Kaden was shocked at what Xavier said, though he didn't trust the man at all, he did have a slight point. He then looked at Jill and clenched his fists. He had already indangered her by being close to her at all, which made him angry. He shouldn't have gotten so close to her because then she would be safe and sound at her house working on her beloved guns. Knowing now that she was indanger he nearly swore. "I will watch her like a hawk." he said softly.

Kyreian looked at Kaden then back at Xavier. Her sapphire eyes flashed black. She set the girl very gently on the couch, making sure she was comfortable before straightening and turning her death gaze back on the man that brought them all there. Her voice was very quiet, not a hint of anger or her hatred for him, only the black orbs of her eyes gave away her emotions. "I trust his words, not yours." Without waiting for a reply, she turned on her heels and briskly left, not even sparing a glance to Dante as she walked back him.

It took her no time at all to leave the awful building behind. Kyreian had made her decision but that didn't mean she had to like it much. Knowing that most likely Dante wouldn't be far behind, she headed quickly towards the park they had left. She would have to wait until they were closer before changing. Didn't want to bring too much attention to them just then. That, and she was shaking again. She was getting better at controlling it but it still happened. Her power wasn't the only thing that made her shake, however. She hadn't realized how out of control of herself she was. When she was in the military, she had had an exceptional amount of control and strength of will. Apparently that didn't amount to much in this situation. She still couldn't look at him, couldn't even talk to him yet. She sighs, trying to calm herself better, letting the feeling of the wind picking up her hair to smooth her over.

When Kyreian left, Xavier merely blinked. Turning his gaze to Kaden, the tall male smiled a bit. "Such is the loyalty of love." This man would put himself in danger for Jill; it was written all over his face. "You will not have to fight for her today, Kaden." Not today: implying that he might have to later on. "Once we are finished here, you can take her home." The red-eyed male stepped up to him and tapped Kaden's glasses. There was still a scattering of scratches and a few cracks in the lenses. The moment Xavier's now-human finger hit them, they were repaired. The veins of darkness retreated back into his hand when they finished their task.
"You wish to protect her," he said slowly, "and you would do whatever it takes to do so. Am I correct?" Xavier's sharp features filled with curiosity.

Leon was now watching Jill closely. She wasn't showing signs of infection . . . yet. But after a few minutes, his gray eyes picked up on something. "She needs help," he interrupted whatever Xavier was saying to Kaden suddenly. Jill's breathing was shallow . . . and getting quicker by the second. Her skin was already turning a sickly gray: she was dying. The infection was turning her at a much slower rate than the others, but it was still clawing at the blonde.
Without so much as a second look, Xavier motioned in Jill's direction. Though she sucked in a bigger breath, she didn't seem to heal completely. Falling into a restless state of unconsciousness, Jill shifted a few times.
"She's still-"
"I will tend to her after we speak," Xavier's crimson gaze locked on Leon dangerously. He was a predator again. "I have a proposal for the both of you." Leon was about to speak again, but the older mutant stopped him. "Jill will regain her health, and her normal life, if you will do something for me."
-

Dante was silent as he fell into step beside Kyreian. He admired her ferocity to protect Jill, but he also was a bit shaken by how she'd spoken to Xavier. Dante still considered Xavier his only real link to life: his father, if you will. Granted, he held no emotional connection to the other mutant . . . but there was still some sort of relation. Seeing Kyreian flaunt her own authority over what Xavier did with her was a bit stunning.
They approached the park swiftly. By the time they got there the two of them were in their "true forms." Dante glanced to Kyreian, finally speaking. "Take the East side. I'll go West." The infection couldn't have spread too far. "Meet at the playground afterward." With that, the male drew his gun and cocked it, turning his red eyes to his task. I don't know what to think of this.

Kaden watched as Jill was set on the couch and inclinded his head in thanks to the woman who tried protecting her. "Thank you." he said and watched as they left. He turned his gaze to Jill for a moment and then looked at Xavier. He didn't answer at first, his mind was just concentrating on how to get Jill safely out of here. But he gasped as Xavier tapped his glasses, not likig the close proximity, but was surprised as his glasses were fixed. He took them off, and sound he could see almost just as well withoutthe specticals, but kept the fact to himself, and put them back on. Hearing Leon Kaden turned around worriedly and then watched with worry as Jill began getting sick. He then looked at Xavier and nodded. "As long as you give your word to heal her. Anything." he said dead serious and looked at Jill again. He had a feeling he would never get to tell her his true feelings for her but he knew as long as she was safe he would be content.

