So much for this winter's illnesses being done with. Both grandkids are sick with colds again too and my daughter and her boyfriend both have strep. I'm worried my grandkids have strep as well.

Oh and i have to change the shop name, coz someone went and changed their username to "beautiful disaster" which annoyed me very much.

It's very much just like having a regular sore throat, but is worse. Sometimes, if it's bad enough, you will see white spots covering the throat and back of the tongue.

My daughter's throat had swollen to the point she was not able to swallow her medication, so she went to the Emergency Room and they admitted her. They put her on an IV drip, but apparently at first the flow was too fast and she ended up with too many fluids in her body, lol, so they had to slow down the drip.

She was released to come home the next day, however, and she has been fine since. They put her on some medication she calls 'horse pills' because of how big they are, lol.

Strep throat is a bacterial infection in the throat and the tonsils. The throat gets irritated and inflamed, causing a sudden, severe sore throat.

I have an account on gaia, and i'm rather old there. I've only been here on Mene since Dec 23rd of '08. And I have a deviantART account and I made a roliana (sp?) account and from there heard about Mene and sort of abandoned that place. lol

I hate that! People do that at my house all the time.
I had to go out and study in my car one night because my mom and dad were watching TV really loudly and I couldn't fine anywhere in the entire house where I couldn't hear it and concentrate. I would ask them to please keep it down and they would just snap at me to go in a different room.

And strep is short for strep-throat, and what it is is your throat gets red with white spots and hurts really really badly. You cough a bit and you can hardly eat anything. You have to go to the doctor and get special medication and it lasts for awhile. If it isn't taken care of and gets the chance to spread to your lungs then there is a chance that you can die.

Hmm, maybe I recognize you from Gaia then. I never really played a lot on that site, though for a while I did become pretty active. I bet that's it then. Did you ever post in Umaeril's contest thread?

@Fizi - Ohh that is not good!!! I'm glad she's okay though! I've never ever encounted strep before, but it sounds nasty. Would never like to have that myself =[.

They wreckon that they didn't notice that my shop name was called that. But they've been coming to my shop and posting here long before they changed their name, so they must of subconsciously taken it in. It just irks me. It shouldn't matter, but it does irritate me.

Heya, ladies! Sorry I disappeared earlier but had an issue come up that I needed to deal with. I just don't understand some people.

Now if you had two mutual friends, and one of them removed the other from their friends list, and that hurt and upset the first person quite badly because they were really close to the second person, and you thought that the whole thing was just a misunderstanding, what would you do?

Now in this case, on the site I'm speaking of, by removing the first person from their friends list, the first person is not able to get into contact with the second person at all.

Would you contact the second person and try to find out what happened? Or would you just ignore the situation and hope that it resolved itself?

I would contact the second person and find out what is going on.
If something like that happens, it deserves an explanation. Especially if the two people were close.

I had it when I was younger once. It is very painful, but you get ice cream and soft stuff and I got outta this weird summer program for a week or so, so I was happy.

@ Roachi - Nope. People really dont have any consideration for others.

@ Fiziali - I wasn't very active on Gaia. I wasn't much of a poster, and near the end of my activeness I was mostly just in tektek contest threads getting gold.

I've never head strep throat. And I never want it. ._.

Maybe I saw you in some of those contest threads then...I would look at a lot of the tektek contest threads, but I didn't post in them or participate...I just liked looking at other people's avatar creations. I would vote though, in the ones with polls up. It would stand to reason why I recognize your name, anyways.

yeah, that's what I did, Roachi! I contacted the one person and didn't even ask her to tell me what happened between the two of them. I just told her the other friend was hurt and confused and didn't know what she had done wrong, and that if it was just a misunderstanding, it would be simple to straighten it out, and if it wasn't, that maybe she should at least explain why she had done it.

Well, next thing I know, I got a response from the husband of the friend who had removed the other from her friends list. He literally accused me of attacking his wife and saying that what was going on between them was not my business.

Needless to say, I was in shock at having received such a rude and accusatory response. I did email him back and told him I was shocked at the response I received and asked how my intervening on behalf of a mutual friend was so wrong. I was also removed from their friends list.

It just boggles my mind how they felt that what I did was so awful and that they would let it come between our friendship. Did they value our friendship so little? Apparently so.
