@ Fulkth: De rien!

@ Popcorn: That totally sucks. >.<

C'est vrai que le français de Canada est différent que le français de France. La prononciation est différente et il y a des différences de vocabulaire aussi. Je pense que c'est plus proche a l'anglais. On peut traduire directement des phrases comme "chien chaud" pour "hot dog" qui ne marche pas en France.

Future=l'avenir

Woot! I would totally be able to translate that! XD

But in France they just call it hotdog. ^_^;;

@ Fulkth: Yeah, they have picked up a lot of English expresions but I was just trying to give an example. I know "to have fun" is different as well... In French the verb is "s'amuser" but in Canadian it's "avoir fun" if I remember correctly...

I just remembered a French phrase.

Tais-toi!

I think it means shut up. ^_^;;

Actually that would probably be ruder. I'm not really sure how you would say it politely, probably just "Taisez-vous s'il vous plaît."

*gasp* I also know halt de klappe. T_T

I am such a bad little girl.

But honest. That's the only swear words in French and German that I know!

They're not really swear words... Just not very nice to say. "Shut up, shut your mouth, or shut your face" really aren't swearing, they're just very rude ways of asking someone to be quiet...

Swearing in french is probably the second best thing you can do with the language, apart from talking dirty XD It's so much smoother, and can literally go on forever. Or at least in Quebec. Can't speak for the french in other countries.

Pour la saison, il fait assez froid ici... j'ai froid au-dedans de la maison, mais il fait plus froid en dehors.

L'argot et la vulgarité, je crois constituer les plus grands trous dans mon vocabulaire français. Je les bouche plus rapidement depuis que j'ai commencé à lire le manga en français, lequel me rend plus consciente que la plupart de mon manga préféré est remplie de vulgarité. xD

It's rather unseasonably cold here... I'm cold in the house, but it's colder outside.

I think slang and profanity leave the biggest holes in my French vocabulary, but I'm filling them faster since I started reading manga in French. It makes me much more conscious that most of the series I read are rife with foul language. xD

Oh! Ça me rappelle les liens que tu m'avais donnée pour l'anime et le manga. Je devrais vraiment les utiliser. T_T

En ce moment je lis Harry Poter à l’école des sorciers en français. ^^;

Hahaha, ça paraît amusant. Comment est-ce que tu trouves la traduction? On a bien traité les calembours?

@ Boo: Silly Boo! They sell all sorts of French manga in France... I bought all of Chobits in French. There's also French anime, video games, etc. Just like how a lot of our manga and games come from Japan and get translated into English, they get translated into French too. ^^;

@ Robard: Je crois qu'il on bien fait la traduction. La traduction pour " the put-outer" est "l'eteignoir" et "muggle" is "un Moldu." Or il a changé quelques noms et ça me dérange un peu... Madame Pomfrey s'appelle Madame Pomfresh. WTF?
