@Cherry--Tad Williams is the one who wrote the book about the cat society--I think I mentioned that awhile back. Otherland is not my favorite series of his, I much prefer the Dragonbone Chair trilogy.

I used to love tad williams science fiction series... The one about the dragons and knights. His writing is soooo descriptive and lovely. <333

Shadow - Oh, did he write that? Well, if I enjoy Otherland, I'll definitely have to check it out.

Aislin, if you like the storyline of the musical, I think you'd enjoy the book. There are lots of little differences, including the ending, so it's quite fun to compare the two.
But then V of V For Vendetta shouldn't be hot either! You never even see his face, but you know whatever's under there isn't too pretty, just by the brief glimpse you get at his hands. D: And that he was totally burned to a crisp in a fire.
Plus he's a total anarchist maniac bent on revenge. xD
And yet. He's totally amazing. Or maybe I'm just insane. Owo;

I've never seen or read The Phantom of the Opera. I should. >.>

@Kitami: You're not alone in thinking V is totally amazing! And yes you should definitely go read it, I really can't recommended the book enough. If you liked V then you'll probably love the phantom as well.

@`Kitami
True!
But I always think of Hugo Weaving as V, so I tend to imagine him as rather attractive. It's tough when you come to associate a character like that with a real person.

True, Hugo Weaving's voice could make anything 10 times attractive.

I know V for Vendetta was a comic first, but did anyone else get a 1984 feeling from it? I remember watching the movie during the part where they were talking about monitoring people speaking in their houses and going "Big Brother?"

Cherry hasn't seen V for Vendetta?
And we call ourselves twins! :talk2hand:
xD

Dream:: I'll add it to my list. :3

Knerd:: I didn't know who did his voice though until I saw the credits, but then I made sure I found out because, his voice is just all kinds of amazing. XD
(I don't pay attention to actors unless I love them in a role.)
So he was just. V. Lol.

The end of that movie is SO awesome.

Dream:: Lol yeah and I haven't even read 1984.
I need to read that too. ><

I just finished Revelations by Melissa De La Cruz, book 3 in the Blue Bloods Saga, and holy crap was it amazing!
Granted it was sort of slow in the beginning but it picked up pace fast. I can't wait for the forth one. Now I have to wait for the books in the library to come in, cause I don't have anything to read now ^^;;

*goes to add to the list*

Here is a pretty fair synopsis: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Otherland

@Cherry; Tailchaser's Song is my favorite book that he wrote.

Wow...I forgot about this until only a few days ago.
So..I'ver added 19 more books to my list, giving me the total of 92 books read!
I'm only 925 pages away from my goal of 30000 pages for the year. *rejoices* I can definitely finish this. I'm thinking I may even go over the goal. Since I'm working on a 700 page book right now. Hopefully I will finish it soon.

Hey everyone!

Alright, I had to share this with you guys-- I figured that you, too, might enjoy Shakespeare, and so must have an interest in the following important information. Be careful! :)

(note-- there is music and animation involved)

Funny. I didn't even know about the project, yet I've read close to 55 books so far this year. (54, and I'm reading another one.)

The last book I read was The Diary of Anne Frank. (I'm pretty sure that's what it's called. Either that, or it is The Diary of a Young Girl.)

You're very close! It's called Anne Frank: The Diary of a Young Girl. How did you like it?

I read it last about four years ago, but I loved it. Anne's story made me cry.

@Stormy1: Was it really good? I picked up that series to help my cousin with a book project and now I'm a little hooked. I'm waiting for paperback though.

@Aislin: XD That was great. My Shakespeare teacher used to tell our heads will explode too! But she said it would be from not enough Shakespeare... x_X

I've never been good at remembering books titles. Personally, I found the book rather inspiring.

Dream:: Yeah, it was really good. I got it Thursdays night and read it all at school finishing it on the bus ride home. It was amazing, I couldn't put down (except when I got threaten by my teachers ^^;; )

I've started reading New Moon (although my list by now is sadly outdated XD)

I miss Edward, despite his sort of one-dimensionality.

I've only read excerpts for classes. Dx
I have it on my "To Read" list though. I really really want to read it.

Aw, poor Kitami!! *hugs*

I just bought it today and I'm having trouble getting to work on my essays because of it. Darn you, Stephenie Meyer.

Wow, I just realized her name is spelled different than any other "Stephanie" I've known.

New Moon made me cry, too.
But not when Edward left, oddly enough. xDD At another part.
But I can't say which since I don't know how far you are and stuff. >> DUN WANNA SPOIL.

Haha, no Spoilers pwease~

Chances are I'll be done in a couple of days anyway. Darn you life, for getting in the way of my fiction. If only procrastinating didn't mean the wasting away of money, I'd keep at it until I finished the book. Sadly, I have homework to do..

DARN. Now I'm so curious as to what made you guys cryyyyy.

That wasn't Edward leaving, of course. I was sad too, but I've never cried over a book before, so maybe I'm just dense to this sort of thing? XD I do get teary-eyed though
