"Unai are not the creatures that the public knows about," Raiden stated matter-of-factly as he pulled Esmme closer to himself. "We are not mindless killing machines and I would be that they were going to report your presence to the chief." He nodded slowly agreeing with his words, his eyes never travelling back over to the white haired male that had his sister's attention. She was quiet and calm for once, he would take that for now. He needed a rest and he knew that his sister would not want one for quite some time until this had happened.

"If I may be so bold though, why is it that you had ventured out to such a location? It seems rather far off for beings to normally travel," he then spoke. Just as Unai, blunt, well at least most of the time, mmm, or more of when they chose to be. At this point he was still trying to understand these too. They weren't human he knew that, but he also understood that if they had been near his kind they know of them and could possibly wish harm onto them.

Batara's gaze didn't faulter when the boy looked over at her, his gaze not moving from hers, nor did her face pinken like it would with humans who were caught in such an act. Instead her head tilted to the side, taking in the details she now saw. It was these behaviors that some could tell she was not human, she didn't know that it was considered almost indecent to stare, it was just how Unai tried to learn things.

His steely gaze confused her, like she wanted to learn more about it as if there was more there than he was letting on. His scar, it was an ingtriguing design that caught her interest and the garb she now saw seemed almost soldier-like in appearance. A hunter, is he a hunter? She wondered as she tried to piece everything together.

Jason had learned to love staring because he believed that those who looked away were either hiding something or ashamed of looking at him, which showed him they were mentally weak and would easily give into temptation. He was surprised and rather admired that the girl didn't look away, but his face stayed cold. He trained to never show his feelings for he believed it was a weakness. And indeed being a soldier for God, that was the last thing you wanted to show; a weakness.

He kept his gaze on her as if it were a contest, but let the rest of him slip into the chilly water, which he welcomed just as much as the warm sun.

Kayla turned away from the boy with the white hair and then looked back at Raiden. Hmm trying to get personal eh...... "We were out there because I ran away from home." She smiled at Raiden as she tried to not show the sadness and torture of that one trip to the forest. Kayla pulled her brother closer to her. She felt much safer that way.
Haden looked at his sister in a weird way. He admired her for what she just said, she usually would get angry at a question like that, but she handled it perfectly. He smiled at her and then turned back to Raiden. "Did you used to live in that pack?"

Jezzebeth got to her feet and bowed her head slightly to the people in front of her.'Thank you for the conversation,I will be back later.'Jezzebeth said.Jezzebeth started to walk away and before she did her voice was a silent whisper in Danzi's mind.'I need time alone,stay here.'Jezzebeth said as she begun to walk out towards the plains that stretched for miles and miles.Jezzebeth needed to be alone,her memmories always haunted over her like a tower.She couldn't help but feel this way and wish she could write a letter explaining how she felt but she couldn't.Who would she send it to and who would care?Those where her only thoughts.She picked up her pase and kept walking alone on the outstretched land.

Danzi flinched when he felt Jezzebeth got up.He laid there and watched her walk and listened to her voice.It was full of sorrow but he knew she just needed to be alone.Danzi sat up on his hunches and waited for the rest of the conversation to take over.

Esmme grinned when Raiden pulled her close to him, and then merely leaned against him a bit, stiff with embarrassment. She was focused on nothing but the Unai, and didn't seem to be responding to much of anything but Raiden himself.

"Raiden, I shall be back," Batara whispered over her shoulder as she watched the male enter the water. She then took his hand from his and walked over towards him. She stopped just at the surface's edge and watch him for a moment before saying, "You are a very odd being." That was a statement that had gotten the twins in trouble a few towns back but it was also one that was just sort of asked when the Unai were confused by one's actions. She crossed her arms under her chest, her weight shifting to one foot; it had been a human habit she had picked up on though she wasn't proud of it.

Rather that having to deal with herself like that, Batara sat down where she stood. Normally she would have just dipped her feet in the water but she had to take her shoes off. You couldn't fully enjoy nature if something not from its world was interfering. "That mark under you eye, what does it mean?" She then asked him, her attention shifting to that as her hands moved to prop herself up.

Raiden nodded slowly before his sister's voice broke through his thoughts. He released her hand just as she was pulling away, he knew what she was going to do. Once he heard his sister start talking again and confirm that thought he finally said, "Yes, we were once from that pack. In this area there is only one Unai pack though there are many scattered throughout other areas."

Since the wolves hadn't attacked yet he was slowly trusting them, at least when it came to being friendly. The dragons had not either which must have meant that they did not plan on doing that. The wovles were almost acting much like an Unai, only answering what has been asked and nothing more. You want to get as much information as you could about the other person before letting on too much about yourself. At least that's how the hunters were trained. The bit about the other packs was not important when it came to Raiden and his sister so there was no harm in saying it.

