Cassie smiled then looked at duke. " we will raise him to be a sweet kid," she said.

Duke stroked his head. "He already is"

" yes he is a sweet kid already," she said with a smile.

Adam woke a few hours later and began to cry. "I think he's hungry" Duke said.

" here you go sweety," she said giving him a bottle of blood.

Adam grabbed the bottle and sucked down all the blood.

" such a big appetite. He will need more blood," she said.

( we could say that while they are sleeping, the baby drinks some of cassies blood cause it needs it instead of regular blood)

"Quite the appeitite" Duke burped Adam and set him down for bed. "It's late, we should get some sleep"

"Ok," Cassie said and went to the bed and alid down and fell asleep.

During the night, Adam crawled from his crib to where Cassie was sleeping. He bit down on her neck and began to suck her blood.

Cassie only slightly stirred in her bed but other than that she lept soundly.

Adam fell asleep after feeding. The next morning, Duke woke up and peeked into Cassie's room. "What's oing on in here?"

Cassie yawned as she woke up. she felt weird. She noticed adam asleep beside her. "He msut have crawled in here last night," she said sleepily.

Duke gently picked Adam up. "Is that a bite mark on your neck?"

Cassie looked at her neck in the mirror. "i guess so. I wonder how that happened," she said.

Duke began to put two and two together. "Cassie, do you think that Adam fed on you last night?"

"I don't know i don't think so i mean i would have woken up if he had wouldn't i?" she said confused.

Duke checked the inside of Adam's mouth. There was still fresh blood staining his fangs.

" but we fed him before he went to bed why would he drink mu blood?" she said.

"I have no idea. Maybe it has something to do with his mutation"

Cassie got up and put a bandage on her nevk.

Duke returned Adam to his crib.

Cassie was tired but ignored it and began cooking breakfast.