"She will be completely healed," Xavier said. His words made Leon fall still. Perhaps what he was going to say was worth listening to. "Find others. Find more of you kind." The tall male paused, tilting his head a bit. "Bring me other mutants. Jill is human; she may return to her home once you have returned with two others."

Leon frowned. Where was the catch? The soldier was just about to ask when Xavier stepped up to him, kneeling and taking his wrist in a cold grip. "I'll do whatever Jill needs," the male whispered quietly. Eying the mutant for a moment, he tried to yank his arm back when Xavier tightened his freezing hold.
"You are certain?"
"Yes," Leon hissed, knowing that he was probably digging himself a nice pit. This was going to the be the end of him or something. . . .
Leon growled suddenly. Xavier sank his fangs into the soldier's wrist. There was a moment of pain, but then the male pulled away. The twin marks bled . . . but the metallic red and black that twisted about near the wounds was a mark of a mutant. "Then you have been chosen." Xavier's gaze turned to Kaden next. "Would you join him?" Something in his red eyes spoke of a threat: if he didn't, Jill would still be in danger.

Kaden listened closely, waiting for a catch. Wo far there was nothing. He then watched shocked as Leon was grabbed when Xavier went for the bite Kaden nearly ripped him away but stopped himself. He looked over Leon from where he was standig. Making sure he wasn't hurt, and then found Xavier turning to him. "Anything for them." he said firmly, meaning Jill and Leon. They were the only things he cared about now. This monster could harrass and beat him until the brink of death as long as Leon and Jill were safe. "Yes..." he said slowly and then waited for the bite as well, hoping that a girl who could see the future and was psycic counted as a mutant.

Leon grimaced as Xavier bit into Kaden. The older mutant chose Kaden's upper forearm - just before the joint. The bite took a few moments, but the pain lasted longer. When Xavier stood, he let his echoing voice enter their minds. "You have been Chosen. You are now linked to me just as the others are."
Every Elite felt their bonding to their group - it was two more minds joining a strange link. They couldn't talk to one another, but Xavier was their go-to. The elder male smiled slightly, glancing to Jill. "I would move swiftly if you wish to ensure she is returned to you without harm." The infection could hurt her more than necessary if too much time went by. . . .

Tyrod wasn't exactly happy that the confrontation was over because he was still in quite the fighting mood but he was happy to have accomplished his first mission successfully. The street rat listened in silence as Dante took control and Kyreian helped keep things calm and civil. Then they left without much of a fight and Tyrod dragged Leon along with his powers. When they arrived at the apartment he dropped the soldier on the floor and walked over to his Master as he greeted their return.

To his surprise he dismissed Dante and Kyreian almost immediately and then spoke directly to him in a solid form. It was all rather, impressive, to be talking to him in person. "I've noticed that my power and the potency of it has spiked tremendously, but even I can feel that I have more. I'm still not very accurate when trying to dish out heavy blows, but I'm pinpoint when it comes to light strikes. I also realized that my power stems from gravitational force, so that leaves me with quite a bit of space for techniques. If I can imagine it, I'm sure I can do it." That was a little of what he observed, but naturally not all. It was just the main points of what he wanted to tell, even if the older mutant knew some of it already. Xavier didn't need to know everything about him.

When the tall male finally moved on, he got into a confrontation with Kyreian but that was to be expected. She seemed to have a good since of right and wrong but more apparently a strong conscience. It was a sight to see. She stood up for a woman that she didn't know without hesitation and Xavier was at a standstill. Tyrod wondered what it would be like to have one, a conscience that it. He figured it would be annoying. As a matter of fact it was. He thought back to when he had saved Jill and not known why he was risking his life for a stranger. Something had just kept telling him that he should save her even though he knew he should save his own skin. If that's what a conscience is, I hope mine keeps its mouth shut!

Then the male watched in silence as Xavier branded the others. It was a slightly disturbing ritual and quite painful but it would make them stronger. Or at least if that's what Xavier wanted, it would.

Kaden grit his teeth as the mutant bit into him, making him flinch. He then nearly lost conciousness for a second before Xavier pulled away, and soon straightened. His eyes flashed to Jill and his jaw set in a rigid line as he heard Xavier's threat. "Two mutants... No problem." he said smoothly and then nodded to Leon. "Lets hurry." he said and then walked towards the door. He was going to get Jill to safety as fast as he possibly could.

Kyriean merely nodded her head to show that she heard what the man said. Without a word, she turned and took her direction. As she went, she was careful to avoid touching plants or anything else living. Unless she couldn't avoid it. Every time she encountered one of the infected, she would shudder before dispatching of them. It took her after the third before she started laughing. It was funny how they were zombies, basically dead, and she was killing them...with a touch that crumbled and rotted. The laughter didn't last, however. It was gruesome, and she really wasn't enjoying it at all.