"It means sacrifice," he said with a hint of a scowl. 'What does she care?' The human pulled himself out of the water, which he was deeply enjoying. He didn't feel like bathing and "purifying" himself in front of her. "Please tell me that's all you want; an answer to sate your petty curiosity. I'd hate to waste more of my time talking to you. Besides, my god beckons me to return to my home." Jason spat his toxic venom with an equally harsh tone. He may have been religious, but he didn't give off the respecting and chivalrous aura of a Templar. "May I not waste anymore of your worthless time. I got what I came for," he hissed before turning to walk away.

It was not often that one found such an unusual character. Batara turned to check on her brother for a moment before nodding at him. He would be fine with her missing for a little while, she had faith in him. Besides, the more off putting this male became, the more curious the Unai was. "Why you are not wasting any of my time," she said as she side stepped to she was beside him.

"If I may be as so curious as to ask, but what is it that you are sacrificing?" It was almost as if she hadn't even heard him say that hopefully her first question was her only one. It wasn't that she didn't hear it but she found it pointless to refute the statement only to find herself speaking more. Throughout the years she had found that just continuing was better use of breath.

Jason reprimanded the girl. "More questions? Why? I'm not interesting and it annoys me to see you think otherwise. I'd appreciate it if you leave well enough alone, including me. You have enough friends back there. It would benefit us both if you left me be, so leave!" Jason increased his pace and kept himself from looking at her. It would only increase his anger. He hated man, but he brooded over women. 'Provocative, blood-sucking whores. They act cute, coy, and curious just to get your attention and get you in bed.' He had a habit of seeing the worst in everybody and not taking the time to see the good. It was a habit the seething youth did not feel like breaking. Predicting the worst would always soften the blow whenever it did come true.

He was really trying to keep her away, but of course Batara was stubborn and was sure she would prevail. She didn't pick up her pace when he had though, she just swung her arms as she walked, her bare feet enjoying this more than when she wore shoes. "Hardly, we are travelling companions, I would not be able to tell you anything about them really. Besides we are travelling with but a single human. I have never had much interaction with them so you cannot think that when one seems as off putting as yourself that I would not be the least bit curious." Her arms stopped swinging as she clasped her hands behind her back, tilting her head back she took a deep breath. The forest was always calming, nature in general was. It was places like the town that the group had just been in that threw her off.

"I know that you are curious! I'm getting a fair amount of anger because of it! I never said you weren't curious, but I am asking you to stop. You already have a human back there. If you have anymore questions, which I'm sure you do, ask them!" Jason broke out into a run, which was abnormally fast for the average human, but the Templar's had an abnormally hard training program. "Leave me alone," he whispered under his breath and slowed to a walk once he felt she was far enough behind him.

It was almost as a switch had been thrown in Batara's mind at that point. He was running, and though she was a hunter she was not hungry and therefore was not hunting. This was something completely different. Her Unai form medled over until the black creature stood there on all fours, tail trashing about. She could smell his scent, he was moving quickly but not faster than herself. Her long legs lurched forward as she ran after him, ears pinned back. Animals darted out of her way every time she changed her course ever so slightly. She was nearing him, she could tell that from the intensity of his scent, but then, drat. She had passed it. Turning around quickly the Unai ran back until the smell was at its strongest once again. It was then that she darted back into the path, the male was in front of her. Her now red eyes stared at him for a mintue, her ears straight up at the point as she stood on an angle. It almost looked like a wild animal had been caught offguard and was contemplating on attacking or not. After a moment though, she sat facing him, her tail waging.

"Dumb animals," he hissed, unfazed by the approach that would give someone the idea and usually ended with a person getting their throat torn out. He pushed the ugly creature aside by it's snout, presumably, and resumed making his way back to the cathedral. "Now I have mangy beast curious about me. I should never have left the kingdom. Too many nosy beings who can't be satisfied with seeing a simple stranger. People who need to know everything, even what a scar means." Jason continued brooding and finally found his way to the edge of the forest to reveal a large grassland. Miles still remained between him and the kingdom.

Batara snorted slightly when the male pushed her before continuing on his way. Well that's not very polite, she thought before turning around and watching him for a moment before happily trotting along after him. Raiden had always said that her curiosity would get the better of her someday, and it almost looked like that he was right, though she would never admit to that. The Unai didn't stay as close to him this time, she always stayed off to the side and back somewhat. When she saw that grassland though she hesitated. This had been a bad place for her kind. It was places like these where humans always received bad notions and the name 'hell hounds' was developed. She wasn't too sure if she wanted to go out there just yet. That was why she waited, her ears down as she tried to figure out what she could do.

