It is a lecture entitled "Sex, Marriage and Reproduction part II", from an introductory culture & social anthropology class. They are going more over the ways in which cultures structure their marriage systems. It is quite interesting, and I have a fairly warm reception to the lecturer. The only problems come in when he tries to draw on frame works from evolutionary psychology. He also makes a few assertions which I find questionable. On the whole he is quite good though. Like I really enjoyed the following quote

While we used to define marriage as the union of man and woman, cross cultural perspectives lead us to conclude it needs to be defined more broadly as the union of two or more people.

Haha yeah, I read your post in the homosexual thread. I ended up resisting the urge to get into a debate with you. As we have different opinions on homosexuality to say the least. Although your follow up on the topic of marriage amused me, and almost had me tempted to post a comic I had used earlier. As for clarity of message, I find it very difficult to effective communicate my position too. The discourse on sexuality is one such area where I fail at expressing myself clearly. Hmmm I might need to go now, as I gotta do some reading. Promised a certain someone I would give them some assistence with their assignment. To do this requires that I do some reading.