-------

It took her about 20 minutes to clear up the west side. Another 10 to make sure she had gotten all of the strays. She wasn't happy, and she was shaking uncontrollably again. She arrived at the park, still in her blackened form. She turned the colorful merry-go-round and stepped upon it, spinning round and round very slowly. The creak of the old structure was the only sound in the night's silence. And eerie creak that would have possibly startled her had she merely been walking through. Now, it gave her an odd comfort to know that she wasn't the only eerie thing in the world.
After a moment, giving the spinner another little push to continue it's slow rotations, she laid down so that her head was in the middle of the circle and she stared up at the stars again. And again, she started counting. It was becoming a habit.

The bite had not only branded the two . . . but had healed them as well. As Leon stood, he warily eyed his wrist. Freakish much? And he'd seen a lot of freaky things. Kaden's voice broke him out of thought. The soldier sent one last glare to Tyrod before following his friend. They were going to bring in two mutants. That wasn't as easy as it sounded.
"Any idea where we should start?"

((:XD These mutants will be temporary: I don't know if it's a good idea to have so many characters in use at one time. It might get a wee bit confusing. Even if they're our charry from the other thread, I think it would be best if we just used them for a little while instead of the rest of the rp - unless, of course, you want to have them in here from this point on.))
-

Xavier watched the two leave before looking back to Tyrod. "Let me know when you find new limits to your powers." Every time the youth found a new skill, he should return to the elder mutant. "You did well, Tyrod." For the first time since Tyrod had known him, Xavier looked . . . rather young. He couldn't have been older than twenty-five.
Xavier reached up to wipe a drop of blood from his lip, his red eyes narrowing. His voice, which was now solid, fit his youth. "You have more potential than most. Gravity is an unavoidable force . . . but you can control it." He looked a bit amused. "Intreguing." Reaching one hand forward, Xavier's gaze locked on an empty cup across the room. It drifted into the air for a moment before gently resuming its place. "I look forward to watching you learn, Tyrod."

((:XD Well . . . I figured I'd just make Xavier all the more strange.))
-

Dante finished his task a while after Kyreian. He found her on the spinning merry-go-round. With a snap of his wings, he landed nearby. Watching her for a while, the male sighed. Easily snagging part of the contraption, he swung himself up to sit across from the woman. "He won't hurt her," he said quietly. He was thinking of Jill.
Laying down, he set his head just beside Kyreian's. From that point the stars seemed to teasingly spin. "You were brave, Kyreian. You stood up to him." There was a pause. "You didn't need to." His wings had disappeared with a brutal snap, but his horns remained. Red eyes flickering over the stars, Dante sighed again. These peaceful moments were so few and far between.

KAden looked at Leon and sighed. "There are two people from my school who have psycic powers." he said smoothly and shook his head. "They're not very powerful but they still are mutants." he said and then walked to the streets again. "If he hurts her..." he growled but then clenched his fists. He then stopped Leon by putting his arm out, seeing a girl with a bundle walk by, looking almost like a baby in her arms. But it's skin was red, and the girl changed forms really fast. "AS much as I hate involving girls..." he muttered crossly and snapped, making the tree bend infront of her making her scream in surprise. HE walked towards her slowly and she turned around shaking. (THis is younge zeelith) "WE wont hurt you, but you need to come with us." Kaden said smoothly as the girl pressed the child against her protectively and shook.

Kyreian didn't look at him. She knew he was there even without the sounds he made. She tracked his progress towards her with the sounds and smells. She continued to count the stars. She was still shaking when he laid beside her, which she instantly lost control of and, if it wasn't for the spinning of the wheel, it would be very obvious she was doing so. Her voice was quiet and didn't hint to any emotion. She was locking herself away. "I will always have to. The moment I let him take control without so much as a word is the day he destroys everything I am or could be. I won't let it happen. And that woman does not deserve to be subjected to that."
She shifted so that she was a few inches more away from Dante. Even though she had no emotion on her face or none in her voice, it didn't mean she wasn't feeling anything. After a couple of moments pause, she says even softer, "You were dying. I saw you die."