Jason paid no mind, or even noticed the Unai still there and that is would no longer follow him. But it would certainly bring a smile to his face if he knew that he would finally be alone. He stepped into the waist high grass and continued his miniature trek home. "Beautiful or not, that waterfall isn't worth visiting if I will have to deal with people. Especially ones like that stubborn girl. Jason didn't even notice the fact that he had no room to talk. He would deny her simple meager information to keep his privacy and keep from earning a friend, which was the last thing he wanted.

Batara paced back and forth at the edge of the grass, barking and chirpping at the man as she watched him shrink in the distance and in the grass. He wasn't paying any attention though and for some reason that seemed to almost through the creature into a panic. She could have just as easily turned around and gone back to her brother and the rest of the group but she didn't. There was something that pushed her, urged her to follow the male. Finally that urging won over and the Unai darted into the grass. Had her ears been up then those would have been seen, other than that the rest of her body was lower than the grass, but just barely.

Jezzebeths head throbed,her thoughts where over whelming.Jezzebeth sighed and looked back at the water fall.Should she go back,or wait awhile?Jezzebeth sighed and kept walking.Men where worthless vermon,the human anyway.They always called anyone anything thinking they had room to talk.Jezzebeth straightened up and walked as though she was proud of herself.She looked down at her arm the pain coming back again.Jezzebeth remained tranquil and sat beside a stream and started to empty the dirt and iron out from it by washing it.'Damn hunters...'Jezzebeth mumbled as she washed the cut.

Danzi sat up on his hunches and gave them a slight bow of the head.He soon saw creatures somewhere else.He wanted to join them,but was too tired and he knew they wouldn't understand them.Danzi got up and started to walk away,he sat at the edge of the waterfall enjoying its roar and water coming down from its edges.Danzi closed his eyes without any worries as if the water fall was washing them all away.

Haden looked at the male with curiosity. He had always thought that Unai's were like them, but they were much different. He smiled at the male, still not trusting him.
Kayla watched Batara go, she did not follow, but she did want to go to the water. She looked at her brother with pleading eyes, "Can I go to the water." Not waiting for an answer, Kayla dove off of the rock into the cold water. She loved the water, it made her feel relaxed. Kayla did a back float in the water. She did not know if there was fish in the water because even though the water was clear, the fish were not coming out. Kayla looked in the water, trying to find some form of life, she saw a big black fish swimming under her.

Jezzebeth heard someone walking threw the grass.Jezzebeth stood up,her ears twiched at the sound.'I swear if its another dragon hunter...'Jezzebeth mummbled as she got ready to turn into her dragon shape if it was.Jezzebeth soon saw it was a boy,he was walking towards somewhere.Jezzebeth watched the body to make sure that he did not near her and to be sure he had no weapons.She payed close attention to his body language.He was annoyed,and the way he seemed was snappy.Jezzebeth just stared.

Danzi roared with a yawn.He stretched and leaned over the water.Danzi started drinking some of the water from the falls when he saw a girl swimming.She wasn't a dragon hunter he could see,so he kept drinking but kept his brown eyes on her.

Jason was lost in deep thought about nothing. He was blank minded and he often did this to take his mind completely off the troubles of the world. He had no idea that the mutt was barking and soon got over it's paranoia to follow him again. Many regarded walking through the fields of tall grass as foolish since more than bugs and snakes lurked in it's cover. This theory was proved when a lone mercenary hired by someone who, undoubtedly, hated Jason and his personality; many did. The brigand had not even the time to draw his blade for Jason had already thrown his fist, coated with a sharp spiked gauntlet, into his face, smashing the bones to pieces and pushing the shards back into his brain.

Batara had managed to keep up with the male pretty well and rather silently at that, though she was on high alert the whole time. She would stop and raise up onto her rear haunches every now and again to peer around the grass before following again. She wasn't sure where they were going but she felt as though they weren't alone so she tried to keep her ears as open as possible. At this point her ears were up and exposed over the grass, her tail slowly moving about brushing against the tall weeds. There was nothing though. Even knowing that something must have been out there nothing showed itself. This made the hunter very uneasy and extremely cautious.

Raiden moved to watched the girl run off into the water, her brother staying behind with him. "Now tell me, from what myself and my sister have learned on our travels, your kind does not seem to have a shining reputation much like ourselves, am I correct?" He askes as he rolled his pastel brown eyes so he could better watch Haden. There was something about him, he just seemed on edge at the moment. It was best to keep those kind talking, at least that is what he thought. His attention then went to Esmme as he asked her, "What do you know of his kind my dear?"

Jezzebeth smiled softly when she saw a tail waging.Jezzebeth whistled to get the creatures attention.She wouldn't walk threw the grass because she could already see the boy and the dog walking threw it.She found it very funny how the boy was annoyed and how the other creature was so catiouse.Jezzebeth sat in the dirt that was across the path from the tall grass.She sat criss crossed with her elbow on her knee and with her chin in the palm of her hand and watched the two.
