It can if you keep it in the freezer too long. But I only leave it in there for a few minutes. Just enough to go below freezing temperatures, but not actually freeze.

Hehe, they are badass. And oh my god loud. I love cranking the volume on max with them. So loud people across the room can hear my music :D
