but the cold floors demand it!

Yeah, choosing an avatar would be tricky. If I were doing it, I would want to have some recognizable Mene items, but nothing too complicated, because of course it would be hard to replicate backgrounds and all the various magical things we have.
<ponders>
What an interesting challenge! Good luck with it!

No problem Roxxi Shiagami - I hadn't even known it LOL!
I haven't been working on that baby afghan lately. Just too busy and too tired. Um... spending too much time on the internet and playing video games until the wee hours, then having to get up fairly early. And last night, I added a zumba class to that. I am just totally, completely exhausted. As soon as the television show I am watching now (Dateline) is over, I am going to crash. But I still have to get up early tomorrow and get going. Ugh... Maybe I'll feel more rested next week and can continue my crocheting. Picture me with my eyes drooped to half-mast and with my tongue hanging out.

Oh wow. Sounds like you have a lot on your plate.
I'm in the same boat myself, I'm in training for a job, and it's just been so busy that quite a few times I barely get a shower before crashing, lol.
I'm working on an afghan right now (knitting). I'm trying to get it to full-queen size. This is the first time that I'm doing a project this big.

I feel so much better this morning after getting about nine hours of sleep last night. I could have slept longer if the dogs were bothering me to get up and let them outside. :/ I'm still drinking coffee and perusing the internet. But as soon as this last cup is gone, I am going to jump into the shower, then get ready to go to town. I have a couple of stops to make shopping, and some business to take care of. I heard through the family grapevine that today is supposed to be garden planting day. If it really is, then that is what I'll be doing the rest of the day. Otherwise, I actually feel like settling in to crochet, I think. Yay! ;)
I crocheted a BIG afghan once. It was queen sized to fit over the bed and hang down the sides. But it was just easy back and forth double crochet in various colors. I've done twin sized granny square ones too. But I don't think I want to tackle another project like than again anytime soon. Good luck with yours. :)
Chexala, good luck with getting those slippers done today. :)

Thanks Suzanne. ^^ I made progress on a slipper, only to realize that I'd made a mistake somewhere, so I had to unravel it all. XD
I wasn't using the correct size of needles anyway, so I'm going to take the opportunity to get myself some new ones. I recently discovered the joys of circular needles, and now I want to knit everything with them.

Oh no! I hate when that happens! But you sound like me - when I found really large crochet hooks, I want to use one of those exclusively. Hahaha! But of course in keeping gage, etc. I can't use them on all of my projects. I am really hoping today I can get back to my crochet project in progress... But it's with a smaller hook, so it is a much slower project. :/

I'M GONNA DO SOMETHING TODAY. I dunno what, but after I'm done cleaning I'm gonna crochet and maybe sort through my paper for a few coupons. Ever since I started saving money I feel obligated to buy more. WHAT SHOULD I MAKE WITH THE PAPER?

Do you mean newspaper, Alexander? What you can make from newspaper? Well, papier mache comes to mind. If you are into that or open to the idea, you can make all kinds of cool things. I've made little Santa Clauses and various animal figures that turned out really cute.
You can also fold newspaper sheets into 'reeds' of about half an inch - the size doesn't matter that much, as long as they are all the same size - and weave them into mats or baskets. Then you seal them and paint them when done. Those turn out great too!
And as a more untilitarian craft, you can make them into little seed starter pots to grow seedlings. When your seedlings are big enough, you just plant them, newspaper and all, into the ground. The roots will grow right through the pot - as long as you don't make the pot too thick.
Newspapers also work to put around garden plants to keep out weeds. Layer them thickly, and cover with wood chips, dirt or whatever to weight them down and look nice. As they disintegrate, they add mulch and compost to the ground.
Whenever I start a new flower bed, I pick my spot and cover the grass with layers of whole sections of newspaper. Then I put dirt or potting soil and compost on top and start planting. No digging or weeding necessary! :)

Thanks! I'd love to layer a garden...
Apartment buildings suck, T__T but I do remember seeing someone on HGTV layering newspaper under wood chips. I'll try the basket thing!