Leon's eyes narrowed. They weren't doing good things, but it was the only way to ensure the situation turned out alright. The soldier glanced about before following after Kaden. Looking at the girl, he frowned. "Sorry about this." Reaching forward, he gently took the woman's arm. "We aren't here to hurt you."
Looking to Kaden, Leon frowned. Were they going to just drag her in to Xavier? "Do we go back now, or wait until we have both?"
-

"I suppose you're right," Dante said, letting out a sigh. Xavier would take whatever was given to him without a pause. He thought about Kyreian's attitude for many moments in silence. He tried mightily to ignore her shaking. Dante frowned as he heard her emotions being locked away once again. She always did that; perhaps it was security. Maybe Kyreian felt safer with her emotions caught in a trap that she could control.
When the woman moved farther from him, Dante cringed inwardly. There's a barrier. Their reactions to Xavier were already causing a rift between them. Just as the man's gaze traveled to Kyreian's stoic features, she spoke of what she'd seen.
"You . . . saw?" he whispered, his brow creasing. He recalled that he'd seen her as well - she'd been the one to keep him sane when Xavier's power ran through him. "I-I did. Die, that is. Or I came real close to it." He thought for a moment. "I was dying. Xavier brought me back." Again. Once again his trust for Xavier was thrown into the mix. He knew that Kyreian hated the elder mutant, but Dante couldn't help feel connected to him. The man had saved his life through multiple circumstances, and continued to help Dante level off his powers when they became unmanageable. It was why Dante went through regular "feedings." He had to get rid of the built-up power somehow.

Kaden watched as Leon grabbed the girl who was shaking violently. "Leon the kid is one two... His skin is red..." Kaden said slowly as the blanket around the small infent fell away a bit to reveal the red and black on the skin of the child. He then looked into the shaking girl's eyes and his own sadennes. "We are both sorry." he said and taking her baby to make sure she would come with (she struggled alot to keepthe baby) it just ensured that she would follow them for now. "Lets go." he said to Leon softly abs then looked down at the intrestinf infent.

Kyreian continued to look up at the stars with her own black abyss starring back into it. Her voice held nothingness. "Of course he did. Can't have his precious mutant dying on him." She sat up quickly and removed herself from the merry-go-round. She was losing her restraint, so her shaking became more visible. Unfortunately, it also meant that her legs were shaking. Just before they gave out on her, a hand shot out and landed on the little springy horse that was close by. Even if it moved a little bit, she used it to steady herself.
Of course, she forget she was still....her black self. She lifted her hand away from the little ride, bits of it's structure coming with it, crumbling from her hand. She stared at the dust in her hand as the rest of the toy rotted away into just another pile of ash. Her face was emotionless, the mask in place as her eyes had glazed over...not that you could really tell in the dark. Her shaking intensified as she was transported away from reality to yet another waking dream.

Leon's eyes widened. He hadn't seen the child. Blinking a few times, he nodded to Kaden. "Let's get this over with." Gently ushering Zeelith along, the male frowned. They had certainly been quick about it.

By the time they returned, Jill was awake. The blonde sat with her knees drawn up to her chest, looking disgustingly tired. Black shadows were under her eyes, her gaze was a bit dazed, and her skin held a pallour that would have frightened the most confident of doctors. When her friends returned, her brown eyes never left the other side of the room.
Xavier was nearby, his red eyes flickering to the woman that they brought in. "I'm pleased that you moved so quickly." It had been roughly an hour.
-

Dante heard Kyreian get up, but he stayed where he was. That isn't true. Xavier doesn't think of me like that. But that nagging certainty in the back of his mind said differently: yes he did. The mutant frowned, slowly sitting up. When he stood, he saw his friend's hand breaking away from the destruction of the springed animal. "Kyreian," Dante moved toward her, resting a hand on the woman's shoulder. It was then that he noticed her glazed eyes - she wasn't really there.
"I'm here with you," the creature said, his red eyes darting about her face as he knelt beside her. Avoiding contact with her skin, Dante wrapped an arm around Kyreian so she couldn't rest against him. Until she recovered, he would be waiting. Worry etched over his features, the male watched the woman intently. Please be alright.

In through the darkness and death that always ate at her, a light appeared. She felt her skin tingle as if something was touching her. But nothing was there. Taking a deep breath, almost gagging on the stench of this nightmare, she walks towards the light, towards the horned shadow that stood there...

Kyreian gasps and wrenches away from Dante's touch. She stumbles from him a few steps before finally falling to her knees. Her breathing is inconsistent and ragged. She was trying to put her mask back in place but she couldn't hide her fear, anguish. "D-don't. Don't touch m-me." She stares at the ground, not looking at him. Rather suddenly, the veins disappeared and her scared eyes returned to sapphire jewels. She buries her face in her hands, still trying more then anything to become what she used to be, become an emotionless cage.

