A kitsune, known for being wise but a trickster. In lore they're pretty rare, so I'd say that's a good reason for the artist to particularly go for him. He'd be special in his own right, and the character I'm thinking of is a rather feisty fella, nice on the eyes, but he wouldn't be a passive slave. I think he'd suit our purposes.

Technically. I only really use the term 'kitsune' for him since it seems the most suitable. In reality, when I use him, he's not quite fitting to that actual race. I imagine him to be quite more human-like, with the exception of knowing little bits of magic. It could make him tricky to deal with, but wouldn't prevent him from being held.

If you'd rather me use another character, however, that is alright too.

she he would bee like your avatar but with magic? I am not having a problem just would have to work out how his magic works. with some tale of Kitsune they had a Ball that was their magic and if you could hold their ball you could hold them. kind of like a Silkies skin.

Ah, well alrighty. I actually had something similar with him. More or less, yes, similar to my avatar. I picture him with the tail and ears, but when he is in possession of his ball (it's a small, golden sort of token he'd typically wear around his neck) he is capable of magic. No one particular kind, really, but with it he can manage changing his forms, some mild kinds of telekinesis, and some fantastic illusions. Nothing serious for the most part, but things that can trick some people easily. When it is in his possession, he would have three tails, since he is still younger.

Without the ball in his possession, he would have one tail, and I'd imagine he'd only be capable of doing very minor things. At the most, maybe closing a door of the room he was in without touching it. Nothing fun. If your elf were to have that ball, he would be tied to him, and he would not be trying to leave without getting it back. At least not unless his spirits ever got truly broken.

well how would he have gotten kidnapped and how would his ball have been taken? those are our next questions.

Well, as one idea, maybe some sort of collector of slaves (not sure if there's a good word for that, off the top off my head) found him traveling into the city for the first time, alone. Somehow wounded him before he could act, knowingly snatched the ball from around his neck, and drug him off to be sold.

they would have to know what he was to know about the ball... but then I was thinking that there would be gangs of people that hunt the streets for those that they can take who will not be missed. I have an Idea. what if the gang that took him had a mage that put him under a sleep spell so we start with him waking up being looked over by a few masters that want to buy? the mage would have know about the magic in his ball.

That would make sense, someone versed in that sort of thing would have had to know to look for it. That would be a good start.

what shall we name it?

Hmm. Well, what is your elf like? What're his artistic mediums? That may help.

he carves, he paints, he draws, he dose metal work, he can work in clay but prefers not to. He is rich so really does not have a job other then being his pretty self and making his art when he feels like it. he has a few slaves that he already owns but those were all ones he had gotten second hand. this time around he wants to brake the slave himself. he wants to train it to like what he likes. he does have a secret, he has vampireic tendency. he has tiny fangs that can brake skin and he likes to bite. its an old blood line that was thought to have been destroyed.

That's quite a variation! Hmm. A title... a title... I'll brainstorm a bit. Might end up throwing a little list at you in a few minutes here.

It's just a nice set of mediums he works with. He seems skilled, which is fitting.

Trying not to go too crazily alliterative, but I think that's what my thoughts are trending towards. I'm sleepy. ._.

Painting. Blood Strokes? Lol.
That would certainly work. Blood Bound or Blood Ties could suit, even.
