Léan dove straight under. His tail shot out from the water, and slapped against it, sending a fountain of water in her direction. He peeked his head above the water slowly afterwards.

Artemis was hit, and she giggled, brushing the water from her eyes before opening them. She grinned at Lèan before splashing him and smiling even more. "CAtch me if you can Lèan!" she said cheerfully before diving underwater and swimming away.

'Catch me if you can' was quite a mistake. In less than two seconds, Léan was right in front of her. He'd shot out under her and then in front of her face. He was a very swift swimmer...if a human tried to kill him underwater, like a diver or a terrified fisherman...they had no chance.

Startled, Artemis fell back into the water before popping back up again. "WOW!! You nearly gave me a heart attack!" Artemis exclaimed, floating on her back to catch her breath before swimmimg over and hugging her fishy friend. (XD) "You're..... amazing Lèan," she said softly, before blushing a bright pink and ducking underwater to hide it.

Léan arched an eyebrow. Compliments were not something he was used to getting. So, he didn't understand just how to react. Instead, he stretched himself out, sighing.

Artemis blinked before diving underwater and swimming some more, pondering where she would live once she was turned into a mermaid.

Léan was absently mulling over the same thing. He had a feeling that he was either going to have to end up taking her to a city, or--less likely--finding abandoned territory to claim.

Artemis decided to stop worrying, so she started floating on her back, gazing at the stars. She saw a few constellations, which made her smile- especially when she saw her favorite, Pegasus.

Léan didn't want to bring up the change. Not yet. In fact, he probably wouldn't be the one to bring it up when the time rolled around. He was incredibly skittish, and hated the idea of contact with anyone...even his own brother. He didn't like it when people touched him, and flinched when he was hugged.

Touch, apparently, had been something for him to fear when he was smaller.

Sorry I haven't been on, I just started school! D:]

Artemis's mind was on other things, like her life up until now. If the bullies didn't bother her, would she even be doing this? She realized that this was a decision that she would have to live with for the rest of her life. Looking down at her legs, she realized she would have to learn how to swim all over again. Still..... I can't say goodbye to Lèan.... Not yet.

Léan wasn't going to bring it up, at all. He laid back in the water, relaxing. "So. What now? Is there anything else you need to do on land?" he asked, conversationally. He didn't know what else to say or do.

Artemis shook her head. "No, I'm all set. I have everything that I could bring with me, I said goodbye to my mom and brother..... I'm good," she said, smiling a little. "I'll miss them.... but someday I will come back to visit them."

Léan nodded, absently. Being a loner at heart, he didn't seem to understand the value of family. He loved his brother, of course, but after a week or two of being with him, he wanted to tear his head off and move as far away as was possible. He didn't like being around people.

This was probably something that was going to cause tension between himself and Artemis. It was something she would have to try to eke out of him, gradually.

Artemis blinked slowly, finding the silence between herself and Lèan a bit awkward. Without a word, she slipped underwater, going to the bottom and staying there until she needed to breathe. She always loved the view of the sky from underwater, it looked amazing. The moon and the stars seemed to shift as she looked at them, probably caused by the ripples in the ocean.

Léan seemed to find the clear, above-water sight of the sky more fascinating, since it wasn't something he was always used to seeing. In his first ten years of life, he didn't even dare to breach the surface.

Artemis smiled as she drifted underwater, before popping back up to breath. A mischevious grin was now on her face, as she silently swam over to Lèan, and....

SPLASHED HIM! (XD)

Léan shook his head a few times. Being splashed, even in the face, didn't bother him--it was like a human being blasted with air in the face. He seemed tired, like he wanted to rest. But he knew that in her condition, she couldn't very well rest. Not underwater, at least.

"...That cavern I mentioned earlier, that is underwater but has a section that is enclosed above water?" It was the spot he'd said was perfect for them to, erm...change her. "We can rest there for a while..."

Artemis blushed, nodding as she shyly smiled at him. "Ok~ L-Let's go.." she said, swimming over to him. "Where is it, Léan?" she asked, looking over to him.

She was so nervous.

What would being turned feel like?

Would Léan stay and help her?