Zeelith struggled against Leon for awail until they reached the house and Xavier. Kaden looked at Jill worriedly an then to Xavier. "We kept our end of the deal, now heal Jill." he said firmly as he held the child to himself and it made a whimper of protest. "Please! He's only a baby! Give him back!" Zeelith begged as she looked at her child in Kaden's arms. She then transformed in Leon's arms into her true form, , and hit Leon in the face to get away, she then lunged at Kaden. But Kaden stomped on the ground and one of the floor pieces hut her squarely making her fall and groan painfully.

Kyreian's sudden reaction made Dante start. He followed her as she stumbled away, falling to her knees. "I'm sorry," he whispered, confused as to why she had reacted so strangely. "What do you need? What can I do for you?" The male reached out to touch her arm, but stopped himself just before doing so. Standing behind her, Dante's red eyes moved to the stars on the distant horizon. What can I do to help you?
He looked down at Kyreian's trembling form, placing a gloved hand on her head for a brief moment. It was difficult not to touch her at all. That was how he comforted; it was instinctive to touch the person who needed help.
-

Rubbing his jaw, Leon looked down at the shapeshifter warily. She was desperate: it was difficult to just toss her to the wolves. I'd apologize more, if I could. He looked to Jill - who was barely clinging to the normal side of things - before glaring at Xavier. "You said you wouldn't hurt her."

"I haven't." Xavier reached for the infant in Kaden's arms with a strange expression on his face. "That was your doing, boy." Leon recoiled a bit, his gaze lowering to where Zeelith lie.
"You may take Jill home, if you wish."
The tall male's gaze was lingering on the child in his hands. The man appeared much younger and (perhaps) had a normal height. With one hand cradling the infant to his chest, Xavier motioned for shadow to lift Zeelith into the air. "I have no further use for you at this time." He dismissed the others while disappearing into the darkness, taking Zeelith and her child with him.

((I don't know if you want these two to hang around or not, but I kinda figured that it was time for Xavier to consider the school. The academy hasn't been established yet, after all.))

Kaden frowned and looked at Jill and watched painfully as he handed over the small infant to Xavier. "No... Please... Not my baby..." the girl moaned on the ground painfully and Kaden looked at her with a pang of guilt. Looking away as Xavier took Zeelith and her son he then hurried to Jill's side. "Jill..." he whispered and wrapped his arms around her gently and pulled her close. "I was so worried about you. How are you feeling? Tell me everything." he said gently as he looked down at the woman he charished.

Kyreian stayed like that for a few minutes, just shaking and keeping herself from crying. She didn't even flinch when Dante touched her head, actually finding the touch comforting like she imagined was the point. Her voice was soft enough as it was but with her hands in the way, it was also muffled. "You can't do anything." She dropped her hands and pushed herself off the ground, managing to stand with almost minimal shaking. She finally looks at him for the first time, her eyes were starting to change to black again and her veins only starting roll black roads starting from her hands spreading up her and neck to her head. "You mess me up, Dante. Even when I'm not with you, you screw with my head. Look at me." She was fully changed now and her voice was stronger. "I'm death. Even in my dreams, all there is around me is death. But you..." She looks away, finding that she can't believe she's even saying this. Her voice was quieter and choked with the emotion that happened when she was dreaming. "Your always the light, always standing in the light. I know that's crazy and stupid and impossible to even imagine. But your there, standing in the only place that isn't dark and death."
She turns finally and starts to walk away from him, only fumbling a little bit now and then. Goddamit! I'm a freaking soldier, not some emotional twat. What is wrong with me?

Tyrod smiled at Xavier's statement. He probably already knew that the young mutant would come to him if he felt there was more he could acheive. The question was how much more would he be able to master and what exactly did that mean. There were a quite a few questions the young male had but there was no one to talk to them about. What do you get from our. . . connection? He trusted Xavier, to an extent, but he wasn't sure that he would talk to him about these things. Not to mention that it appeared to be a convenient thing for them to be connected to him, if not painful at first, but what perks did he get that they couldn't recognize? "When the time comes for me to increase my strength again, do I have to be bitten again or is there another method for you to use?" And just how much of your favor do I really have, or are you simiply using me until I become a threat? There were more questions that would follow, but only in due time.
Xavier's appearance altered, again, but this time he looked both solid, and young. It was somewhat disturbing, but not enough to make any real note of. There were mysteries surrounding the powerful mutant that he was sure he would never unravel. His following words were a confidence boost for the young and already arrogant mutant, but they was still something about hearing them from him. "Thank you, master." Ty wasn't sure he should have said that or if he was comfortable calling the man (if he acutally was one) master, but at the moment it seemed to fit.
